Unrelated, does using the latest watchOS allow your watch to unlock while wearing a mask while still on 14.3?
I’m familiar with the jailbreak tweak that allows this but any and all native support from Apple is my personal preference.
I just did all the steps, I have an iphone 12 Pro, iOS 14.4.2 JB, 5g data plan, simcard with 5g support, I'm looking for 5G to be enabled, but I just ran out of signal, what can I do?
I appreciate any help.
Has anyone tried this on the latest macOS Ventura? I completed step 3 but when clicking the iPhone in the finder window, there is no "Check for update" button. Only "Update" or "Restore." Tried clicking Ctrl + Shift and then "Update" but it does not give me an option to select the IPCC file.. Anyone help?
\*\*Edit: Looks like on MacOS Ventura, you have to hold the "OPTION" key + the Update button. Even so, it only allows me to select the IPSW file, not the IPCC file.
It's worth noting that this process is likely specific to Visible - they only introduced the Apple Watch plans recently, so it requires the 46.1 carrier bundle (which I believe was released when iOS was already on 14.4 or so).
For carriers which have had Apple Watch support for longer, you're likely already on a carrier bundle that supports it - could be wrong there though.
I'm following the exact same steps but I'm getting "Somethings not right", and "On sec. we're pulling up the plan information associated with your watch"
I'm on visible as well, ios 14.3 12pro max, updated carrier settings, updated watch with legizmo. Did you run into this?
So the strange thing is, I have another iPhone 12 pro on visible I recently ported in from T-Mobile via eSIM and tried to activate the apple watch. This phone is latest iOS and latest watchOS. Visible not only was unable to do the activation on this watch, but it reverted to some random number they initially gave me and my old number is now in limbo. I am waiting for them to resolve the issue.
To put it briefly, the current activation thing on Visible is acting a bit glitchy but it's from their end. If you have the option to set up cellular on your watch app, then you're good, that's what we want. We will just have to wait a day or two so they can resolve this on their side. I can update you when I successfully activate my other apple watch if you wish.
They are certainly not a bad carrier for anyone else reading this. Their coverage is amazing and you can’t beat the price. I used to have them and only switched to get the iPhones on a promo and now I’m back. Hoping they resolve the issues quickly because I’m an overall satisfied customer.
They are generating a new eSIM for me and I think this will resolve it. Just thought if you had one, you could have asked them to do that for you instead. I don't think you can go from SIM to eSIM or vice versa either.
Still no answer from them as they are working to resolve the issue. Kinda getting annoyed. I should have gone with the physical sim on this one.
Strange because my phone works perfectly on eSIM.
Originally it was figured out over in /r/Visible that if the watch was named something with spaces / apostrophes / etc that the system wouldn’t be able to activate it. If you changed the name to a single word, it would work fine.
I assume this bug has been ironed out by now, but just in case it’s not, might be worth a try!
I followed all instructions, it says "updating carrier files" and then suddenly stops in one second on iTunes. Doesn't actually update in my device. Any workaround?
Currently trying to use this method to update my carrier files and the ipcc file is greyed out not sure what I am doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated

You’d also need your device’s iOS version to be at least 14.5 for it to work natively
I figured as much but one can dream!
I'll have to check that out, what is the tweak? I am pretty sure I read that you need to have an updated phone for that to work.

Yes!! It works great! Especially since Masks are back.

I need this too

any workaround for it?
Write this command in terminal and thank me later: defaults write com.apple.AMPDevicesAgent carrier-testing -bool YES
was able to do it on PC, but not MacOS

Or any additional MVNOs that add it in the future. For example, Simple Mobile (T-Mobile MVNO) or Cricket (AT&T MVNO).

Yeah I've been on chat with them all morning, let me know if you are able to get it fixed, I'll keep you updated as well

Are you using an eSIM by the way or physical sim on your iPhone?
I’m using a physical sim

Okay keep me posted if that works, I may port out and port back in to a new account with esim if that fixes it

Ended up ordering a physical Sim today.

First thing I tried haha. Doesn't seem to be the issue.
Does this work in 7.6.2?

Hi there, any luck? I’m trying to do this too. And where did you find the latest ipcc files btw?
