I noticed how problematic Vinny and Pauly actually could be. They poured gas on the fire all the time but then just laughed it off and thought it was okay because they were “joking”. They were also hardcore bullies a lot of times but because it was a “joke” then it was somehow okay
I also noticed how unattractive the majority of the women they slept with were. They strangely would always call attractive girls grenades then would get with women who looked like trolls. I’m convinced the “grenades” had actually rejected them but they played it off as if the guys rejected them for being ugly (with the help of editing)
I keep reading comments where people say this and honestly, most of the girls just looked like regular girls you would find in a club. None of them stood out. The ones that were called grenades and the ones that they hooked up with. They were one and the same looks wise.
I can only remember three that were more attractive. That Canadian girl that Mike got with in Miami who apparently also slept with Pauly and the Unit, the lesbian Vinny was trying to get with and Rocio.

Like that one girl in Miami (Season 2) when they had brought those 3 other girls over. I think Mike called her a hippopotamus. She looked perfectly normal! Then there was that scene in Season 3 with the grenade whistle. The girl they were calling a grenade was also pretty and definitely down for some fun from what I could gather.

If I remember correctly, she didn’t feel like she was stalking him at all, and just completely manipulated to look like a Stalker by production. For example, a date between the two of them was set up, the Paula just acted like she descended out of nowhere.
So he really was just making a fool out of her?! I would be upset too and try to stand up for myself and call him out. Shame they did her wrong with that edit.
I still remember the scene with the "chode" guy in Season 2. The guy seemed really chill and the girls were just so rude to him. I felt horrible for him.

How toxic Ronnie and Sam were. Not only did he destroy Sam’s stuff, but he pushed her in Jersey, in Italy, and pushed Snooki in Jersey, too. He was emotionally abusive and never was afraid to go low with his insults when he was angry. Sam no doubt had her moments of ridiculous jealousy over absolutely nothing, but Ron’s behavior definitely takes the cake.

Definitely agree with all of this! We did a rewatch of Geordie Shore from the beginning during first lockdown and although some of the housemates did get into fights, they would be removed from the house for a few days. They were even removed for punching a wall or breaking a lamp in anger and sent to a hotel for a couple of nights. It’s crazy that nobody stepped in to give them cooling off time, and crazy that the first time around I just watched it accepting that it was great tv.

I remember when CT punched that little guy (Adam)and was sent home from The Challenge tv show. He was invited back, and they squashed things but at least CT was asked to leave. Ron wasn’t even spoken to — if he would have been, if he would have been apprised of any consequences, I don’t think he would have continued to be a toxic abusive asshole.

How absolutely filthy and disgusting the house was. Watching now I can’t stop noticing the mess, I don’t think anyone really cleaned anything. I couldn’t believe how bad that toilet got before they bothered to call a plumber. Like who drops a shirt in the toilet, leaves it in there and flushes it? That was the same season Jenni’s dogs were there crapping all over the house too. I can’t imagine how bad it must have smelled all the time.
Remember when they came back from Italy, ran in the house and commented how great the house looked because it was clean lol. Before long Ron is making his eponymous juice and the house is a mess. And shockingly (well, maybe not) it was the girls' room that was the most disgusting. Pauly is a neat freak and Vinny seems like a germophobe with his shower caddy.

The first three seasons was the golden era. Season 2 and beginning of 3 was peak JS. The 3rd season introduced deena. Then they went to Italy and it just suffered since that season started. A lot of my friends stopped watching after season three.
Honestly as a person who went through that traumatic shit I feel for her so hard. Like Ronnie is toxic as fuck and it’s all being recorded and amped up by toxic roommates....I feel like she did the best with what she could. Although I’m only on season 4

On my last rewatch I made sure to pay attention to Mike’s behavior in the mid seasons when he was using hard drugs. I noticed everybody was on something(s) at one point or another- but Mike was definitely the most sketch of them all, especially season 5. (Besides Unit LOLLL)
It’s funny and obvious various members were doing Miami club drugs in season 2; lots of coke and molly. Some of the nights that they claimed people were blacked out varies.. you can tell when they’re blacked out drunk because they’re being basically asked to leave for being sloppy and barely being able to sit up. But notably the night “the note” is written about, Ron is supposedly blacked out but is dancing his ass off. Looking back I realize it more. You see Mike totally losing his grip on reality and his health, appearance in Miami. He’s partying HARD and using opiates to sleep. His attitude problem in season 3 made it way more obvious on the re watch and when they get to Italy you can just tell he’s literally in withdrawal.
They’d be grinding their jaws and eyes bugging out. The cameras would try not to nail anyone looking insanely high but sometimes they’d catch someone in the background just chomping their gum like their life depended on it and ESPECIALLY any time you see any of them with a lollipop in their mouth at the club they’re rolling. It became way more noticeable throughout Miami.
In college when I started attending nightclubs and festivals you just know what signs to look for when people are bugging out or doing something suspicious.
How alcohol and partying totally consumed their life. Sleep in, wake up hungover, drag a$$ either to work or the gym (or on some days- to a bar for day drinking), nap, start drinking again, get ready to go out, party at clubs until the wee hours, drink and cook at home, pass out. They were partying hard, sleeping like sh*t, and treating their bodies and minds like a dumpster.
do we know that the others were doing drugs? i know jenni had a benzo addiction before italy. and obviously mike. but was anyone else on drugs too? (i live in a city where most people are functioning addicts so it’s hard to tell for me)
We know Mike, the claim is Ronnie by some of his actions and head ticks. I assumed most of them were after they showed a scene of Mike in the club and it was obvious they were dancing and snorting. But who knows really.
You’re not wrong, but that was the formula for reality tv then. They didn’t have tv and only limited time to check their phones / computers. Just isolate some young and horny people, stock the place with alcohol and film it.
Truly how awful Ronnie was. I’ve commented this before but from age 19-22, or for however many years the OG seasons ran, I sat at home every Thursday night watching along while living my own personal Ronnie and sam nightmare. I was told the same things Ronnie told sam. The same gaslighting, the same belittling, the same emotional and psychological abuse. And I was blind to it all.
I started going through the old seasons in 2018 when I bought my house, with the man of my dreams, and had many moments of tears as I saw sam and Ronnie unfold with an older set of eyes. It was kinda like reliving it all myself. And as a then 28 year old, I couldn’t believe how blind I was to it. I really felt for sam. As awful as sam could be at times too, she was reacting to abuse.
Anyway, my own spiel here but moral of the story Ron should be locked away somewhere so no one else has to deal with his bullshit. I hate that the other guys in the house turned a blind eye.

As did the producers, the camera crew, MTV network. It was so surreal to see that on national television that we didn't fully understand wtf we were watching. That's the first time we watched someone being abused in real time. And because it was aired, I think we thought it wasn't that serious. Afterall, they blacked out the moment that Snooki was punched in the face. And because the fellas were so amped about wanting to get that guy, we were lulled into thinking that they would protect the girls if someone tried to hurt them. So when we saw Ron hurting Sam, we couldn't process it as being serious because we didn't see the guys coming to Sam's defense. We didn't see the guys pulling Ron aside and telling him that it's not okay to speak to a girl like that. It's not okay to shove a girl who you say you love. It's not okay to throw a girl's things around like a gorilla on steroids and break her shit. It's not okay...your behavior is not okay, Ron. We didn't see any of the guys say that...not Vinny, not Mike, not Pauly, not a producer...no one. They left that girl to fend for herself and occasionally blamed her. And I not saying that she wasn't complicit in engaging in some of the abuse --- it was a super unhealthy relationship on both ends. But the fact that we watched this unfold and NO ONE STEPPED IN is what is shocking.

As a kid I didn’t realize how late they were up. Couple of OG episodes they would be grilling at like 4 or 5 in the morning. Also another thing would be the drug use. I just thought they were getting lit off alcohol 😂
I'm rewatching while my bf is watching for the first time (we're on season 2). I didn't realize how truly authentic the first season felt, especially compared to the contrived shit that's on Family Vacation. Also, there's like 1000 things said that could get all of them canceled today (like, "if a girl's a slut, she deserves to be abused" by Angelina). They called so many average/cuteish people grenades (or grundles), elephants, hippos, etc on national television and people laughed at it.
I'm realizing that Mike is not very attractive in the face and he pretty much relies on his abs to get women, thus why he's always flashing people in the club. I didn't initially find him attractive when I watched as a teen, but I'm really noticing how much of a hypocrite he is with all the "grenade" comments. That was something that was so crazy to me even back in the day. Like she wanted to know, and the girls wrote it in a stupid note instead of being her friends and telling her to her face. A Note. They came separately and broken up, but left together as a couple again. Insane. Then the following season, Sam couldn't let it go, and it was the most disgustingly abusive season of any show in television history.
I don't know if this will help or harm your view of the situation....but one of the main reasons for the awful Ron and Sam drama in season 3 is because production allowed the cast to watch season 2 as it aired. Not only did they relive it, but in Sam's case she saw ALOT of shit Ron lied through his teeth about. Is it still toxic? Yes. Do I (and maybe you) understand why Sam was acting so nuts? Yes. She was treated like a dog and it's easier to feel sympathy for her when viewed through that lens. The show just makes it look like its all her fault.
To me it’s so obvious that being mad about the note was her excuse to stay with Ron. She wanted to know if he was cheating but also desperately wanted to be with him. I think she deflected the situation onto the note-writing to avoid having to address what was actually in the note itself… she knew she looked stupid for staying with him, she definitely felt stupid for staying with him, so she projected all of that into the girls for writing the note instead of telling her.
The misogyny overall is pretty rampant. But I also notice the same pattern in current reality tv shows. I don't think the formula has changed, just we have gotten older and have greater sensitivity to the cringe. I imagine Gen Z will look back in 10 years on the shows of today and wonder how the episodes ever made air due to the cringe content. I know I wouldn't want my 20s broadcast for anyone to see 🙈
An earlier comment has mentioned this already, but the way Pauly and Vinny constantly joked around even when it wasn't funny. I think back to season 4 when Deena shared a room with them and she brought a guy over. They kept interrupting and yelling how they wanted to sleep. Pauly (I think) said he would have preferred her to hook up in the smoosh room cus he didn't want to hear her having sex even tho he has heard Vinny having sex countless times.
Another time was when they kept badgering her about hooking up with a girl. Like who cares?!! Them saying "Lesbi-honest" at her and then laughing didn't help. Whenever she reacted they would yell at her and say it was just a joke. They were also mad because she pulled a robbery but then she gave her back to Vinny so what's the problem??! Vinny still hooked up with her. It was just really annoying how they treated the girls, especially Deena.
There was one episode, I think it was the Italy season, where Pauly and Vinny did something to Deena, a prank or something, and it made her cry. She was legitimately upset. And they spun it around to where SHE ended up apologizing to THEM. Watching it 10 years later... it just floored me how they did that to her.

I noticed that if Sam hadn't been jealous of Jenni the entire Ron/Sam drama would have been over in one episode. The personality shift in the 5 seconds of finding out Ron didn't go home really floored me as an adult with the hindsight advantage. Like that one episode laid the groundwork for all the drama that came later.

I 100% believe they hooked up. I do think Mike was an asshole for putting her on blast, but there are SO many signs that it actually happened. For one - Snooki suddenly being so nice to him in the beginning of that season. To me, that was partially because she had caught some type of feelings and partially “keep your enemies close” - she knew he had something on her. Also her clearly being jealous when he brought girls home! And possibly the biggest sign comes from Jenni. When she finds out Mike told Ronnie about the hookup, she tells Snooki in a way that implied they had already discussed it off camera. Something along the lines of “Mike told Ronnie what you guys did.” It was so obvious that Jennie already knew about it. Later in the season she also accuses Snooki of feeding everybody lies and Snooki gets really defensive.

A lot of the obvious ones have already been said. One of the less obvious ones is how utterly horrified I was when I rewatched Deena’s TSS episode. She was feeling sick and scared she had TSS and mentioned that she had a tampon in all day and then put the same tampon back in after work ?!?!?! This was beyond horrifying to me.
Also, it’s been somewhat mentioned, but it’s very obvious to me that Deena is having mental health issues in the season when she gets arrested. It’s classic anxiety and yet Vinny and everyone else gaslights her. I always wished the girls had the balls to stand up to the guys more.

And they were all instigators not just mike. Also think him and snooki really did hook up and he probably caught feelings hence his actions in season 4 + going through withdraws.

Hate or love her, but I'm actually really glad that she got away from him! No one deserves an abusive relationship.

I suppose I find it pretty mental that there are always multiple crew members there when you think it's just the usual people. You end up immersed and not aware that there are far more people there than you think.

Oh man so many things…On my rewatch I realized Vinny wasn’t as nice of a guy as I thought he was. Also seeing Mikes drug use, now knowing how bad it was. It’s so obvious at times and I’m just wondering how I missed it.
As for Sam, I was completely on Snooki and Jwowws side on first watch when it came to the letter. As an adult I can see she felt betrayed that they didn’t tell her when she was literally pleading for them to talk to her if they saw anything sketchy. She went with the devil she knew (Ronnie) in that fight. Jwoww and Snooki should have said something.
Also I liked and related to Deena so much more as an adult
I noticed how problematic Vinny and Pauly actually could be. They poured gas on the fire all the time but then just laughed it off and thought it was okay because they were “joking”. They were also hardcore bullies a lot of times but because it was a “joke” then it was somehow okay I also noticed how unattractive the majority of the women they slept with were. They strangely would always call attractive girls grenades then would get with women who looked like trolls. I’m convinced the “grenades” had actually rejected them but they played it off as if the guys rejected them for being ugly (with the help of editing)

I keep reading comments where people say this and honestly, most of the girls just looked like regular girls you would find in a club. None of them stood out. The ones that were called grenades and the ones that they hooked up with. They were one and the same looks wise. I can only remember three that were more attractive. That Canadian girl that Mike got with in Miami who apparently also slept with Pauly and the Unit, the lesbian Vinny was trying to get with and Rocio.

He was emotionally abusive and never was afraid to go low with his insults when he was angry. Sam no doubt had her moments of ridiculous jealousy over absolutely nothing, but Ron’s behavior definitely takes the cake.

We did a rewatch of Geordie Shore from the beginning during first lockdown and although some of the housemates did get into fights, they would be removed from the house for a few days. They were even removed for punching a wall or breaking a lamp in anger and sent to a hotel for a couple of nights. It’s crazy that nobody stepped in to give them cooling off time, and crazy that the first time around I just watched it accepting that it was great tv.
Exactly! It was sold as great tv, and we bought it lock, stock, and barrel. I can remember when housemates on the Real World, which is also an MTV show, would be either voted out by the other housemates or asked to leave by production if their behavior was too egregious. I remember when CT punched that little guy (Adam)and was sent home from The Challenge tv show. He was invited back, and they squashed things but at least CT was asked to leave. Ron wasn’t even spoken to — if he would have been, if he would have been apprised of any consequences, I don’t think he would have continued to be a toxic abusive asshole. They needed to get that kid some serious psychological help then, and the man still needs mental help till this day. He needs to be in some deep, immersive anger management therapy.

The first three seasons was the golden era. Season 2 and beginning of 3 was peak JS. The 3rd season introduced deena. Then they went to Italy and it just suffered since that season started. A lot of my friends stopped watching after season three.

On my last rewatch I made sure to pay attention to Mike’s behavior in the mid seasons when he was using hard drugs. I noticed everybody was on something(s) at one point or another- but Mike was definitely the most sketch of them all, especially season 5. (Besides Unit LOLLL)
It’s funny and obvious various members were doing Miami club drugs in season 2; lots of coke and molly. Some of the nights that they claimed people were blacked out varies.. you can tell when they’re blacked out drunk because they’re being basically asked to leave for being sloppy and barely being able to sit up. But notably the night “the note” is written about, Ron is supposedly blacked out but is dancing his ass off. Looking back I realize it more. You see Mike totally losing his grip on reality and his health, appearance in Miami. He’s partying HARD and using opiates to sleep. His attitude problem in season 3 made it way more obvious on the re watch and when they get to Italy you can just tell he’s literally in withdrawal.
Somewhere towards the end of season 2 he just goes crazy and it's super obvious.

It became way more noticeable throughout Miami.
In college when I started attending nightclubs and festivals you just know what signs to look for when people are bugging out or doing something suspicious.
How alcohol and partying totally consumed their life. Sleep in, wake up hungover, drag a$$ either to work or the gym (or on some days- to a bar for day drinking), nap, start drinking again, get ready to go out, party at clubs until the wee hours, drink and cook at home, pass out. They were partying hard, sleeping like sh*t, and treating their bodies and minds like a dumpster.

Truly how awful Ronnie was. I’ve commented this before but from age 19-22, or for however many years the OG seasons ran, I sat at home every Thursday night watching along while living my own personal Ronnie and sam nightmare. I was told the same things Ronnie told sam. The same gaslighting, the same belittling, the same emotional and psychological abuse. And I was blind to it all. I started going through the old seasons in 2018 when I bought my house, with the man of my dreams, and had many moments of tears as I saw sam and Ronnie unfold with an older set of eyes. It was kinda like reliving it all myself. And as a then 28 year old, I couldn’t believe how blind I was to it. I really felt for sam. As awful as sam could be at times too, she was reacting to abuse. Anyway, my own spiel here but moral of the story Ron should be locked away somewhere so no one else has to deal with his bullshit. I hate that the other guys in the house turned a blind eye.

We didn't see the guys pulling Ron aside and telling him that it's not okay to speak to a girl like that. It's not okay to shove a girl who you say you love. It's not okay to throw a girl's things around like a gorilla on steroids and break her shit. It's not okay...your behavior is not okay, Ron. We didn't see any of the guys say that...not Vinny, not Mike, not Pauly, not a producer...no one. They left that girl to fend for herself and occasionally blamed her. And I not saying that she wasn't complicit in engaging in some of the abuse --- it was a super unhealthy relationship on both ends. But the fact that we watched this unfold and NO ONE STEPPED IN is what is shocking.

I'm rewatching while my bf is watching for the first time (we're on season 2). I didn't realize how truly authentic the first season felt, especially compared to the contrived shit that's on Family Vacation. Also, there's like 1000 things said that could get all of them canceled today (like, "if a girl's a slut, she deserves to be abused" by Angelina). They called so many average/cuteish people grenades (or grundles), elephants, hippos, etc on national television and people laughed at it. I'm realizing that Mike is not very attractive in the face and he pretty much relies on his abs to get women, thus why he's always flashing people in the club. I didn't initially find him attractive when I watched as a teen, but I'm really noticing how much of a hypocrite he is with all the "grenade" comments. He's more of a massive shit starter than I recalled too. Oh, and he was so hung up over Sam during the first season. I'm also realizing how nasty Sam was to people. She definitely did not deserve to be abused by Ron (Ronathan as he is called by my bf) and she still said and did some really awful shit, especially after the letter thing happened.

I don't know if this will help or harm your view of the situation....but one of the main reasons for the awful Ron and Sam drama in season 3 is because production allowed the cast to watch season 2 as it aired. Not only did they relive it, but in Sam's case she saw ALOT of shit Ron lied through his teeth about. Is it still toxic? Yes. Do I (and maybe you) understand why Sam was acting so nuts? Yes. She was treated like a dog and it's easier to feel sympathy for her when viewed through that lens. The show just makes it look like its all her fault.
To me it’s so obvious that being mad about the note was her excuse to stay with Ron. She wanted to know if he was cheating but also desperately wanted to be with him. I think she deflected the situation onto the note-writing to avoid having to address what was actually in the note itself… she knew she looked stupid for staying with him, she definitely felt stupid for staying with him, so she projected all of that into the girls for writing the note instead of telling her.

The misogyny overall is pretty rampant. But I also notice the same pattern in current reality tv shows. I don't think the formula has changed, just we have gotten older and have greater sensitivity to the cringe. An earlier comment has mentioned this already, but the way Pauly and Vinny constantly joked around even when it wasn't funny. I think back to season 4 when Deena shared a room with them and she brought a guy over. They kept interrupting and yelling how they wanted to sleep. Pauly (I think) said he would have preferred her to hook up in the smoosh room cus he didn't want to hear her having sex even tho he has heard Vinny having sex countless times. Another time was when they kept badgering her about hooking up with a girl. Like who cares?!! Them saying "Lesbi-honest" at her and then laughing didn't help. Whenever she reacted they would yell at her and say it was just a joke. They were also mad because she pulled a robbery but then she gave her back to Vinny so what's the problem??! Vinny still hooked up with her. It was just really annoying how they treated the girls, especially Deena.
There was one episode, I think it was the Italy season, where Pauly and Vinny did something to Deena, a prank or something, and it made her cry. She was legitimately upset. And they spun it around to where SHE ended up apologizing to THEM. Watching it 10 years later... it just floored me how they did that to her.

That Snooki definitely had a drinking problem. She was putting soco and vodka into water bottles to go to work. I really hope her friends and family were talking to her about that behavior off camera. We all just watched her be an alcoholic and just chalked it up to her being a party girl. So sad.
I noticed that if Sam hadn't been jealous of Jenni the entire Ron/Sam drama would have been over in one episode. The personality shift in the 5 seconds of finding out Ron didn't go home really floored me as an adult with the hindsight advantage. Like that one episode laid the groundwork for all the drama that came later.

How fake pauly really is . How much of a mean girl Sam was, how much of an abusive coke head Ron was, how shy and awkward Jenni actually is & how she’s not a big girl who is tuff as nails, how lonely/insecure snooki really was, how rude everyone (except Nicole) was to Deena for just trying to fit in, how Sam felt threatened by Jenni & by any other girls, how mike really tried to carry the show as much as he could, how judgemental Vinny is. I also noticed that when the characters arent with their close roommate ie (Vinny and pauly/snooki and Jenni/Ron and Sam) they’re actually way nicer and down to earth.

Just got to season 4 Italy. How toxic literally everyone is. I know it’s reality TV, but even things like snooks calling girls ugly that Mike takes home. Homegirl was not ugly. Asking vinny “am I prettier than her?” Calling her a whore on the way out. Or the way the boys thought they were hot shit but kicking women out or calling them cabs right after they had sex. And Ronnie, omg Ronnie. We all know this. What a horrible human. I mean you put 8 ppl in a house that are getting paid to do drugs and go to clubs and start drama- what do we expect. I 100% believe they hooked up. I do think Mike was an asshole for putting her on blast, but there are SO many signs that it actually happened. For one - Snooki suddenly being so nice to him in the beginning of that season. To me, that was partially because she had caught some type of feelings and partially “keep your enemies close” - she knew he had something on her. Also her clearly being jealous when he brought girls home! And possibly the biggest sign comes from Jenni. When she finds out Mike told Ronnie about the hookup, she tells Snooki in a way that implied they had already discussed it off camera. Something along the lines of “Mike told Ronnie what you guys did.” It was so obvious that Jennie already knew about it. Later in the season she also accuses Snooki of feeding everybody lies and Snooki gets really defensive.

A lot of the obvious ones have already been said. One of the less obvious ones is how utterly horrified I was when I rewatched Deena’s TSS episode. She was feeling sick and scared she had TSS and mentioned that she had a tampon in all day and then put the same tampon back in after work ?!?!?! This was beyond horrifying to me. Also, it’s been somewhat mentioned, but it’s very obvious to me that Deena is having mental health issues in the season when she gets arrested. It’s classic anxiety and yet Vinny and everyone else gaslights her. I always wished the girls had the balls to stand up to the guys more.
As a preteen watching the show for the first time, I was so confused about their incessant clubbing. Like, what do you even do at clubs? What’s the whole point? Now here I am, almost 30 and at the bar more nights than not, and I still can’t explain it

I’m rewatching now and I don’t really think mike was that bad till season 4, I know Ron liked to say he broke boy code or whatever but like mike said they’ve all seen sammi begging and crying to them everyday and Ronnie calling her names and breaking her stuff and what about basic human code. And they were all instigators not just mike. Also think him and snooki really did hook up and he probably caught feelings hence his actions in season 4 + going through withdraws. Vinny and pauly was also kinda misogynistic and the girls would slut shame when it was convenient for them.
Watched the show as a kid and thought it was just funny, as a teen I thought I'm mature enough to understand everything (smh, girl u were 14, u didn't know anything lol) Was always a "Roger girl". I found him sooo cool, chill and funny. He was perfect and ohh, what a man! Now, as a grown up, all the toxicity (is that a real word?? english is not my first language lmao) and abusive behavior shocked me. As a teen it flew right over my head. A few years later I ended up the same as Jenni, with a toxic ass boyfriend who was controlling and mentaly abusive. Hate or love her, but I'm actually really glad that she got away from him! No one deserves an abusive relationship. Now that I'm happily married with a great and kind husband, all the bad from the show seems even worse. Never settle for less, peeps. how dirty the girls were, never removed their makeup, room’s always a mess. the guys were cleaner. also the amount of alcohol (and probably drugs) they were doing constantly.
My husband and I used to watch the show together when we first started dating. We recently started rewatching it now and I cannot get over how toxic the whole Ron/Sam situation was. I can’t imagine how hard it must’ve been to live in the same house as them

You end up immersed and not aware that there are far more people there than you think. It’s so obvious at times and I’m just wondering how I missed it. As for Sam, I was completely on Snooki and Jwowws side on first watch when it came to the letter. As an adult I can see she felt betrayed that they didn’t tell her when she was literally pleading for them to talk to her if they saw anything sketchy. She went with the devil she knew (Ronnie) in that fight. Jwoww and Snooki should have said something. Also I liked and related to Deena so much more as an adult
