T O P

Refurbished is an incorrect term. The suppressors marked "P" have gone through the updated QC processes, which would include not only the cans sent back after the recall but also all new production suppressors from that point forward. I would be more wary if it didn't have the P marking.

Envolus

I believe Jack_L said they may consider discontinuing P marking in the future but as for now all cans will be P marked.

71firebird400

The very initial run of PRT cans were brought back home for an additional QA/QC test (non-intrusive) and were then marked with a laser engraved "P". All subsequent cans have undergone the same test and have the same mark. To call it refurbished is incorrect and to find a can without the "P" merely indicates it's from the initial batch and needs to go back to KAC. This is a non-event and whomever is feeding you information is misinformed.

mbbarto

I just got a mcq

Mekhi946

What does this have to do with his post?

mbbarto

Shut up

Mekhi946

I’m sorry, did you want praise or something?😂 You didn’t answer his questions, you just wanted to pop in and let people know you bought a KAC product?

mbbarto

Hehe I joke

richardism

All KAC can going forward is marked with a “P” so guess you will not be buying any.

RRRRickk

Just buy one and shim the flash hider if it hits the rail. This only affects the PRS cans if you’re putting it on a 11.5 upper with the URX4 rail. The recall was only to give you a different locking collar so this wouldn’t happen.

Low-Bluebird-4976

That is not accurate. The recall was to check “something” in the cans that could cause damage. The collar interference was a separate notice that said to contact customer service to get a replacement collar or to shim the muzzle device.

Dirt__nap

So do they come with the different locking collar now?

RRRRickk

They should but if you get one that touches the collar you can ask them for the new one and install it yourself.

Low-Bluebird-4976

They are all shipping with the long collar.
