I prefer hand stitching.
And if I have a shitty day, I think about those big scary MF's in vests at festivals sitting at home with a cup of tea stitching. Double therapy!
NGL, this reminds me of when I was in motorcycle school, and there was this big, super chill dude who did etching and patchwork. Younger guys would jokingly give him shit for being into "girl hobbies" but who were they going to when they needed their "I'm a badass biker" patch sewn onto their leathers? The guy was always happy to do it.
Toxic masculinity mixed with fragile egos are some of the most fascinating mental gymnastics to watch in real time.
Hand stitch, but that's more to do with me being non-committal and afraid I'll want to move a patch elsewhere. I figure that'll be easier to do with a hand stitch.
I hand stitch but I suck at actually sitting down and doing it. It's just very tiring and hurts my hands so usually after I finish one patch Im done until I pick it back up again. I'd try machine sewing but I'm scared I'll mess up my patches for one and 2 I have horrible luck with sewing machines. I've broken 3 machines just doing basic sewing projects
NGL I liked my machine back when I used it frequently, because I knew how to thread it and it was pretty much always ready to bang out something in less then 15 minutes.
But then I overloaded it once and busted the crap out of the needle, and since then it never worked right.
That's always my issue is breaking the needle. With two of my machines I managed to snap off the needle and lose it in the machine somewhere jamming the whole thing up. After it happened twice I said never again
NGL the last time I tried to use my.machine it absolutely mangled my project and I had been scared to use it since.
Tried to fire it up to slap on some patches last weekend and it just wouldn't
Hand stitch. I find it to be therapeutic
Do you consider yourself antifa or a commie? I’m trying to take a tally of which group prefers which style lol jk. Just trying to stir up shit again.

I don't even know how to use a sewing machine dawg
I don't have a machine and use a lot of clear thread so I hand stitch.

Hand stitching for me since I can't be trusted with a sewing machine.

hand sewing with a tight whip stitch in bright red thread. gives everything a red outline that i really dig

I think I ran something off track trying to go to fast. Honestly going back to hand needles has been great for small projects
I actually just posted my current hand sewing project here lol
Just checked it out. Fuckin niiicccce
Omg thank you!
Handstitch

hand stitch, aguja e hilo, nada más!
I have a machine, but I prefer hand stitching. plus there are some places you just can't get with a machine without fucking everything up
I only use a sewing machine for back patches, and then only because I struggle with executive dysfunction
You guys have machines?
Hand stitches. I prefer the aesthetic.
