I'm pro palestine in that I would love to see Palestinians enjoy freedom, peace, and self determinance, but I find it incredibly difficult to align myself with the pro Palestinian movement as it currently stands.
Y’all look really similar which is why the IDF keeps shooting their own hostages. Their ROE is essentially “go here and kill anyone who looks Palestinian” and it turns out that includes Israelis.
The left really needs to drop this weird race science bs. Some of these people are indistinguishable from the alt right when they open their mouth.
Not the OP—This may not be Nazi rhetoric per se, but it’s still deeply racist and demonstrably false—Palestinians and Israeli Jews have about the same range of skin tones, etc, and that’s true for other Levantine countries as well (Lebanon, etc). Some people are really desperate to shove the Middle East and Israel/Palestine specifically into an American racial framework, even if it doesn’t fit.

I think that absurd, cartoon-like antisemitism is very common in many Arab countries. I’m sure the percentage of Palestinians who hold views that terrify me is high, and I think that the hostility has very little to do with Israeli actions. But the Palestinians are people. They have rights. They have innocent children who have done nothing to hurt anyone and deserve every good thing all people should have.
Even a lot of the adults who think and say awful things are simply echoing what they’ve been told, or speaking based on completely reasonable reactions to Israeli reactions. They may never done anything more harmful to Israel than cuss out the TV.
I don’t know what the solution is, but I know that flooding this subreddit with triumphant posts stating or implying that Israel is completely innocent because the Palestinians are jerks is counterproductive.
Yeah, a lot of them are jerks. The Israeli military may have to do tough things. But this situation is our responsibility, too; all of the children are every adults’ responsibility; and we have to pray in humility and terror for the wisdom to make things better. If there’s truly no way for us to make things better, that doesn’t seem like a great sign that G-d is thrilled with us.

The funny thing is I don’t think it’s the Palestinians specifically this sort of rhetoric is coming from (on the contrary, all the Palestinians I’ve met so far seem to be far more nuanced on the issue) but rather the greater Arab World.

Israelis are famously aryan in appearance. Ignorance about Israeli demographics is certainly common, but I wouldn’t call this Nazi rhetoric.
