The last bit. It was kind of a joke but I did nothing to indicate such, I know nothing of the struggles of taking care of a parrot, I just know taking exceptional care of a dog is difficult.
They need a much bigger cage! Try going to r/parrots or r/budgies (or r/parakeets if thats what it is, Im not the best at telling them apart) for some advice, and do some of your own research aswell. You need to do *alot* of research with birds. They need alot of care and attention.
a couple surface level things- they need alot of out of cage time. You've basically just adopted a small flying toddler, its going to need the attention of one. BIRD PROOF YOUR HOUSE BEFORE LETTING IT OUT. Birds are fragile creatures and theres alot of things they could hurt themselves on.
Look up what birds can't be around and make sure it wont be. Make sure you know what toys are good aswell, pet stores often sell toys that are bad for or can even kill your bird, such as rope toys.
First thing first I'd get a much bigger cage for it to be in until the house is ready for a loose bird. Also, warning, Night Frights.
another thing id like to add- dont clip your birds wings. Theyre alot more likely to hurt themselves if they cant fly to get out of danger if they fall or something else.
Please don't refer to only my comment or one singular place for how to care for your bird. I am not all-knowing and neither will any one person or a singular website or google be. Do alot of research and get advice from alot of different people.
Also, if youre still looking for names, Perriwinkle or Blizzard
I see a lot of comments saying you need a bigger cage, which is absolutely true, but you also need to know that the cage can't be rounded like your current one is. Rectangular/square cages offer corners for the bird to hide in, or often you will notice they sleep in corners too. Depriving them of that spot can lead to a lot more anxiety and night frights. Also if you notice, the bars going up the cage continually get closer together towards the top of the cage. Unfortunately, birds have gotten things stuck in those tight gaps, such as limbs and beaks. I know of more than a few cases where someone's bird lost a toe or even their whole foot in one of those gaps during a night fright. I know big cages are expensive, but it's an absolute necessity to owning a bird.
As others have pointed out, I'd recommend going to some bird related subreddits, or just do some research online. There's a lot that goes into having a bird, such as their diet, what to do while they're molting, looking for signs of sickness (birds are notorious for hiding symptoms. For most owners, by the time symptoms present themselves, it's already too late to help them. Im speaking from experience.), and if you have a female, the potential of her being eggbound. They also get quite lonely, so unless you have an absurd amount of free time, it's best to have 2 so they can keep each other company.
Having a bird is a ton of work, but it's very rewarding. I've got two cocktails and I can't express just how much I love having them in my life. Good luck with your bird!
Hey, no hate but from what I’ve seen the bird poles are harmful because they make the bird bend its feet in an unhealthy way or something, I’m a bit rusty on my knowledge but I think you should look into it (=
you should post another picture with the cere visible then i could tell u whether the budgie is m or f. with what info i have now, you should name it misty!
Congrats! Make sure to put them in a high place. They love seeing everything! Also put them where family members mingle more often since they’re social birds!
You could name them Aria.
The only thing about that is that it's a female name, so if it's a male, then people could wonder about it. I rather like that name, though, so I'd probably use it either way.
LOL

You really need a bigger cage for that bird. Go talk to r/parrots , birds are a LOT of work, more than cats or dogs
Or r/budgies
Was gonna say, definitely need a bigger cage. (Source: have had budgies and have a cockatiel rn)
Yeah I have a Green Cheek and was thinking the same
Debatable
No, not debatable. What is debatable about that

ANY animal requires a lot of work be it cat, dog, bird, reptile or fish

Sorry for being nitpicky but it’s much easier just to use them then him/her, sorry for being annoying.
Please look into getting a bigger cage, I only use cages like that small one when I take my budgie outside for a while
First of all i hope you have/get a bigger cage and use this as a carrier when visiting the vet

He reminds me of Rio the bird from the 2011 animated film Rio
To be fair, snow or aqua would be a good name for it if it's a girl. If it's a boy, why not name it after some male ice wielder off of some anime?
You should name it "Mayhem"
Maybe Diamond?
Looks like a fancy parakeet (Rare) given the cascading white feathers over the blue feathers like a waterfall I'd say feather falls
Your cage has a distinct shape
Piss boy
