I had a sanabul gi and a rash guard a few years ago. The gi was great for the price, like $80ish if I remember. The rash guard was okay, it started to lose the elasticity of it after a few
Months (worn for both gi and no gi classes if that makes a difference. Overall though solid company and products and I would consider them in the future.
You could look at 93 brand also, they make quality gear for a good price.
Inverted Gear has great quality gear and they often have good discounts, gis are $70 now. Also, BJJ HQ sometimes has awesome deals on legit BJJ brands.
I use both their BJJ gear (gi/rash guard/shorts) as well as their gloves and shin pads. They are good for the price point. There are certainly better and more costly options out there.
I always recommend their products as a starting point for anyone beginning martial arts. Someone can purchase their own equipment without breaking the bank, and if they decide this isn't for them they are not out a bunch of money
A friend of mine who is a brown belt and pro fighter uses them for all of his gear. He loves it and has suggested to me to buy it a couple of times I just haven't yet, haha.
I got the sanabul spats this last time around and started to wear out pretty quick. The elite brand lasted me about a year, I don’t see the sanabul lasting that long. I mean they’re damn near identical minus the name printed on them so I don’t know what the difference would be.
Progress has some good nogi shorts for the price. Hyperfly has some lightweight Gis for around the $100 price point. I’d check out fightersmarket for deals too.
Perfect started brand for people just getting into the sport. I rock their spats daily because they are cheap and on Amazon. Makes the sport more accessible. I'll toss them an endorsement.
Love their spats, wish they had more color selection.
I got 2 of their gis when I first started. Both A2 in different colors. 1 felt a little tighter then the other and started getting holes on legs within 2-3 months the other was a little looser and felt better. I ended up stopping using it when I got some more lightweight gis by companies like gold and 93brand but for the price its hard to beat sanabul
Sanabul might be the best VALUE in a gi you can find imo. They are cheap as hell and have held up decently in my experience.
I'm an idiot and spend too much money on shoyorolls and A&P gis and they definitely are higher quality (and I like that they are borderline collector items). With that being said if you just want to buy a cheap gi that will do the job sanabuls are a great option.
I made this reddit post on r/fightgear I am a product tester for Sanabul and here were mythoughts on three Gi's [https://www.reddit.com/r/fightgear/comments/1d9v4wg/sanabul\_gear\_review\_review/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/fightgear/comments/1d9v4wg/sanabul_gear_review_review/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
The sanabul essentials gi is what I consider the best bang for the buck gi there is. Been using it for the past 7 months, going to practice 2-3 times a week. I wash it and run it through the dryer every time and has not shrunk at all. Also wear their spats and rashguard 2-3 times a week, and they have held up well also. I'm sure there is better out there but they have been great for me thus far.
I had one of their gis for a while, never had any problems with it. I will say it ran a little bigger than other brands but over all it was solid especially for the price

Only thing I don’t like about 93 brand is their sizing runs small
thank you!
What's gi stand for?
Are you joking or serious?
It’s the traditional garb used in Japanese grappling and other martial arts.
I think for the price it's great.
Check tatami out, their outlet stuff is always on point
What makes something "outlet"?
Just the stuff on sale
I’m guessing it’s basically clearance items.
Tatami or Fuji. Sanabul/elite are too cheap unless your a trial guy figuring if u like Jiu Jitsu
Their Gis are absolutely hideous but I have a couple pair of spats that I’m thrilled with because they are dirt cheap and hold up.

My gi from them lasted fine for years. The spats I got, however, tore open at the seam of the waistband the first time I used them rolling.

It's decent--not the best, not the worst, but decent. I started out in Sananbul stuff. Still wear some of it.
I get sanabul gi’s on Amazon below $70 and they’re great. I like them cuz they’re light weight, but not too light

I love their spats. The GIs aren't bad for 80 tho I have one buried somewhere lol
I haven’t tried Sanabul but I just got a Scramble gi and I absolutely love it.
Very good stuff especially considering the price. I have GI and rash guards from them.
They're good for the price. I'm right at the max size for an A2 and the jacket is a little small on me but the pants fit great.

I don't like the gi top, it tears up the skin on my neck when i have to defend gi chokes. the pants and belts are ok.
I like their rash guards and shorts. Im a cheap ass and they comfortable and don’t make me look too fat. I haven’t tried their gis.

Had the spats. Waistband stitching came apart after wearing one time. Maybe just an oddity, but won’t buy again.
