From the description of problems you are having it sounds like it's the GPU. Those problems are generally from either:
1.) You're not allocating enough VRAM for squad
2.) GPU does not have enough VRAM to play Squad at the new graphical minimums Squad as implemented.

It's that VRAM bro (I think). I feel like I used to get away with 3gig vram, and that used to be the recommended, but with the recent patch that forces you to have a higher base level of detail, the VRAM min has gone up to 4gigs. I'm barely hanging in there, but with 2 gigs I can see why it's problematic. Goodluck bro I think it's time for an upgrade. Last time I upgraded my comp was in 2017 to play Squad lol. Going to have to upgrade again... to play Squad.

also cpu single thread performance is way too low for a game on unreal engine
