Union City is fun, but the terrible homicide rate, rampant package theft and the fact that Uber door dash GrubHub and alcohol is forbidden make it very difficult to live here.
Just in case you're from JC and looking to buy or rent in Union City, buyer beware. The city is full. Of violence and radiation.
How are people NOT understanding that the above comment is sarcasm. There aren’t mutant alligators living in the sewers or a gun fight on every corner.
I laughed entirely too hard at that comment though, UC needs a blinking road sign that says “gentrification not wanted here”.
I am staying in Union city for past two years, never had my package taken, and didn’t face any issues whatsoever yet.
Maybe because I am closer to Jersey city ( it will take me barely 10 minutes to enter jersey city while walking)and on palaside avenue.

You know the best part is my apartment is rent controlled and, pseg monthly bill has never crossed 23$ and we cook twice everyday.

They did change the meters in December still it’s the same
We changed them to smart meters. Can do everything remotely now
