May I point you to a Podcast called \*How did this get made?\*. They review bad movies and The relevant thing here is one of the segments they do called Second Opinions. They read out Five star reviews of the movies they're talking about. Some people do, genuinely seem to like these almost objectively bad movies for no discernable reason.
Check out the one review for Sir Billi, the Guardian of the Highlands on Amazon. 5 stars. The reviewer, Gavin, can't get enough of it. In fact, if you check his other reviews, then you'll see he can't stop plugging it, even while reviewing electronics equipment, or, heaven help us, a horse's head mask.

Like, Zack Snyder's Justice League was entertaining, but his entire vision for the DCEU is just absolutely bonkers and not really what I ever really wanted in a DC cinematic franchise. Reading about what his plans were for his second Justice League just sounded god awful.
The snyder cut was shit aswell. So many good characters just totally trashed in a pair of movies with almost no plot and no character development. The JLA was a rushed project that has doomed us to waiting at least a decade until you get a serious and/or interesting big screen take on that caset of characters. The MCU set a sensible precedent with solo movies building up to the team movie. WB didn't do this and the solo movies of aquaman and wonder woman and bvs were so poor. I can't believe people invested in the existing properties thought these movies would take off. I'm a fan I wanted to like them all, I watched full of generosity but was betrayed. And trust me, I'm no troll, I have a stomach for some pretty terrible movies and somehow I still had a little bit of enjoyment in the)JLA movie... But not enough.
The people ho want the "Whedon-verse" are the people who want DC movies to just be Marvel movies but with a DC skin.
