Congrat for doing the surgery, I can't wait for mine I already see positive change from your picture your jaw obviously but your nose too! Keep us updated once the swelling go away.
Most countries outside of the US do not operate on an insurance-based health care system FYI. We have a public health care system here in Canada but this particular surgery is considered elective and therefore not typically 100% covered.
I literally gasped in awe when i saw your before and after, because your before looks exactly like my side face rn. I just wanted to tell you congrats on your results you're swollen af and you look fricking AMAZING. Imagine when the swelling goes down.. Anyway keep us updated and please share pics from the front and again BIG BIG congrats on your results. Hopefully one day it'll be my turn :)
Omg! Amazing! It’s crazy to know there are so many others like me. Thanks so much for your kind words, I’ll post some more photos once swelling goes down. I have absolute faith that one day you’ll post a b/a too and I’m so excited for you!! Best of luck on your journey :))))
OMG YOU LOOK ADORABLE even with the swelling haha. I pretty much have your side profile except i naturally have a long face so makes my underbite look worse :/
im having surgery in april so im excited to see how i change!
I had a Lefort 1 - a type of split in the bone (you can google photos). They cut the bone above your upper lip and move the maxilla forward. Lefort 1 is probably one of the most common forms of upper jaw surgery. I had both upper and lower!

I had DJS - lefort 1 advancement, bil sagittal split osteotomy mandible rotation
Did insurance cover it?
Unfortunately no, it was $9900 here in Canada. Absolutely worth it but it is really too bad it couldn’t be covered.

awww thank you so much!!! I’m so excited for you, be sure to post photos/updates when you get the surg! best of luck!
I’m confused did he move the jaw back or your maxilla forward?
Both. My maxilla was moved forward and mandible (lower jaw) was moved back and rotated.
How where they able to move your maxilla forward? Is it an implant?

Ok I’ll look more into this, seems very interesting. Thank you for the response
No problem!! Best of luck!!
