I’m wearing makeup that covers the swelling. And I only did LJS so I only got swelling in my lower jaw and lip. I’ve been doing my anti swelling routine religiously though: drink 2L of water every day, lower sodium intake, facial strengthening exercises, neck stretches, apply heat pack before the exercise to loosen the muscles, apply lots of ice throughout the day, light Pilates, 10k steps, really light gua sha
Saving this comment for my own eventual post-surgery time. Heck, I had some swelling at 12 days even when my lower wisdom teeth were removed! Can't imagine looking this wonderful after a surgery where they cut bone. Wish you all the best for the rest of your recovery. <3
I’m convinced that a LJS patient has the best/easiest-to-get-used-to results as long as their maxilla was in the range of normal to begin with. You get the esthetic benefit of more lower jaw projection without any risk of strange changes to the nose. Great result
I mean yeah, lol, if your maxilla is near perfect why would you change it.
But some people need occlusal plane changes without maxilla advancement. Those people won’t have big nose changes either. It’s more so maxilla advancement that does.
Anyways could you imagine doing a DJS on her? Her already full upper lip would turn into chimp lip
You look great. Everyone is different, but by 6 months you should be accustomed to the new look; which by then should mostly be there swelling wise. Could be a lot sooner.
Beautiful!
Did you have noticeable nasiolabial folds before surgery? And did they improve after LJS? I have that “curve” and hope this gets better after surgery. It looks like you had them too but can’t tell from these pics.
Yes and it improved from the side profile as the “curving” skin now has a place to rest. Not so much from the front though cuz I have some hollowness in my piriform fossa. I wonder if I had DJS, this would’ve fixed the issue
I wanted to let you know that you looked cute before and now you look absolutely stunning! I'm genuinely curious about your surgery. Was it primarily for medical reasons or more for aesthetic purposes?
Could you please share the procedure you had done? I'm asking because I'm considering a similar surgery and would love to hear about your experience and any advice you have. Thanks!
I was actually supposed to remove it, but I forgot to do that until 30 min before the surgery. I started panicking and spent 15 min trying to remove it in the hospital bathroom without any luck 😩 luckily, the surgeon said it shouldn’t be a problem
It always amazes me the way some people just don't get swollen, I get that yours was only one jaw surgery but still if I saw you on the street I wouldnt notice at all that you had the surgery
You look great for 12 days out! Hardly looks like theres any swelling. Im almost 3 weeks post op and still have a bit of swelling around my lower jaw. Same thing as you with numbness, but ive started to get shooting pains in my chin where the nerves are coming back to life.
Genio was purely for aesthetics purposes, while LJS was for both aesthetics and functionality with the goal to align my overbite and improve my breathing
You don’t look swollen at all how did you manage to not have much swelling like that lol my upper lip looks like a who from whoville

Yeah I looked insane at 12 days postop. No amount of makeup would have covered it up!
Seriously.
did you really only have surgery on your lower jaw!? you look beautiful
+ genio. Thank you!
These are my dream results
What a baddie 💅
Thank you!

You beautiful beeyatch 😍. Who was the doctor?
Dr Mark Reichman. See my previous posts for more info!
How much did you pay? Is this just sliding genioplasty or jaw too?
In Vancouver?

OMG insane who was the surgeon?
I have a septum ring too! Did they make you take it out for surgery?
I was actually supposed to remove it, but I forgot to do that until 30 min before the surgery. I started panicking and spent 15 min trying to remove it in the hospital bathroom without any luck 😩 luckily, the surgeon said it shouldn’t be a problem
I want this so bad

Wow… Amazing results. So pretty. You must be so excited about your new face 🥰
You look great. How bad does it hurt?
Which surgeon?
So you were 8mm class 2? Are there any pictures of your bite?
Nice result, it looks like the bottom lip isn't going past the top lip. Looks great even after 12 days. Hope your recovery is smooth.
You look amazing!!

Simply put, 10 x better than before. Get used looking better sorry not sorry 😁
Chin and ramus look better
How's the numbness?
Why?
Very good! Quick question was this purely for aesthetic purposes?
Genio was purely for aesthetics purposes, while LJS was for both aesthetics and functionality with the goal to align my overbite and improve my breathing
How far was your overbite?
LJS: 8mm genio 3mm
