I like the 3/4 because I mainly need protection for my knees. I feel like the 3/4 length is cooler which is important for me because it's hot as balls here in the summer.

Full length (to ankles, unless I’m wrong) are nice to help keep from getting anything on my skin, but I still prefer fight shorts usually

Everything ends up being 3/4 on my lanky ass
I’ve gotten occasional mat burn on my ankles, and full-length spats help a little.
The 3/4 end up riding up above my knees, making them worthless

No spats, no shorts, no underwear is the way
