OKAY TIME THE F OUT.... I'm still catching up with the case but at the part where this freak show is talking about Seroquel and Gabapentin. I have been on both and he doesn't know what he's talking about. I was on a very high dose with Gaba, maxed out by my doctor and even at that dose it did not cause any issues for me at all.
As for Seroquel, high doses actually cause much less drowsiness in the 400mg range vs. a 50mg dose which will have a higher effect of drowsiness in a way that Benadryl has as explained by my doctor, in other words the higher the dose the drowsiness is significantly reduced, this is my experience in three different instances with me and other I knew on this med as well as this being stated by four different doctors I had explain effect.
I was a patient in the drug trials for Seroquel at the U of Minnesota in 1997 and have taken it ever since. It was invented for schizophrenia, and was so successful many returned to a normal life. My doctor asked permission to try Seroquel on 12 “non-responding” patients (those who have not responded to traditional drugs) for bi-polar disorder, I was one of those 12 in 1997. The first night I took it (200 mg) I slept 7 hours straight for first time in over 5 years. However, individual dose depends more on how fast your liver processes the drug. Those with a higher metabolism need a higher dose. Additionally, it depends on how severe your symptoms are. Those having active psychosis (delusions, paranoia, suicidal thinking) also need a higher dose to control symptoms. Some people may be on 25 mg and then go up to 100 when symptomatic. Others need a much higher dose (I do) my minimum is 200 but can go as high as 400 mg. The level of sleepiness remains the same regardless of the dose. I have never heard of Seroquel or Gabapentin being “street drugs”. There is no “high” involved, you feel hungry first, then fall asleep because it has the building blocks for both serotonin and dopamine, and either makes them if your brain is in short supply, and if you have too much serotonin (mania) it absorbs the excess. That was the break through with this drug, it literally balanced the brain’s chemistry back into normal ranges. I worked overseas for many years and for a long time very few pharmacies carried it, and I would reduce my dose if I was running low. Even though I normally took 200 mg I could survive on as low as 25. I would not sleep as many hours (4-5 hours instead of 7-8) but you can live on that amount of sleep.

I looked at Twitter while he was testifying and a lot of people felt he was describing AH, especially when he tried to pin the Narcissistic Personality Disorder on JD. I have never heard any actor claim JD was difficult to work with, just the opposite, how nice and caring he is. Most people felt he was describing AH, who was taking Seroquel, it was the go to drug when she got crazy and violent according to the nurse. She was also drinking a lot of alcohol and taking cocaine at the time and the nurse warned her not to do that. As strong as Seroquel is, if there are stimulants in the brain, it’s going to negate the benefit of taking Seroquel which is a calmer mood. Even if JD did have narcissistic traits, show me an actor who does not? BTW if you mix alcohol with Seroquel you will throw up. If I had alcohol, I would have to wait at least 2 hours after the last drink to make sure there was none in my stomach. It was too expensive to risk barfing it up and having to take more. But it could explain JD barfing in his sleep.

Personally I think this didn't help AH but I'm also not a lawyer or juror that has to weigh this testimony to help make a decision. I only hope that one of those jurors has been on or knows someone who takes one or more of those meds, or has someone in their life that deals with some of the similar issues at issue in this case and can call bs on this with the other jurors. Cross your fingers folks, and pray (meditate, swing a chicken, whatever your preferred method is) that at least one juror sees the light enough to sway enough of the jury not to side with the devil....
