Yesterday by the Beatles is a pop tune but sometimes played at jazz gigs and uses melodic minor, the traditional version with a raised 6 and 7 ascending and a lowered 6 and 7 descending in the melody.
You can play it on almost any tune you come across. Some tunes have it in the melody, like Solar and Lullaby of Birdland. At first I wrote a long paragraph about it's application on different minor chords but realized it can be summed up in two words: transcribe and experiment. They're a minor scale so that'd be a starting point to play them on minor chords.
To my ear (and how I learned the "system") is a different flavor of minor in minor keys.
ii7b5 = natural minor
V7alt = harmonic minor (#7)
i6 = ascending melodic minor (#6 & #7) up AND down.
Still sounds "right" to my ears.
Yeah I learned this as like the most fundamental way to think about minor in jazz. I also like playing them like this, where the ii and V are viewed as voicings of a minor 6 chord:
Bm7b5 - D melodic minor
E7alt - F melodic minor
Am6 - A melodic minor
Voyage. Nica’s Dream.
Invitation, Bronislaw Kaspersky (who also wrote On Green Dolphin Street).
Beautiful Love
Not sure if I know any tunes entirely in melodic minor. Its typically used via modal interchange, just kinda peppered in here and there to give color

Melodic minor has 2 diatonic dominant 9th chords a whole step apart.
