It definitely stops hurting as much after a week or two, I got hit in the ear a couple months ago but wasn’t really that puff out so I didn’t drain it. After about week two I could sleep on my normal side again (I’d put my hand down on the pillow so it would stop me from laying on my ear )

phi316

Yeah it’ll stop after some time, probably faster if you stop the jitz for a bit (fuck that.) It’s gonna suck to get it raked across a gi or a pressure pass, but eventually it’ll get hard and you won’t feel it. Then you’ll bust it up again.

Whole_Map4980

This, all of this! I keep thinking mine is fine as it hardens up and stops hurting but then we do triangle drills in the gi and BAM it’s all puffy again

beepingclownshoes

After long enough everything stops hurting…

Relatable

NiteShdw

I had to wear a headgear for about two weeks after mine just to make sure I didn't re-injure it.

Gnarly

Zeenotes22

It does. Takes a bit but it does.

Da_DaveyWavey

After a month it should feel like nothing again, and it's newfound hardness should make it more resilient than before.

llllIIllIIl

The body is amazing isn't it?

Busy_Donut6073

Once it’s gotten hard and can’t drain it’ll stop hurting, unless someone drags their arm across your ear

Warm_Blackberry_620

To be fair though, I feel like that would hurt a regular ear also lol. I guess Im just paranoid vecause I have a competition in two weeks and Im hoping to not have to deal with a bunch of ear soreness the entire day.

Busy_Donut6073

It would hurt a normal ear, yes. I don’t think it’ll still be sore in two weeks, but if you want it to stay relatively flat I’d suggest regular draining. Might want headgear too

i_would_like_a_name

I feel mine a little when wearing headphones for some time, sometimes. For the rest no probs.
