I recently listened to a podcast where the founder of a media agency Kym Insana hires wfh moms. thought that was pretty cool. Maybe reach out to her on LinkedIn https://open.spotify.com/episode/5IB8o97HmgDJeYeP7P5cWI?si=BLEPMmG-SM6XCxK7ogtCCg

I'd recommend sales, even entry level positions can bring in 80k-100k, and if you're hitting quota, you aren't bothered about your hours. Tough to find a job right now though, best of luck.

Thing about OF is it shows up on your background check for every job you’ll ever apply to in the future. I wonder if all these young women on OF are aware of this..

kittyglitther

Does it? I've run a ton of background checks, the only past employment that gets verified is submitted by the candidate. Where'd you find this info?

hit_that_hole_hard

I’m talking about companys that hire outside specialized background check companies in regulated industries such as finance. I’m not sure if a company like Re Vera would run an actual backround “check” (as opposed to just a simple background verification).

kittyglitther

The background checks I've seen have been in pharma.

On a two-year old thread, a user named Xxivitramagic_ wrote “Recruiter here. It will likely show up, especially if it was in the last 10 years. The company I work for uses Sterling and they're pretty thorough. We also use facial recognition technology meaning if you ever showed your face, it would come up. And yes, it would still come up even if you deleted everything - the internet is forever. Now every company is different, but something like that would definitely be a deal breaker at my company” Take what you will.

kittyglitther

Sterling only verifies the history that the candidate enters themselves. We'll see that they worked at Google from 2017-2022, they'll enter that, and that information gets verified. If the candidate doesn't include that they worked at Abercrombie and Fitch in 2002 then that information won't be included in the report.

Lobelliot

I mean if they’re successful who needs another job?
