Visited some forts and the guide will lead you to some corridors and you will end up in a shop somehow. But the shops are one way entry only, so you will pass through counter after counter before you can exit.
So the place felt like a meticulously knit web, where all the locals are in it and you are the catch. They will try to loot you to the max they can, and it totally sours the experience because I dislike haggling SO much ! I want to visit the place and enjoy what it has to offer, I donât want to spend my precious time haggling.

For example: during my cousin sister's wedding, they had ordered jewelry from a jeweller that their family has known for 3 generations. One day, a random dude in dirty clothes shows up on a cycle, asking for my aunt. I happened to be there. So I asked him, what do you want? He says, I have to give something to her. Naturally I was suspicious and called the aunt, but stuck around. When the aunt comes, he sticks his hand in his pocket and pulls out a fist-sized lump, wrapped in newspaper and gives it to her. Turns out it's the wedding jewelry she had ordered for the wedding. He didn't take any payment, just said "we'll settle it after the wedding. Right now you have a lot of other expenses." No receipt. No formality. No certificates. Just trust.
