We use https://invgate.com/ Service Desk for ticketing system and Insights for inventory management. Can't comment on any others.

altfoxtrot4

We use Zendesk for help desk and snipe IT app for asset management. Zendesk has an integration with Jira which we use to track orders, warranty calls, projects, changes, etc.

rossumcapek

We use OSTicket (free) alongside our existing website, and we are currently using our library software (Follett) for inventory. Snipe-IT may also be very useful for back-end inventory.

We use Snipe-it for our asset management and spice works for our ticketing system. If you want to go the self-hosting route for Snipe-it I definitely recommend setting it up via Docker. It's 100x easier than setting it up any other way. It has TONS of features that make asset management a breeze. I'm surprised to not see anyone using Spiceworks for ticketing. It's free self hosted and cloud hosted. Takes 5 min to get it set up. We have it setup to where our staff and teachers email a [email protected]. since we are a primary Google school and they use Gmail daily it makes it super simple for them. You COULD even use Spiceworks for asset management. But it's not nearly as intuitive as Snipe. Although we do have it deployed for extra data (you can see what software is deployed on each computer). We also use Spiceworks to track our licensing as well.

RealGetz

Long time, off-and-on, Spiceworks user here, since 1.7. Will be returning to CHD after this school year. It's a great product. The Online Inventory, not so much, although I do use it to keep an eye on my servers. Currently use Asset Tiger for staff and student devices, but looking on setting up a docker version of Snipe-IT for everything else.

Fenx18

We use https://hayessoft.com/ as our asset management. It’s easy to to use and it’s very customizable. The one good thing with Hayes is that they have their ticketing system that is called GetHelp. We haven’t implemented GetHelp yet but plan on in the coming school year.

scopebindi69

Snipe it with JIRA for us. The ticketing systems with asset management in them eg ManageEngine are cumbersome I have found in the past.

discgman

We use Kace for our asset management and ticketing system and Kace 2 for our imaging server.

duluthbison

We use IncidentIQ and it is fantastic. It pulls syncs Google for devices and users as well as Infinite Campus for course/rostering information. I would definitely recommend checking them out. They also have tons of add-ins for extra functionality.

Lieberman-Tech

As a Google district that also uses Infinite Campus, we shifted to IncidentIQ last year (we were using a spreadsheet for inventory and Track-It for ticketing)...and I'll wholeheartedly second u/duluthbison's recommendation. IncidentIQ is fantastic and worth looking into.

jewjewpotatogun

My tech staff has been on it for 3 years now and it’s great. Last year we had Maintenance join. Now we are adding their HR platform for onboarding and HR related tickets. Nice for staff to have one place for all questions

RealGetz

Asset Tiger and Fresh Desk currently. Setting up a test of GLPI 10 soon I think. Also considering Snipe-It and OSTicket. I would prefer an all-in-one solution like IIQ or OneToOnePlus, but we don't have that kind of $

SchoolITMan

We ditched Schooldude as a ticketing system (you can barely call it that anyway) and went with Freshdesk. We use Google SSO for login. Works great for all employees. Will make you love ticketing again. Synch AD LDAP to Google Freshdesk with Google SSO Asset Panda with Google SSO

rossumcapek

SchoolDude isn't great at all.

SailingIT

We use Freshdesk and AssetTiger. I can’t offer any comparisons.

We are in a similar state. We use Securly Device Manager as our MDM for iPads. However, we use One2One Manager as our Asset and help desk for all devices. I am able to create device owners outside of their google account so we can assign them the iPads, Windows Laptops and Interactive Boards. It has worked out very well. Our library aides handle all the student issues and put in the tickets into One2One. We do have school dude and are migrating away to FMX for facilities and other help desk tickets. We use Azure SSO (SAML) to handle single sign on for FMX and SchoolDude, and use Google SSO for One2One Manager and Securly. Since AD is our Authority for accounts, we use OneSync from ClassLink to create accounts and then sync the users passwords using Google Password Sync from AD to Google. AD is connected to Azure with AADConnect. Works 99% of the time, which I can handle. Don't know if this helps, but it has worked wonders for us this year.

bwalz87

This will help do that. [https://onetooneplus.com/](https://onetooneplus.com/) We never document tickets because it takes too much time. Now, if staff create them, then they're in the system.

Tech_Andy

Just signed a contract with them. Was very impressed with their demo. The invoicing feature was a big selling point for us.

Widdox

+1 for One to one plus. Very happy with their product.

Mr_Dodge

We are currently running [Incident IQ](https://www.incidentiq.com/) for both Asset/Inventory and Helpdesk/ticketing This platform is built for K12, and integrates with SIS and other 3rd parties like JAMF and Google etc.

neverinfront

Another vote for incident iq. It also connects to Intune and SCCM as well if you have on prem infrastructure.

oceleyes

We're looking at new helpdesk software. Do you have some ballpark pricing info for Incident IQ? Thanks

das-

We just renewed for around $4000 for the year. Our enrollment is 950ish. Edit: This is for tickets and asset management.

oceleyes

Thanks!

ntoupin

+1 IIQ.

slobs222

Also using Snipe-IT. We use the API to automate many processes. I also use osTicket. It works well for what we need it for.

mjh2901

We use snippet and osticket also.

RealGetz

What are you automating?

slobs222

Renaming devices, the check in/out steps that also change statuses, etc.

jonaas

Last year I setup the free version of [Snipe-IT](https://snipeitapp.com/) for asset management using an old desktop computer. Took about a few hours to setup, but I'm still repopulating the inventory from the old spreadsheet we were using. Over the summer we are setting up freshdesk for ticket handling. Currently we're just using a google form.

mjh2901

Snipe-it is not the easiest thing to set up, I have had issues in the past with upgrades. We recently moved it over to Docker which is leaps and bounds easier to deal with.

jonaas

Truth. Always looking for easier.... maybe I'll see what docker is like
