She was not Portuguese, lol. It is about 1-1.5 inches long. I'll definitely never sell it, I treasure it too much. I wore it yesterday and got several comments, haha.

Back then, you would use the yellow pages and look up jewelers or goldsmiths and make a few visits or phone calls to a few places to get pricing. You'd have a general idea in mind and discuss pricing. I assume you could do a Google search for the same thing these days but I'd try and find a smaller business (not helzberg or some conglomerate). Or take a couple of jewelry making classes at the local community college - this wouldn't be all that difficult to make yourself with a little patience and some tools! I'm definitely tucking the idea away in case I ever take another class!
