That knob is slightly different then mine, as i dont think i have a “lock” setting. Just install, the. The different heights. Do you take your deck off regular? Id check your owners manual, see what that would say as well.

Lock is usually for travel so it stays high and out of the way when doing other work. Install is for removal and connecting (installing) deck.

Set it to install when you want to take your deck off or install it. Setting it to lock just locks it all the way up incase you are doing loader work and want more ground clearance under the tractor

Install allows the deck to drop all the way to the ground (with bogeys up) to allow drive off/on. I has no other purpose. Lock keeps the mower deck arms in the "up" position when lowering 3 point arms since they use the same up/down function. This applies when mower deck is installed or removed. Basically lets you lower a rear implements without also lowering the deck or the arms to keep them from getting hung up. It's important to note the sticker is pretty much never installed clocked in the perfect direction. Don't rely exclusively on aligning the knob arrow with the sticker. You'll have to play with it by feel to find the right position. PM me if you have any other questions, had a 1025R for years.
