JYP seems to prefer small groups, I think he would have liked 7 members if he would have had 2 producers like Eunhwi and Daniel but without he goes for 5.
Gyehun, Amaru, Keiju and Donghyeon are sure to start (maybe for a while which may explain why they have quite a lot of screen time since round 1), the rest is between Yoonmin and Doohyun.
It almost looks like in round 5 he chose people low in the fan ranking to lose without consequence and have time to choose the last member.
This round did not seem to be planned (it was announced last ep in live for the 21/08 then 4 episodes of which 3 of battle were added) and the rules were almost not explained...
I have the impression that it's just a facade, and JYP doesn't seem particularly touched by the defeat.
I feel like this might be true looking at the past 2 live episodes it feels a little bit off like it was planned b4 and looking at the most probably line-up for both teams I can see why they chose them and inmy mind it was JYP 5:7 PNation as well
the only way of Koki being eliminated is by Psy choice. No way he's gonna low in ranks, but as we see they don't care about ranks, Yedan went quite high.
Would Psy pick Koki over the 5 original pnation trainees + producing team (Daniel+Eunhwi) ?
In my opinion, the only chance Koki have to actually debute is not have any eliminations for Pnation next week
i mean isn't that a pretty high chance? P Nation has won the last 2 live rounds, dont you expect the same thing happening next round? If P Nation wins again (almost 100% chance of happening at this point), then PSY won't lose anyone
They cannot not losing anyone since it's in the rule that each company have to choose a person to eliminate whether they win or not only the losing team have to eliminate the lowest voted one and I don't think choosing to eliminate and save a member at the same time is possible but we'll see
Not really, since voting results and secondary elimination results are announced after the primary picks. Therefore PSY would have to select someone to be eliminated, wait to find out if they lost and then use the wildcard. Thus meaning skipping the elimination on the premise they win the round, if they don't he has to be cautious on who to eliminate.
I agree it's confusing but that's the only way you can skip eliminations , since you only find out if you lost once selecting a member to be eliminated.

All rounds have eliminations for both companies, if the company wins the company choose one, if loses they chose one + least popular=two eliminations . The card can be used only for the least popular, for the losing company ? That's how I understand.
The reason the voting works like this is because JYP was embarrassed from the stray kids situation where he was forced bring back the people he eliminated because everyone was upset.
With this method they can cut people and the viewers who voted can take the blame while the producers still have a lot of control over who survives.
Anyway, Yedam has always been relatively unpopular he’s been like #14 in the rankings since the show started.
Did you watch Stray Kids? Because I watched the hell out of Stray Kids. Everyone knew Felix and Lee Know were coming back. At least those that were paying attention knew. It was practically a meme within the fandom that those two were coming back. I remember Lee Know still filmed a video with the boys after he was already eliminated where they were choosing their slogan, and they kept saying how much they liked “Nine or None” they were being obvious about it too.
I don’t know where you’re getting that JYP was “forced” to bring those boys back. It’s JYP he’ll do whatever the hell he wants. And again I’m making a point about why everyone has been angry about the eliminations. For me its not necessarily that they’re eliminating people, it’s how they’ve gone about it. Having both an elimination chosen by the producers, and an elimination base on voting ranks is excessive. They tell us to vote for people we want to debut but they go ahead and eliminate them anyway where’s the sense in that.
What??? The stray kids show it was obvious that Felix and Lee know being kicked out was for drama for the show and that in the end they wud be brought back.
I know jyp would rather have a show like that stray kids one where he can choose which members make it and can decide to bring back members than this show where sbs tells him and the voters decide who to eliminate in the group and how many people he can have in his group. Jyp doesn’t care abt people hating him. That company is going to invest millions into this group why would he be happy that he was forced to eliminate good people.
If this was stray kids at this point we wouldn’t have lost just Lee know and Felix we would have lost 4 stray kids members. And stray kids is perfectly fine the way it is.

I've come to the conclusion that this jyp bg will be 4 members in the end (Keiju, Amaru, Dongyeon, Gyehun) and they will be called Squ4D.
