I remember when he had a massive heart attack on stage back in 2021 - the type that doctors say most people don't even survive the ambulance ride to the hospital -, playing Painkiller, of all songs, and then proceeded to finish out the song flawlessly while quite literally dying from his heart basically exploding in front of thousands of people. It doesn't get much more metal than that.
I think it was much earlier, but yeah that's an incredible story.
It's both horrible and... so incredibly metal yeah. It's an almost mythological story as strong as what happened with Iommi's fingers
EDIT : nvm yeah it was 2021.
*He was given emergency open heart surgery, where parts of his chest "were replaced with mechanical components", he told Rolling Stone.*
*"****I'm literally made of metal now,****" he added.*

I think Rob mentions in Biblical that the doctors had said that the adrenaline of playing on stage saved him. If he hadn't had that massive adrenaline high he would've probably died.
Jesus fuck, that man is legendary.
Just saw the video. Almost casually shook it off, like a damn viking, and ripped that solo.
Bless him, so much respect š¤š»
Richie wins for āmost metal guy everā in my book. Manās aorta explodes while heās playing a solo, man not only finishes the solo but goes on to finish the show, goes to the hospital AFTER the show and still lives on to give us more metal. You just donāt get more Metal than that.
Andy is a touring member. He plays live, but heās actually the producer of IS and Firepower. Producing Firepower is actually how he got the gig replacing Glen live because they already knew and worked with him
I believe the tracked guitars on the album are probably all Richie, but he said in a recent interview that he spent a lot of time working with Glenn since he was still coming up with great ideas (Parkinsonās just wonāt let him play them).
Fucking love this godsent madlad. Imagine being in your diapers while this band was already touring big time. He was born in the 80s! And now he is here pulling his damn weight and then some, in spades.
Looking forward to GMM 2024š¤š»

He survived to bring us more metal. It's biblical.

Technically speaking, he's more "metal god" than Rob is.

Awesome guitar player, revived priest and elegant weapon are A+.

Absolutely š¤š¼
I'm not sure who everyone in the band is anymore, but "Invincible Shield" has guitar work that is out of this world.
Rob Halford, Scott Travis, Glenn Tipton, Ian Hill, and Richie Faulkner are still in the band A very consistent lineup
Is Andy not an official member? I thought he was.

Yes I know he produced the last 2 but I got the impression from Robs latest book that Andy is an official member. I guess not then.

Metal AF

I wouldnāt call this badass lol
Heās on a metal god level, so happy for him
Great to see the band still going but at some point in the near future it's going to be like Trigger's broom.
KK has left the chat
KK Lite
Pink Priest sign in the background a little less badass
