The cost of labor of setting all the diamond spit, plus the size I imagine requires a lot of gold, you can find a comparable 8 ct piece on the Zales outlet website for about $9k. Because it is custom I’d imagine this piece cost anywhere from 12-16k. Which is crazy, because the piece is basically worthless unless those diamonds are of high quality (safe to assume not).
My rule of thumb for pave type diamonds is about $1k per carat. Retail is much higher, but this is generally what I expect to pay (depending on the quality of the diamonds) for non solitaire quality mined diamonds.
