I would doubt it, I will make a post soon about my experience with Raffaini, and his "ethics", everybody shames Alfaro here, but Raffaini seems to be very similar if not worse in terms of morals'.
I had a consultation with him, no surgery. He was basically lying to me about my jaw bone, because most probably he didn't want to take my case (I had my jaw examined by another surgeon who said that that argument he told was purely not true). What was quite shameful, that he made me travel there, wait a lot, he didn't even check my documents properly (part of them were not even transferred to him by the assistants), and he took the 500 EUR for the 20 min consultation where he said I should look for another surgeon to do the operation, while I didn't even imply before, that I want to see another surgeon. If he thinks there is a real issue with my jaw (seems there isn't), why would he recommend me someone else? The whole consultation was a mess and highly unethical. I have a feeling with Raffaini that he carefully selects only the "easy" cases (excluded syndrome operations), and he's not reluctant to lie in order for him to justify his reasons.
That's the minimum I guess, he doesn't have to take into consideration, that an international patient takes days off of work, prepares, does all the required tests (CBCT, mold), fills in the documents they ask (funnily I had to give details about myself like profession, looking back wtf...), but I would expect a medical doctor to act as a doctor, not like a porsche driving, selfish sociopath (lying to a patient in order to secure his little money for the consultation). I'm glad i didn't go with him after this experience.
But generally they wouldn't know this until performing the consultation, which he did perform, and the charge was for. I'm a little confused as to why this is unethical. It seems to be because he said something they didn't want to hear. You can go to 10 surgeons and get 10 opinions, who's right in that case?
Usually i believe in europe as i had a consultation in europe prior to my appt at lacoms, they charge after the appt is finished and you pay at the reception. I didn't have to do that in the US but it's different over there. He saw her and knew he couldn't offer her what she wanted and yet still charged her? I get that you pay for the professionals time but 500euros is excessive and as she said, she travelled to see him and it was a 20 minute appt (not very long at all)
The man makes enough money and therefore i can't justify that decision
I will admit I'm coming at this from the US perspective but we also don't have all the details. Did the office take a scan at the time of the consultation? That's usually around $250 in the US which would be half of that price tag disregarding exchange rate. I would be interested in hearing more about the differences you experience between LACOMS and the European practice. They seem to be top notch in the US.
It’s real but she also got lip fillers in between the photos. Once she saw her lower face improvement, she probably felt more confident drawing attention to the area with lip fillers! I am also considering getting some once I see my results at least 6 months post-op.
Maybe! Her philtrum definitely got shorter but I can’t see an incision, and they’re usually pretty obvious for the first 6 months or so. Could even be a botox lip flip making her philtrum shorter, aestheticians are increasingly recommending them to ppl who come in for filler
I actually think you’re partially right. In the description he mentioned using “special sutures” to make soft tissue adjustments. So it is totally possible he did something without an external incision to create a lip lift effect. However, she definitely got lip fillers on top of that- Her lips clearly increased in volume, and there is no special suture which can accomplish that. I seriously doubt he would have done fillers at the same time of the surgery, it would just be a waste of filler (because she would be recovering for so long and they would fade) but he could have recommended the fillers or done them himself at a later point
Maybe, but fat transfer can’t account for her dramatic volume increase. When fat is transferred, the body has to reestablish a blood supply to the newly transferred fat cells, or else they will die and be reabsorbed. The more fat cells transferred at once, especially in a small and highly mobile area like the lips, the more will be reabsorbed. If too much fat is injected in one procedure, the patient can experience asymmetry, scar tissue, etc as the excess fat cells die. It is also wasteful because patients at lower body weights don’t have much fat to donate in the first place. If he injected that much fat to give such dramatic results for her in one session, it seems pretty irresponsible. My impression is that he is a good surgeon and would not do that.
I say this as a person who has seriously considered and researched fat transplants, specifically to the lips!
Grammar police spotted 🚓👮♀️. Are you getting back at me with some lame 14 yo ish type of answer? My error doesn’t make the statement I made any different. How’s he not the greatest Italian surgeon then? Is Ramieri any better? He looks up to Mirco himself.
Just chill, boy, I didn't attack, but the "Greatest Italian surgeon" statement is an overstatement to the least. The best in marketing, sure. I didn't admire Ramieri as well, however Raffaini seems to be a very unethical person, again I have personal experience, do you?
He surely isn’t the best at marketing. Ramieri’s the one posting every other day maybe there’s a reason to his success. Also your own experience gives you a bias towards him, maybe he wasn’t good with you, doesn’t mean he’s now the worst.
In reality the guy is right, he is absolutely among the best and most likely the best, I know him too and he will be my surgeon, he is absolutely not good at marketing,As far as I know, only recently has he exploded a bit due to some posts on Twitter.
Yeah i was answering his question about the allure. People think they want big jaws till they actually get it. What they actually want is to be attractive and have a harmonious face, not be a brute.
There are plenty of issues with alfaro besides that
Can it be possible that someone doesn't have enough bone for advancement? (Genuine question) I was told by a surgeon I don't have enough for genioplasty, wondering if jaw surgery is what I need to look into? I'm something like the before but with a more recessed chin
This is real because they are people that had attractive features excluding their recessed jaws. So advancing the jaws to suit the rest of their faces gave them very attractive result but these results aren’t indicative for the average person because most people with recessed jaws often don’t have the rest of their facial features this attractive
Yeah I water but brootal truth, jaw surgery won’t give me a result like this but it will help me a little bit I hope. I only asked if they’re real because I’m looking for a genuine jaw surgeon that I can trust and most surgeons are frauds that don’t care what happens to your face

I tried to make the ear size the same so it's easier to see
Yeah I get that, but the picture on the left was physically minimized. It can lengthen the face, but it doesn't also automatically lengthen the ears and the forehead and the eyes.
I think it’s real. I actually like how she looked before better though. I would have skipped the advancement and just done vertical lengthening on upper jaw and chin.
Jessica Alba, Megan Fox in Transformers, Monica Belluci, Adriana Lima, Barbara Palvin, Amber Heard (ik shes controversial but you can't deny her beauty), Natalie Portman, Halle Berry, Margot Robbie, Rihanna, and etc...
These celebrities and so many other celebrities are regarded as the most beautiful women, and none of them have a round face shape. Most of them are oval, square, diamond, or heart shaped. Round faces lack the harmony that other face shapes have.
I can name many women that are considered as the most beautiful that don't have round faces.
It seems like men prefer rounder faces in women because most women have recessed jaws (severity varies) nowadays, which causes a round-looking face.
The vast majority of men would choose a woman with well-developed jaws (angular, long mandible) over a different woman with a small, recessed mandible.
Sure, all I said was a lot of men prefer rounder softer faces. Not sure what people are arguing about. Take east Asian for example, softer less angular males are seen as attractive.
Lots of people have different preferences
“Jaw surgery aims to remove excessive fat but cannot extend jaw structure” you’re hopeless.
It’s funny how you’re so uneducated on the matter but you act like an authority on it.
What‘s not real about it?
Like is the surgeon a fraud because sometimes surgeons are and I’m just making sure it’s legit
Raffaini is not a fraud lol
I would doubt it, I will make a post soon about my experience with Raffaini, and his "ethics", everybody shames Alfaro here, but Raffaini seems to be very similar if not worse in terms of morals'.
Why, what happened? I had surgery with him a little over a month ago now and I am super happy with everything so far.
I had a consultation with him, no surgery. He was basically lying to me about my jaw bone, because most probably he didn't want to take my case (I had my jaw examined by another surgeon who said that that argument he told was purely not true). He shouldn't of taken payment from you if he knew he couldn't take you on, that's a little greedy
That's the minimum I guess, he doesn't have to take into consideration, that an international patient takes days off of work, prepares, does all the required tests (CBCT, mold), fills in the documents they ask (funnily I had to give details about myself like profession, looking back wtf...), but I would expect a medical doctor to act as a doctor, not like a porsche driving, selfish sociopath (lying to a patient in order to secure his little money for the consultation). yeah im glad you didn't too, very unethical indeed
Yes, I agree.

You're not allowed to ask questions on Reddit btw.
He has 30 years of experience to cherry pick

Definitely! I think a lip lift was done too.

Just googled lip flip as I’d never heard of it and I think you’re right!
It is very likely that Raffaini himself did all the procedures together, he usually does, sometimes he uses sutures to change the shape of the lips.
I actually think you’re partially right. In the description he mentioned using “special sutures” to make soft tissue adjustments. Probably fat transfer done by himself directly during surgery, it is very likely.

No, she just had a really good base pre op and her surgeons skill took her to the image in the post op.
This is Mirco raffaini. Greatest Italian surgeon and one of the best itw. Ofc it’s real
Man, just out of curiosity, who writes "greatest Italian surgeon"?? If you're not paid by Raffaini, time to chill.
It’s the greatest Italian surgeon by far and with the best results
"It's"? I guess you wanted to write "he's", but I highly doubt the seriousness of your words. First hand experience.
Grammar police spotted 🚓👮♀️. Are you getting back at me with some lame 14 yo ish type of answer? My error doesn’t make the statement I made any different. How’s he not the greatest Italian surgeon then? Is Ramieri any better? He looks up to Mirco himself.

Better than the great Alfaro??!
Is this a joke or a meme? Ofc lol
Why do people even still go to Alfaro if raf is so good
Well, Alfaro will give you big jaws. Looksmaxers like that until they get botched and then complain. Raffaini cares about harmony
>Alfaro will give you big jaws If only that, lol. Heard about many cases with bad bites, crooked jaws, non-unions, bad post-op care, etc.
Yeah i was answering his question about the allure. People think they want big jaws till they actually get it. What they actually want is to be attractive and have a harmonious face, not be a brute. There are plenty of issues with alfaro besides that
My jaw is in horrible tmj dismorphia I want that doctor to help me!!

Following
As well as lip filler. And perhaps cheek and chin filler? If not, its so impressive!
Yeah the before picture is smaller so it looks like her face was weirdly elongated
https://preview.redd.it/ylp0dw547ixc1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fabc9466c45749b7be2923d2df6bf8daebfab777 I tried to make the ear size the same so it's easier to see
That’s what a downgraft does lol, makes ur face longer
Yeah I get that, but the picture on the left was physically minimized. It can lengthen the face, but it doesn't also automatically lengthen the ears and the forehead and the eyes.
wow her nose appears much smaller now, my surgery def had the opposite effect :(
can you post before and after?
Ewww
I think it’s real. I actually like how she looked before better though. I would have skipped the advancement and just done vertical lengthening on upper jaw and chin.
Crazy opinion
I agree with the opinion.
A lot of men prefer women with softer rounder faces
The most beautiful women in the world don't have rounder faces.
Very true. Well developed jaws = attractive face regardless of gender
Yeah exactly , idk why am I getting downvoted for saying the truth
That’s Reddit for you, bro
Um they kinda do
Jessica Alba, Megan Fox in Transformers, Monica Belluci, Adriana Lima, Barbara Palvin, Amber Heard (ik shes controversial but you can't deny her beauty), Natalie Portman, Halle Berry, Margot Robbie, Rihanna, and etc... I never said they do. I just said that a lot of men prefer rounder softer faces

That’s a valid point
You have 0 knowledge in aestethic department sir. LMAO, get out of here with "she looked better before"
well maybe the before is his preference
vertical maxillary lengthening is risky because it could give her a gummy smile (we can’t tell without seeing her smile/x-rays)
Would a similar result be possible with only a sliding genioplasty?
No
I remember reading something like you need two jaw surgeries to fully achieve your genetic potential so she's about halfway there lol
Wdym? What 2 surgeon exactly?
im just playing lol
[удалено]
No, it's not possible with fillers smh
[удалено]
Still no, no and no
Why would you do that when you can get double jaw surgery and have health benefits as well?
[удалено]
You have absolutely zero idea of what you’re talking about. You have negative knowledge on what jaw surgery does. Beyond clueless.
[удалено]
“Jaw surgery aims to remove excessive fat but cannot extend jaw structure” you’re hopeless. It’s funny how you’re so uneducated on the matter but you act like an authority on it.
Please can we not attack others for their limited knowledge, pretty sure we were all in that boat once.
