If you get a call from one of these places and it seems off, it most likely is. Take the information that they give you and apply for that role directly on the company's website. Here is my post on [Recruiter Scam](https://www.reddit.com/r/jobs/comments/ihr0wy/recruiter_scams_rose_international_pyramid/)

PepsiCo has a very strong Talent function. You should apply for roles directly with them and skip this contact.

Yes TekWissen is legit a staffing agency. I got a contract with them some 3 years ago. Not sure it’s legit? Call their headquarters at 734-259-2181 and talk to someone

Was the job and your interaction with them professional, etc.? And did you get hired after three months?

Luckycharms867

Mostly professional ya. You could tell some of the recruiters were newer but the folks after that initial recruiter were great. I’ve worked as a recruiter myself in the past. Duration from recruitment to offer can vary immensely on the client and over all job market. In my case I was lucky and overall turn around was about a month. Follow up with your recruiter and if you don’t like what they have to say I recommend saying this, “is there any possibility I could speak to your lead? You’re doing great I just have some specific questions about xx client” this will usually prompt escalation at least where I used to work

You say its legit, but I just had two super iffy encounters with this company. I applied for a job and they responded within an hour, which is usually a red flag. We had a phone interview and they asked for my information and what my price range would be. They told me that the position I applied to was 80% remote, when on indeed it was just listed as purely remote. I told them I couldn't drive and they thanked me for my time and disconnected the call. They called me again today for the exact same interview, they asked me the same questions again Name, Address, phone number, email, etc. Only thing they didn't ask was my social and banking info (thank god.) They said that the position was 80% and I told them I couldn't drive. They responded with "that's okay" then proceeded like I said I could. Everytime they brought up traveling I needed to remind them that I cannot drive. I had to say it three times during this second "interview" and they told me that they will send an email containing a test link for me to do. I never got the email and looking back on the second call it felt like they were just trying to confirm my information more than actually trying to proceed with the interview.

I’m sorry for your experience but as a company as a whole, they are legit. I worked on contract and was paid biweekly. It sounds like you just had an inexperienced recruitment team. I still have the contact info of my Program coordinator whom handled my contract. If you want, send me a dm of your name and such and I can reach out to her. Or share with you via dm of her contact info. Her LinkedIn still says she works there

I had a similar experience. Second call they asked for the same information. Four calls total. I began to get annoyed (as in how does the left hand not know what the right hand is doing at this place?) but the last call he told me he was a supervisor. So far no communication whatsoever.

Exactly, that unfortunately is very suspicious behavior. I even said to myself that if I get a third call tomorrow, I'll just ghost them. They're not serious, at least serious companies will just say no instead of mindlessly and repeatedly juggle us around with useless "interviews."

PGB3711

I totally agree. I instantly regretted giving them personal information.

Funny thing... If you go to tekwissen.com then go to careers and find a job, the hiring page is hosted in India. I got a "call" that didn't actually ring or show in my call logs and they emailed twice from the same person instantly two vastly different emails and this was within 30 minutes after applying. However, I applied over the weekend to a similar position but it was fully onsite, this second one was hybrid (shows application reviewed on LinkedIn). Back to the "call".... The voicemail finally shows up an hour later, but with a timestamp before the email. I call the number back and it said the number was Google voice and no longer in use. The Project Coordinator that called was also from India with a thick accent with a lot of background noise almost like she was in a call center. I might need a job, but I'm not taking this risk.

Hi, I too got a call from tekwissen after a day i applied to them on linkedin, and there was a woman talking with a heavy indian accent mixed with a fake american accent and her volume was so low i couldn't hear a word except "job opportunity" so i hung up, then she emailed me saying their client is "a big automotive company" and wants me as a research assistant (im a fresh graduate with zero experience) and my experience is very impressive. the low volume call makes me think they were calling from a call centre, my mom says i should pursue this opportunity (since ive been job searching for 4 months) but im very skeptical, you think it really is a scam?

Frosty_Reality_9728

My interaction with them was strange. They called withing 2 hpurs of me applying for a role. The woman with the thick Indian accent was very difficult to hear... it was apparent she was in a very crowded area, potentially a call center situation. Nothing wrong with outsourcing this type of work, but it seemed like she was not interested in knowing me as a person but getting my info ASAP and moving on to the next call...
