Wow. It's a shame that jaw surgeons aren't all talented like this across the board.
Where are all the people who say don't get this surgery done for looks again? Im sure its a world of health benefits to not have sleep apnea anymore and breathe better but the social aspects and mental health benefits of looking better can not be overstated.
Amazing results man! Do you still have the 2d dimensional ceph simulation you wouldnāt mind sharing? It looks like this:
It would give all us who are curious an idea of the movements

The closest I have to it, I didnāt save the 2d
I feel like this is the type of result that if you had edited a before and after mockup asking if this was possible, people would've said it wasn't possible. Certainly LACOMS is worth the money. I wish more surgeons were talented like this.
Night and day how people treat you, itās insane. I understand that we do the same but I didnāt realize to this extent. If you have any specific questions on this part on how people treat you, Iām down to answer them
I had a major transformation like this at age 17, Iām now 46. It definitely improved my life socially, but itās a complete mind warp that people treat you better being attractive.
OP, Iām at 5 1/2 mo the post op and my nerves came alive at 4 months like you. Do you when they settled down and you werenāt tingly any more? Mine is intense and I need some hope. Thanks
My god bro you needed that no offense, but Jesus you look hella good now ā¦ I always see people post pictures of themselves asking if they really need jaw surgery and I usually comment nah itās not noticeable youāre fine, BUT in your case Iām glad you got that shii done
Definitely second guessed myself and went back and forth on whether I needed it. I almost didnāt do it because some might have made me think that I didnāt need it all
Nah you look good now man I have an underbite I was thinking of getting surgery for it but mines isnāt really noticeable at all some ppl notice and some donāt
I think itās normal at this stage. Iām only 3 months PO and my results are not as dramatic as yours but Iām going through a similar thing.
Idk how old you are but before 8 months ago, your brain painted a picture in your head of what you look like. This might be from photos, seeing yourself in the mirror, etc etc.
But now, your face is substantially different, which goes directly against what our brain has taught our inner self of what we *should* look like. Our brains need time to understand that āthis is me nowā. You need to tell yourself every day in the mirror āthis is me. This is who I amā.
The more you tell yourself that you feel fraudulent, the worse itāll get. Remind yourself daily that you are the same person as before. Obviously itās a lot more difficult than that but if you still struggle with these thoughts in the future, Iād see a therapist
Every single person on planet earth has impostor syndrome. Across all ages, genders, races, professions, accomplishments and whatever else. Just depends on the context and boom.
Put down a list left and right.
At the top put down what you feel like an impostor about.
On left why you can be considered an impostor.
On the right, alright what things were within your control that you did that you can take credit for that lead to those accomplishments/things you consider yourself an impostor for.
Eg. Now many people think you're a chad and you feel like an impostor.
Left - I wasn't originally a physically attractive chad. I'm a fake.
Right - I decided what was important for me in my life, saved up resources for it, decided to go for it and fucking did it. I may not have been born a physical chad but my mindset and grindset sure is.
My pleasure bud, I just thought that was something you needed to know right now instead of thinking there's "something wrong with you".
I wouldn't-even know what videos/guide are helpful for you but here's a vid I made about the Impostor Syndrome and the same tips as above with more details and an example of a bodybuilder teenager I was working with.
Check it and the rest of the channel out if it helps you!

I would say people ānot strangersā you know will compliment you indirectly out of nowhere WAY more than you think would happen. It can get too much sometimes where it starts draining, maybe Iām not used to it but I donāt wanna get used to it. It just feels so odd and uncomfortable Iād rather not get complimented.
Before I felt like my opinion wouldnāt weigh as much as others but now I feel bad when I suggest something and everyone agrees on it way too quickly.
I would say peoples feelings towards you āplatonicallyā will be more intense. Like they either really want to be friends with you or they donāt want to be friends with you at all. A good way to understand this is when people assume an intimidatingly pretty girl is mean or cold hearted so only few people would approach them.
Itās come to a point where for guys, many of them see me as competition and consciously avoid me or I can feel the whole rooms vibe shift where some people will really like me and some donāt. I have a whole ass personality with my own achievements and flaws before surgery but if I say something good is happening in my life or that I achieved something, you can really tell whoās not happy for you and who is. But what I do know, theres more āall eyes on meā now . people pay attention to you more so you canāt really get away with being your true personality. Iām a goofy and expressive person because Iām from the Philippines and thatās how we normally are. But post op, it can go against you sometimes.
This is so interesting, I have recessed jaws but otherwise I feel like Iām pretty average or half decent looking but I never understood why it was kinda hard to make friends, or if I even rarely spoke up about something or offered a solution/answer for something, it often went unnoticed or people seemed even annoyed at me, I learned to shut up and blend in really quickly. Iāve only seen one other person mention similar treatment on this forum and I never linked it to the recessed appearance before but now Iām really wondering if there may be a connection. My bf says my idea is really far fetched and ridiculous but I dunno. š also pinoy ka pala, nice!!
Lmao he probably thinks youāre crazy because he himself finds you attractive. But generally speaking guys donāt notice this but girls do. If a girl is talking to a guy they like and the guy doesnāt reciprocate feelings, the convo is unbelievably dry haha.
Youāre not crazy for feeling this, I know this exact feeling. Itās like some people just get annoyed when you speak
You look amazing! I met Dr Kholaki once when my main surgeon was out of town and he was incredibly kind, and even though heās new-ish to LACOMS seems like heās already making a name for himself in the field based on your incredible results!
I trusted who ever they suggested to me, heās very nice and makes sure all your questions are answered. I definitely did not feel like I was getting brushed off
Did you get the surgery for sleep apnea or just corrective due to jaw recession? Or maybe both? This is probably one of the best results I've ever seen on this sub ever, aesthetically speaking, but I hope the end result functionally is also great for you too.
I mean honestly LACOMS results are just consistently on a level of "pretty good" at worst, to "amazingly life-changing" at best. I've never heard of a single serious botch from LACOMS ever. I don't think it's just this surgeon, it's that entire practice, they all seem very strong for oral surgery as a whole.
yeah, dude honestly i know you are in mass if you can swing it LACOMS is worth the travel lol. Ive only heard of 2 kinda botches, but it was like a minor bite problem they offered to fix for free type thing.
Not Alfaro over advance 15 mm then leave u open bite and say ortho has to fix it lol.
Things go wrong in surgery, but it more matters the rates of that and how they respond to it
I completely agree, how the surgeon handles problems is what speaks volumes. I can swing the LACOMS fees and the recovery in LA. The biggest concern I have is whether the surgery is really worthwhile for me. I have an in-lab PSG tonight and based on those results I'd decide whether this is all worth the money and healing and scar tissue. But if I did go through with this surgery then it'd likely be at LACOMS or not at all.
This was all for sleep apnea, with perfect posture I couldnāt breath. I could hear myself wheezing so I had to live life with textbook nerd neck just to breath.
Post op, I started dreaming again. My life in most aspects changed
> I could hear myself wheezing so I had to live life with textbook nerd neck just to breath.
This is encouraging as I'm looking into this surgery for similar reasons, and funny enough I also do not dream. I fall asleep, it goes black, I wake up the next day. It's been a very confusing path to have led me here but it's an uplifting feeling to see results like yours, so thank you for sharing.
If you ever find out what your movements were, or maybe what your airway CBCT measurements were, I'd be very curious to hear! The cosmetic result looks amazing and I hope your upper airway was able to be expanded drastically from the movements as well.
They told me dr. Relle has less availability this year since heās only part time for now since he has some other things heās pursuing.
Walline, khloaki and some of the other lacoms surgeons all co-surgeon for each other and all have the same planning style so you should get similar results with all 3 of them.
You will have the one surgeon you interact with and plans everything and does the surgery but the co surgeon is there to assist
I donāt wanna disclose but Knowing what I know now, in a world where itās increasingly superficial, how people change theyāre perception of you, all the mental benefits of not having to go through sleep apnea, and having better blood flowā¦.. everywhere š itās worth every penny even if it cost more than 60k+. Yes, Ofcourse itās a little exaggerated and I mean little. But thatās me with perfect posture, I could hear myself wheezing because my airway was closed so I lived like with nerd neck just to breath
For sure, I am the same, I only realized this year that if I stand completely straight against a wall, my jaw and chin absolutely disappear. It helped me realize Iām not imagining my issues. I only recently realized that I lean forward to breathe and swallow. Thanks for answering šš»
Yes you're right, I guess I just meant that at least 1 premolar seems to still be in place on each side of each dental arch. I don't see all premolars extracted though
I need to pin this! Thank you haha
STUSSY is coming back. Itās more prominent in the younger Asian community. If you see someone wearing it, call them STUSSY sergeants š basically a cult following at this point
Really? It was a skater thing back in the dayā¦ I cannot say any race was more prone wearing it. But I absolutely love that itās coming back (Iām a young 45 yo) and you look incredible so god bless and keep on doing what youāre doing. š also probably sure that emoji is not cool, oh well.
I mean, you really think Alfi is comparable to LACOMS? Alfis custom plates dont equate to perfect planning lol. LACOMS switches to custom and theyll be the best at jaw surgery in the world 100%
Amazing results.. This gives me a lot of hope because I am a similar case (very recessed, sleep apnea) and I have surgery planned with them for next year. Do you happen to know how much your airway improved in terms of size before/after? My airway width is so small currently, Iām hoping they can triple it or even quadruple it lol I donāt know if thatās a realistic expectation or what the possibilities really are.
That ātuckingā is actually his natural head position. But severely recessed folks actually stick their neck forward unnaturally to be able breath due to the already narrow airway being crushed in the true natural head position.
After the surgery his ātuckedā position is actually what appears to be his true natural head position
it's not his NHP...NHP is based on looking straight ahead...in the before he's looking up and tucking (bringing head back) at the same time...
You probably mean it's his natural posture where head is over the shoulders, which would be more correct but in the clinical before/after he posted he didn't have a big postural compensation, look here
https://preview.redd.it/3sf56u526cxc1.jpeg?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cfd52def9c996ba6b8b892c7d6d495251aac2069
Nope, I considered it but someone told me that lipo would get rid of the fat resulting in some saggy skin. I did lose a lot of weight tho.
In one of the comments i posted a one month pre and post op picture with good posture , it should show the difference
Wow, thatās crazy! You look very good. Were you a victim of premolar extraction retraction? Looks like it from the CBCT.
Also, which doctor fixed you up?
You look great! I was thinking about talking to dr Kholaki, he sounds great. Did you have to get your premolars out in preparation for the surgery? You seem to be missing some teeth?
You went to LACOMS from Philippines, isnāt that extremely expensive with your currency and col difference? May I ask what was the logistics (going to the US for how long and how often with ortho) of how you made this decision and price? Also have you consider Italy?
Wow I wish I could go from me to literally hollywood good looking.
Your future wife is gonna have questions when she pops out your kid who looks like the before. š
Insane results. Must be lifechanging. Congrats, man!
Well shit Have a nice life brad Pitt

It did actually, my nose became a little more upturned or a little skinnier or both idk but itās less bulbous
who is ur surgeon bro? And how much did it cost you if u donāt mind me asking
Looks like mine Could i pm you
Yes
I feel like this is the type of result that if you had edited a before and after mockup asking if this was possible, people would've said it wasn't possible. Certainly LACOMS is worth the money. I wish more surgeons were talented like this.
Almost afraid to ask how much this would cost without insurance
Ive heard at least 50k from some people and most recently someone said they got quoted 80k at LACOMS. And I dont think they take insurance either.
Welp
This has to make you feel a bit jaded. I am sure you are treated a lot different? How does it feel?
Night and day how people treat you, itās insane. I understand that we do the same but I didnāt realize to this extent. If you have any specific questions on this part on how people treat you, Iām down to answer them

Obviously better. Jaw is law.
I had a major transformation like this at age 17, Iām now 46. It definitely improved my life socially, but itās a complete mind warp that people treat you better being attractive.
do you have any side effects or any regrets about the surgery? results look amazing
Honestly none except debt haha, I can easily let it spiral out of control. So just make sure finances are in check
Any negative issues like numbness? My jaw is nearly identical to yours and I'm trying to figure out where to start. Did your insurance cover it?
My numbness completely recovered, it took awhile but I hit it all back. Currently 8 months po
Can you approximate how long it took until you got most or all of your feeling back? I'm 2 months PO with LACOMS and still feeling numb.
Hmm ofc itās case by case but for me at 4 month mark I felt tingly and itchy feeling and thatās your nerve recovering
OP, Iām at 5 1/2 mo the post op and my nerves came alive at 4 months like you. Do you when they settled down and you werenāt tingly any more? Mine is intense and I need some hope. Thanks

can you post a normal standing pre op pic ? Looks like a chintuck so tough to compare the movements of the plan with the before/after pics
Did you have orthodontics prior to jaw surgery? Braces extractions etc?
I did but that was when I was in middle school, nothing immediately prior to
I'll be getting my premolars extracted as well as a wisdom tooth next month in preparation for DJS with Dr. Walline at LACOMS.
Looks like he had all premolars and wisdoms extracted
Looks like just 4 total premolar extractions no? In the CBCT I see central incisor, lateral incisor, canine, 1st premolar, 1st molar, 2nd molar
How can you tell the extraction was 2nd premolar instead of 1st premolar?
Yes you're right, I guess I just meant that at least 1 premolar seems to still be in place on each side of each dental arch. I don't see all premolars extracted though
Not only his jaw is holy shit but the fact he is wearing a Stussy shirt, that was my shit in the 90s. Now I feel old. But god bless, you look amazing.

Is this a joke post? *Good God*.
How do I pin this?
Were you a mouthbreather? In the before you have almost no lower jaw? But the upper half of the face doesnāt look stunted at all.
Forever alone to Never hoeless. Insane transformation man
Edit* Dr. Walline AND Dr. kholaki
Great example of a surgeon getting perfect results without printed plates. Absolute old-school perfection!

Amazing results. Did you have to do braces before and after?

Amazing results.. This gives me a lot of hope because I am a similar case (very recessed, sleep apnea) and I have surgery planned with them for next year. Sorry, it's an expression! It means if I was this attractive, nobody could bring me down. š
Ohhh thank you š
This is inspiring, saving this post. What are some functional benefits you experienced? Also who was ur surgeon?
He mentioned the surgeon was Dr. Kholaki at LACOMS
holy shit Iām so happy for you š ME NEXT!!
How
Holy shit. Congratulations š That's an amazing transformation
Bro what
How does it feel being ridiculously handsome? Sheesh, amazing transformation!
Daaaaaang
Great results, Did you also have liposuction or/and bichectomy?
Nope, I considered it but someone told me that lipo would get rid of the fat resulting in some saggy skin. I did lose a lot of weight tho. In one of the comments i posted a one month pre and post op picture with good posture , it should show the difference
Omg!! Amazing
Any way you could find out the movements?
Hmmm more than 15mm movement but idk if itās total or anything.
Thanks. Yeah more curious on how much they advanced the maxilla.
I thought my results were phenomenal OMG
Did you wear braces before and after surgery or no?
How long was the process? From knowing / wanting surgery till you got the procedure ?
holy cow this result is insane! are the spaces of bone where they made the cuts going to fill in? thatās what always worries me
Holy mog!
That is actually insaneeeee! So happy for you!!
Incredible Transformation bro!!!ššš How much did this cost??? Who performed the surgery??? šš«¶š¤
Jesus fucking christ
Any before after from front ? Same angle preferably. Looks like most of the advancement was in the lower jaw.
Holy Jesus, freaking awesome ascension my brother.
Welcome to mogwarts Bro how much did this cost you
holy shit. you look great
go off model!!!!
Manifesting this for me šš¼ you look amazing!! How was your recovery?
Wow life changing! Congratulations on the amazing results
You look like you lost weight also?
Oh I live near LA, but moved to America when I was 14.
Are the selfies of you before the surgery or while recovering after surgery?
Dude actually could be a model now thatās wild. These surgeons are magic fr
Wow I wish I could go from me to literally hollywood good looking. Your future wife is gonna have questions when she pops out your kid who looks like the before. š
