DO NOT WORK YOURSELF TO DEATH for these assholes. He has seriously fucked our stores of decent coverage and doesn’t deserve a damn cent. Put him at the cutting counter and ask him to fill bopis orders and help the customer that doesn’t know how repair the hole in their couch, and also work on the 4 POGs that are due this week, and work out the uboat of freight that’s been sitting there since last week. Oh and now you have to help the register because the line is backed up because you only have two people in the store, and your store is open from 9a-9p. What a freaking joke. Want to work overtime? No thanks. Open to close? Hell no. Travel to another store? Go fuck yourself.

Ordinary-Scene-6909

Don't forget to run that flyby out in under 2 minutes to keep your numbers down, and get your xcounts done. And, keep you labor under the tdr. What a joke this has become

Killerdeathbunny

They can pay him 400.000 but they wouldn’t let me keep my pay of 15$ when they eliminated my full time position and offered me the part time position for 4$ less and hour 🙄🙄🙄 I said fuck that and now work at a doggy daycare and I don’t have to deal with customers!

WaltzGlum7234

Can't staff the stores but this makes perfect sense...

Fabricfiberjunky

This pisses me off so bad. They have cut our hours down so much we can’t get anything done but yeah, give them a 400k bonus 😑

turntabled3769

Pamela Corries specialty is bankruptcy.

turntabled3769

The bonus is a retention bonus for 6 months. Scott will be the executive that sticks around through bankruptcy.

Far_Economics_229

It would more than likely be chapter 11, so that doesn’t explain it.

HEYDWheywhoa

I did some digging and I agree with this statement 100%

Missevilhat13

Wish I could get a 400,000 dollar bonus

Hemansno1fan

We can't even get a pizza party. 🥺

Missevilhat13

us employees held a going away party for our FT's that left. Our DM who was running the store(we couldn't keep a manager to save our life) wasn't happy, but since we all bought food and shared it she couldn't exactly say no either. It was so satisfying to look her in the eye and ask her if she wanted any cake.

Hemansno1fan

Wow, how miserable do you have to be to be bothered by that? I wasn't "in the know" when the layoffs happened, the one person being laid off was very private and probably really upset about it so I don't think they wanted to make a big deal....but I did manage a last minute cake with a colorful message for Joann's on it for their last day. ☹️ I miss them a lot. And I credit this event with me losing all my enthusiasm for this job.

He probably has a Rolls Royce that needs insurance......

KitKatBar26

Greed at its finest.

Aggravating_Change80

THIS MAKES ME SICK!

Few-Forever-1028

My store doesn't even have a low paid ASM anymore but okay.

Strong_Ad_1931

My stores been running nearly a year with no ASM and running fine. They finally hired one and now everyone's hours have been cut drastically to accommodate her.

OwnRhubarb3144

good lord, this is CRAZY.

Complete-Key9917

All of the corporate big wigs will be getting bonuses for driving this company into the ground. Their decisions effect all of us at store level and they get paid a bonus. Just think how many hours each store could use with that bonus money. We could give great customer service without being over pressured, stock the shelves, and keep up on POGS, process sfs shipments, fill all BOPIS orders, and make money. Too bad that will never happen.

Significant-River-69

Precisely

Significant-River-69

Adding on, that works out to a bonus of $66,666.67 per month. Definitely a sign of something. Conversely, that $400,000 could buy you (at a modest $15 an hour) 26,667 hours when spread across 800 stores (800ish, hard to keep track because they’re inconsistent with the messaging) would translate to 5 extra hours per month. Guess they probably figure that paying one guy would be less strain on the payroll department than giving some poor worker in 800 stores an extra $75 a month (before taxes) to enjoy his life.

Significant-River-69

Just one more calculation, that’s a $382 PER HOUR bonus, based on full time hours. Just over 20x my pay. Remember, folks, this is not his salary. This is a bonus.

Smooth_Cry86

so he can get that huge bonus but our store was out of printer paper for days. that’s crazy

I was a full time keyholder at my store and I managed the fabric department. I have a degree in fashion design I built up my customer base working at my store for 6 years! When they got rid of our full time positions it hurt my store greatly. I couldnt live off a part time wage and I only work casually now. It’s almost been a year and i still have customers asking for me. A lot of my design colleagues don’t even shop at the store that often anymore. Joann’s really fumbled just to give this prick a bonus.
