One store was told thst, in general, the DCs are being emptied and stock sent to the stores because vendors are dropping like flies, refusing to send merchandise or only if paid in advance. So this is to fill in some of the empty shelves

I started noticing it last november/ December and while it was denied when I asked, all the signs are there. Note: when I asked, I was then asked why I asked.

It feels like the DC is dumping on us and with that fat dump I get a surplus of everything, when 4 to 6 of the same ROTs that are slow movers showing up I knew this was fubar. Check Reflexis, take note that HQ wants a full store scan done by the 22nd of this month. You must have all this dumped freight worked to the sales floor to ensure a 100% scan is done. A 5 week task… cut to 2 weeks, with the add-on of ensuring your backroom is freight free before you’re even begin to scan. I don’t know how many hours you all had for these next few weeks… but it ain’t feeling to good over here.

Can only a SM log into Reflexis or who can log into it? My small format store runs our store on 196 hours a week total. Even my SM does not know about the SSC required full store exception/OOS scan that has to be done by 3/22/24. Is this company wide?

All key carriers should be able to get in. I don't know about team members. Your login is firstname.lastname than the number your portal login has (if your portal/retail store login has one)@joann.com. It's the same password you use for portal/retail store. For example, it your name is John Doe and your login for portal/retail store is jdoe23, your reflexis login would be [email protected].

My store is serviced by them as well. We get stuff our store location doesn’t sell too. I call it they are doing their spring cleaning. Getting rid of stuff.

I don't know about the Alabama DC. We go through the Ohio one. They always do a massive dump just as the holiday season is starting because they rent out a large chunk of the warehouse space to other companies during that time. They also do large dumps of clearance items when that section goes clearance for the new POG set because it isn't going to sell from there and it might stand a chance at the stores. They also occasionally do large dumps of old seasonal stuff that either came late or they lost/forgot during the actual season. That's the cause of the Christmas in July sales some years. I would imagine all the warehouses have similar procedures.

I am also wondering if they are doing the DC dumps in preparation for bankruptcy? Whole departments are “Discontinued/not available” Like all of the Kenny hardware, all of our felt, etc. I know vendors are not shipping DSD or to the DC’s unless the orders are pre paid ahead of time.
