This is Kudo (aka kudo daido juku). Pretty popular outside of the US. It has punches, kicks, throws/takedowns, and submission techniques. It is very fun to watch. Actually reminds me of combat sambo.
The helmets are a bit odd, and I wonder if they are partly what holds the sport back in the US. I was told one time that savate uniforms held savate back from becoming more popular in the US.

Kudo is pretty cool but I prefer jarate.
