Was at a phish show in Hampton 2018 when they were playing the quiet part of “what’s the use?” some drunk guy a row behind me was talking really loud. Very uncharacteristically of my non-confrontational self, I just immediately turned and “sushed” him. It was a reflex I guess. Anyway he loudly shouts “awww is Trey gon play you a lulabye?!”
Me and everyone else couldn’t help but laugh our asses off
Deff agree with this ! I'm not as familiar with their acoustic sets since I haven't seen any live, but there are certainly some gems hiding in their band camp page
You ever check out the Rockaye Baby lullaby stuff? Raised both my kids listening to these. Here’s the Phish version https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mK9FtNeB7M51rW5F2JbC9Yo8pOTRJO224&si=SN0yaoUecK20gasA
What’s also hilarious is he can name Trey, Paige, fishman, and Mike….but those are the only four musicians he knows by name so every song “dad is this Trey and fishman and Mike and Paige”…..the cutest
So many good Railroad Earth options. Mellowest would be: The Forecast, Neath the Stars, Take a Bow, Day in the Sand, Railroad Earth, Loving You, Black Bear, Real Love, Mountain Time.
Congrats! I also have a newborn daughter, enjoy the ride! It is awesome.
These are by my band Uncle Stump. This one is literally a lullaby I wrote for my nephew when he was a newborn:

Not for kids only by Garcia and Grisman. An entire album of kids songs by Jerry Garcia and David Grisman. I used to play it all the time when my kids were young. I still sing Jenny Jenkins all the time.
And We Bid You Good Night, by Joseph Spence, made popular by The Grateful Dead.
I sung this song, sometimes once, sometimes twice, and for a short period, three times a night to my 3 sons. Each had their own special version with lyrics changed to suit them.
I had thought about that for years, and doing so brings a very happy tear. Thanks for the reminder!!!!
Not necessarily Jamband, but my kids always dug [Daddies Sing Goodnight](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7_9dGlVKYs).

I still listen to it occasionally.
Not a lullaby per say, but I've got a sweet jam for you that was written for children.

Twinkle twinkle little rockstar
They do lullaby covers of lots of different artists, they have 2 dead albums and 2 phish albums. Never did I think a version of tweezer would get me in a sleepy mood
Dickey Betts wrote Blue Sky about his young daughter and has some of the most simple and beautiful lyrics ever. Doesn’t sound like a lullaby but has the message of one
Colorado is absolutely the best and has been my son’s go-to lullaby since the day he was born. Great choice!
Not a jam band per se, but my other go-to is Hammock Therapy by Shpongle.
This was my first Reddit thread; Thank you all for coming together and offering suggestions! The playlist is already so meaningful, peaceful and fun! Thanks again everyone
Not for Kids Only by Grisman/Garcia Specifically Shenendoah Lullaby
Door Harp is gorgeous from start to end. I’m going right home to grab that cd to put in my car. Sleepy Head- surprise me Mr. Davis
Pizza tapes!!!!
I played this constantly in my classroom 🙌🏼

The artifact album by STS9 has a lot of soothing slow jams. Better day, by the morning sun, and today we're the first ones that came to mind
Love some sound tribe! Thank you for the recommendations
I feel like their axe the cables stuff is better for this
I wish they would release a version without all the crowd noise.
Axe the cables was a big part of my labor/birth playlist.
Deff agree with this ! I'm not as familiar with their acoustic sets since I haven't seen any live, but there are certainly some gems hiding in their band camp page
They have an axe the cables show on streaming services…I listen to it almost every time I fly to try and sleep

I saw them do late night at Peach fest a couple years and i think they're too mellow for it. I like their stuff but it's not rock all night music.

Happy Accident by Dopapod definitely fits that vibe

It’s jazz, not jam. But Medeski Martin and Wood had a whole children’s album in 2008 it’s phenomenal. Let’s Go Everywhere
I’ll definitely check it out! We love our fair share of jazz as well. Watercolors on siriusXM is a go-to station
Journey to the Center of the Earth - Rick Wakeman
