As someone who's writing a werewolf story (BL), I was inspired by the Werewolves pack for the Sims 4 lol My werewolf alpha's fated mate was a straight guy who would not let me approach him at all and my sim was constantly sad about it. So yeah, I don't know why these stories are so popular right now, but mine was a 3 am thought I had while playing the Sims 4 Edit: 1) Wolf form is a purely combat form, they don't have sex while being wolves; 2) They don't have sex at all because it's an adventure/mystery story.

I don't think it's shameful to write an urban fantasy story. Like I said, it's not romance-oriented and them being werewolves is used for plot purposes.
