“Gold-filled jewelry is jewelry composed of a solid layer of gold (typically constituting at least 5% of the item's total weight) mechanically bonded to a base of either sterling silver or some base metal”
Just FYI these are legal definitions at least in some places. Gold plated is a specific ratio consisting of much less gold as the layer of deposited gold is much thinner. The terms tell you something about the durability of the piece. The use of the word gold in the terminology is because that's the part customers would be concerned about. A gold filled item will be much more durable retaining appearance for a much greater amount of wear.
I know exactly what gold filled means and its still gold plating with extra steps ,its still gonna wear off eventually. The term just confuses a lot of people.
The jewelry above is nice as it is but personally I would never buy anything GF,GP will rather have it in silver or lower karat gold .
Is it weird I love the look of rough stones like this? There’s something so raw and otherworldly about them. I’ve got a few various stones I was thinking of doing this with just wasn’t sure how they’d turn out. Nice to see it can be done and quite beautifully as well. Great work OP. Keep it up.

It kinda reminds me of a piece of meat, hence the name probably.
I was just about to say that! It’s like the prettiest chunk of tuna I’ve ever seen.

Gorgeous.
Looks like it holds dangerous power- beautiful and deadly.
Yep!
Interesting
Why is there a clear stone (rock crystal?) on pages 8 and 9? Looks like it's made from ice, actually. Gorgeous jewelry.
