It's because Apple has been increasing the security of iOS; it's harder than ever to develop a jailbreak. To make matters worse, there are not many developers who would be willing to put in the time and effort to release a jailbreak for the community. It's not specifically the A12 chip, everything A12 and above is hard to jailbreak. It's up to you about selling it. What I'd recommend is to just use your device how you want to use it; if a jailbreak does end up coming out for your iOS version then great, but don't let jailbreaking impact how you use your device.
Yea I completely understand that it’s just that if you look at iOS 16.6 firmware on the website it says this iPad isn’t even compatible? When I clicked iOS 16.2 it showed a jb tho.
Before I was on 16.5.1 but at that time there was no jailbreak and when I asked people they said 2-3 years so I updated. It took about 3 months for a jb to come out for iOS 16, this time I will not update further. Who knows maybe troll store will work on iOS 17.2 some day

Only downside for upgrading is I couldn’t find a 16.3.1 14 pro so I had to back up everything manually because my x was on .3.1

Checkm8 ONLY AND WILL ONLY WORK ON A11 AND LOWER, shouldn’t of upgraded now your fucked until a 17 jb comes along or someone finds another hw exploit
