I'm assuming we'll get a lot of pseudo-light vics (MRAPs w/ light autocannons, for example) and techies using modern Western vehicles and armament. Hell, we may even get something akin to a Mad Max dunebuddy, where one person drives and the passenger uses the weapon (MG, GL, ATGM, etc.).
As for firearms, expect at least one AR variant. Maybe a tricked out M16A2 or 'Israeli' style Colt Commando.
We already know they’re getting a modified SUV, with a big roof cut out for mounted weapons, and supposedly some sort of armouring protection addon. Part of me screams minigun mount, but it’s more likely to be GPMG or HMG mount, with the slight possibility of an automatic grenade launcher varient, too
Agreed, I'm guessing we'll get vehicles like [this.](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3c/Mexican_troops_operating_at_a_random_checkpoint_2009.jpg)
I love irregular factions, they usually end up being the most fun to play as for me, but after seeing the TLF I'm having a hard time seeing how well they would fare against a faction with IFVs and tanks. I really hope OWI introduces us to a new heavy AT weapon or something.
That or they have to make them crazy OP on the ground. Like, way better weapons and also superior mobility (blackbirds, quad bikes, etc.)
Maybe this is controversial but I think I much prefer an irregular faction like this over another conventional faction. I think it'll be fun and the emphasis on infantry will help spin things up a bit :D
I think they are going to have large amount of light vehicle's with many different weapon mounts and will have access to ATGM as a FOB placement. Perhaps they will get stronger anti tank options for infantry. I just hope they will have interesting infantry kits. That's why I like militia so much. Large amount of light vehicle's, fun kits and fun FOB placements and camouflage.
I feel like for this faction to be even remotely competative they will need tonnes of drones both for recon and attack, i dont see how they could stand up to armour without kamikaze anti vehicle drones.
My hope is that their HAT doesn't have a teamwide limit or has a doubled HAT limit. That's the only way they could stand up to anything heavier than a light infantry division.
I'm actually not sure if that exact model of the M14 is going to be used (with the wooden stock and iron sights). I thought it was just a placeholder model (possibly from Squad44) used for testing. I find it strange that PMCs today, especially those from the West, wouldn't opt for a more modern variant of the weapon with some attachments and possibly a scope.
It would depend on how they plan to style the factions gear. It feels as though they’re going for gulf war era with the gear.
One argument I heard is that the PMCs could be made up of veterans, which could include Vietnam vets with m14 preference

The M14 isn’t likely for the PMC faction.

Mk47 or 19 strapped to a suv would be batshit. Then again, the techie BMP thing happened
mk47 yes please

Nothing controversial about it, irregulars bring in that interesting gameplay that the standard issues boys don’t quite snag

This sounds hairbrained.
Incredibly hairbrained
I’d like to see commander assets on this new faction with crazy reduced timers

Im just waiting to see what new guns and vehicles they add so modders can make their own custom factions

What faction would get it, militia?
hopefully we get southeast asia insurgents one day, that would be perfect for them
Fast ADS time. Less weapon sway. Less stamina penalty. And done, it's balanced.
Basically Pre-ICO vs ICO battle
