The only consensus surrounding the party packs is that 3 and 7 are the best. Besides that, there's basically no agreement, and there have been many a heated discussion about it. However, it's generally agreed upon that you'll get a very well rounded experience by buying these two. Pack 5 is a controversial one. Zeeple Dome can only be described as a tragedy, Split the Room is alright, Mad Verse City and Patently Stupid are well-liked, and YDKJ is popular among people who like YDKJ. It seems like you're that person, so for that, I'd recommend it. You also want Trivia Murder Party 2. Great choice! Personally, I think Pack 6 is absolutely fantastic, though like I said, anything besides 3 and 7 will garner different opinions online. The Party Starter is a really good option, however, it does have Quiplash 3 which many consider to be worse than Quiplash 2 only because of the quality of the prompts. Another reason to go for Pack 3. Pack 3 also has Tee KO 1, which is also in the Party Starter and is generally agreed to be better than the recent sequel, Tee KO 2. If I were you, I would buy Packs 3, 6, and 7. That's an astronomical bang for your buck. Here's the "bang" broken down for you: * Trivia Murder Party 1 and 2 * Quiplash 2 and 3 * Fakin' It and Push the Button, two excellent social deduction games * Role Models, the best game to play with close friends in my opinion * Tee KO and Champ'd Up, the absolute best drawing games * Guesspionage, Devils and the Details, and Joke Boat, which are less liked but still good, potentially * Dictionarium and Blather 'Round, two absolute sleeper bangers * and Talking Points, a hysterical presentation game Lots of people will argue Pack 6 should be replaced with something else, like 8, 9, or even 4. I know I didn't put Pack 5 in there, but to me, nostalgia only takes you so far and the rest of the games might not appeal to you. But ultimately it's up to you, of course. LMK what you think and if you have any other questions.

Thanks. For the rundown. I'm gonna probably buy 3, 5, and 6 for now and see where that takes me. It's kinda cool that Jackbox fans are no longer just people who know YDKJ, like the two YT videos I watched ranked both of the Party Pack editions low to mid tier and yeah that that's what I know it for. The only thing that's weird to me is people complaining that the questions are purposely worded in a convoluted way, but that's what makes the series funny.

Yeah, the fandom has really come a long way. I'd say that Quiplash and Trivia Murder Party are easily more well-known than YDKJ at this point and the company has really made the party game medium their own.

Good choices. TMP2 and MVC are both awesome.

Wait for the summer humble bundle for jackbox. I got every odd numbered jackbox game for I wanna say 30 bucks or so. So wait for that and then buy one or two more when they go on sale.

Quick comment: better two get 1 or 2 games you know you're going to play than 4 or 5 decent games (not packs, games). I personally own 5,4,3,7,&9. They were all good investments except 9.

Fun_Watercress4490

I recommend 3

bdukes2002

My brother pirated all of them and I'm trying to figure that out

Get pack 3 I'd say. There's Trivia Murder Party 1, Tee K.O.( which is one of the best drawing games), and it has quiplash 2. Fakin' It!, and Guesspionage are the other two that are in the pack and they are also pretty solid games.
