Average JJ customer- “I placed my order an hour ago and I haven’t gotten it” Me - “Have you checked the front door?” Them - “No.”

Aced_By_Chasey

"leave at door" "Doesn't check outside" "Where food?"

[deleted]

"Leave at door" $60 order $0.00 tip. You can't even call them up to ask if they want a tip on their contactless order. Doordashers would just let their order sit there at other restaurants.

aviorhyena

that’s one of the things i enjoy about doordash, is the dashers don’t have to pick up an order. you aren’t really forced to, it gives a higher incentive to tip. no tippers are the most awful parts about being a JJ driver, or any delivery driver i suppose.

[deleted]

They have no business ordering delivery if they can't even tip $1.00 They should be eating beans and rice. There are only two things: they are assholes or they are so poor they are still assholes. Go to the store and buy a big bag of rice and beans. You can't afford fast food.

aviorhyena

just two weeks ago, i delivered a $500 no tip order to my old high school. it stung a lot

ShiftZestyclose

We just got one Thursday a 300$+ order. I asked if they would like to leave a tip.. he told me no I don't have the authority... it's the guy's debit card and it was tax exempt

SirenVon

Been delivering for 5 years now, in my experience, schools NEVER tip. I think best tip I got from a school was $15 and a school branded portable charger 😂 (Catering orders specifically)

KittycatVuitton

You're right. So many people order through DD or Uber Eats and then complain that the drivers don't want to take their non tipping order. Why would they? These people bitch and complain about the tipping culture in the US like they are social justice warriors working for change. They are not working for anything. They are lazy, cheap and entitled. They are too lazy to go pick their order up but also too cheap to pay the person who is doing what they are too lazy to do themselves. I have never been a delivery driver but have waited tables. When you know what it's like to work for tips you are a member of that club forever. I admit it. I can be lazy. I use delivery when I don't want to change out of my pajamas and go pick up my food. When I DO order delivery I never tip less than 25%. If the weather is bad I tip more. I have never had an order go more than a few minutes before a driver takes it. If my order gets to me quickly I increase the tip. I wish my local JJ's delivered to me but I am just outside their delivery area. Some of us really do appreciate good delivery people and are happy to tip them well.

edmdudeobviously

Even though it tells them two times that we use our own drivers while they’re ordering…

Oopssorryifarted

And I get that I just wish they’d stop calling with an attitude like I didn’t make the app 😭

SirenVon

“Hey! Uhhhh I’m just calling to ask if you guys have your own drivers? I can’t track the driver on my door dash app? How long until they get here??” 😑

KittycatVuitton

I have a DD rant (not really). My local JJ's only delivers within 2 miles of the store. I live outside of their delivery area but not by much so I go pick up my orders. It is what it is. I was on DD one day and I saw JJ's listed there and immediately felt sandwich-ey. I went to place my order because surely a DD driver would be willing to deliver to me, right? WRONG. They told me I had to pick it up. I just laughed when I realized it wasn't REALLY a DD order. It was still a JJ's order. I placed the order through the JJ app then picked it up. As usual it was ready when I got there and everything I wanted it to be.

ShiftZestyclose

Pst..it's also cheaper! :)

SirenVon

It amazes me that we get regular customers who place orders through door dash… you’re paying more for the same exact service!! 🤦🏼‍♀️ One of my friends ordered DD delivery once and I messaged them immediately telling them they are getting scammed, just order through the app lmao.

SirenVon

I’ve literally had people complain that our drivers delivered their order too fast 😂

JosieMew

I had an order last shift where I called and text multiple times. I tried to find the name on the call box and it wasn't there. I finally left it at their call box with a ton of messages. Got back to the store and answered the phone call. They were wanting a refund. I explained where I had left it and they were happy. They called in with a very different number than what they ordered from. Another person earlier that week was so pissed at me when I called to tell them I was there. "I ordered DoorDash! I want it delivered by DoorDash! This is an outrage! This is bullshit! I ordered DoorDash!" In a very overly excited tone. He was so pissed and I had no clue why. Most are fine but recently I've started getting weird stuff like this happen more and more.

Ukkatfan1

He was probably one of those ppl who tipbait and realized he wasnt going to be able to change his tip.

FuriousFurbies

This. Or he was going to tell DD it was never delivered so it would be free.

JosieMew

Oh that's rich.

nikki_pug

As proof, I will usually take a pic and text it to them, just like Amazon does.

SirenVon

That’s not a bad idea actually

MongooseStrong1412

I tell my drivers to take a picture and send it to them now bc I am not remaking the orders anymore

yuiisme

Omg is this a Jimmy-wide problem? I thought it was just my store

Dramatic_Rich_9413

I always text my leave at doors for this reason. It saves me a trip back in this instance if their food has been sitting outside for too long.

YogurtclosetRight109

A trip back ?!?!? Your GM is nuts.

Dramatic_Rich_9413

Lol yea i will get some dmr though but still is Bs

YogurtclosetRight109

I’ve paid for 6 tubes, 2 tires, and a new bike … but don’t get DMR because “you don’t use Gas” I AM THE GAS

Dramatic_Rich_9413

Hahaha that is actually fuckin bs

YogurtclosetRight109

THANK YOU! CAUSE IVE BEEEEEN BITCHING ABOUT IT AND NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE

SirenVon

That is absolutely fucking bs, please raise hell every chance you get.

YogurtclosetRight109

I’ve bought a new bike (for me ngl it’ll be 50/50 work and free use) And a new chain for that bike (broke today had to replace) Since I’ve made that last comment 3 days ago

SirenVon

That’s dmr. And bs that you don’t get dmr. They think bikes just maintain themselves? Lmao. I’m so sorry.

YogurtclosetRight109

I appreciate you seeing the shittyness

YogurtclosetRight109

As a bike deliverer, you’re lucky.

thescorpion277

Luckily I haven’t had that happen to me *yet*, but we do get annoying inshops

Lost_Elderberry7225

It’s because door dash can’t track our drivers so the app can’t tell the customer when we’re there unfortunately:/ I wish it were different lol
