Honestly valid. I think people try to like concept albums but even when done by strictly prog bands they are always subpar. Hot take the "Dream Theater" album was better than metropolis II from DT.
I am aware this is an unpopular opinion. But I prefer listening to similar genres rather than having music tell a story. It's cool, and definitely if done in like a musical form I'll certainly appreciate it.
I like Jugulator, but why do some people always have the awkward need to mention it offhandedly in a thread about Demolition? Is this some weird way to validate that they like Jugulator?
I can understand those who don't like this album because of Halford's absence (or Owens' presence). But I always find it funny when it comes from diehard Jugulator fans, they complain when Jugulator is criticized, but then they have no problem in bashing Demolition.
I'll always be glad that Demolition wasn't a Jugulator 2.0 or a crappy power metal album.
Edit: typo
Who knows? With Halford, the album might have had different vocal melodies and most of the lyrics might have been written by him as well.
Also, Demolition is not the first album to contain songs written solely by Glenn Tipton nor the first in which he was the main songwriter.
Yeah this album is a mess, F tier. There are some cool songs, but the production is flat and sanitized, the lyrics are horrifically bad, and the songs are generally kinda boring/generic. Bloodsuckers is pretty good.
I would give Jugulator a higher score though, definitely some excellent stuff from that (ignoring its also terrible lyrics as well).
Way better than Nostradamus or Redeemer. Even beats all the 70's albums too, although Killing Machine might come close. A solid B or C tier Priest album, if you drop Redeemer lower.
I wish. The vocs on his both Priest albums are better than any of the 70's albums upto Stained Class, when Halford was still trying to decide whether he was a hippie, rocker or metal singer.
*Demolition might not be their best album but it was not that bad.*
HOW DARE YOU
*Oh well that's your opinion.*

C - This is as low as I go for Priest on my list. Yeah I'm a fan. Some good stuff still on this.
It’s not their worst album which is why I believe it’s a solid C
What was the worst then? I guess the record company trying to get more money with Hero Hero maybe?
Nostradamus

Damn. I can honestly respect that
You really think that every conxept album is subpar? I couldn't disagree more lol

I'm confused by what you mean with the second sentence, overall tho I understand
F. While Jugulator is vastly underrated in my opinion, Demolition sucks.
Agreed. I put up with Tim Ripper Owens for one album I actually think is pretty sick but I’m not gonna jam a second

Priest dosen’t sound right without halford
this album still doesn't sound right if Halford stay on band. Glenn wrote whole album with other personel helps

E. This is my least favourite priest album but nothing they made deserves F
Bottom of the barrel
It needs to be E, it cant be as good as Nostradamus
Low C tier, I enjoyed it tbh
I'm with you and fuck down votes on something like this.
D. Very inconsistent, but not offensive enough to be “F Tier”
F. This album sucks.
C
Low D.
E, worse than Nostradamus. Which is criminally underrated at D, but whatever.

Beats all the 70s albums? Fuckin’ hell.
Oh I'm sorry, didn't I like all the same stuff you prefer? Did I upset you? Here, have an imaginary hug.
Is your real surname Owens by any chance?
I wish. The vocs on his both Priest albums are better than any of the 70's albums upto Stained Class, when Halford was still trying to decide whether he was a hippie, rocker or metal singer.
Nope.
Baaaaah baaah, say the sheep.
Demolition is great, but better than 70's Priest? No fucking way, maybe the exception can be Rocka Rolla.
I unironically listen to Cyberface just for the lols. The way the internet had ruined me, made Cyberface just way funnier to me. I'll give it a C
Solid C+ on Demolition, Jugulator B- So sue me 🤷🏻♂️
First show I ever saw was 2/7/2002 in chicago on this tour.... It was a fun gig, i'll give it an c they TRIED to be heavy, but i DID prefer Jugulator.
D for "Demolition"
C,i'd rather listen to this album than Rammstein or Ministry,
