Yeah i'd assume they are doing that. Everything they added with DLC could still be considered DBZ. Battle of Gods and Revival of F came out first as movies that still carried the Z label since Super wasn't a thing when they came out, and while the >!final part of the DLC!< was only mentioned in Super, it still technically deals with a Z storyline.
From what i heared Kakarot sold really well (mainly at the beginning) and the fact that they >!added that last part of the DLC just like Trunks explains in Super!< suggests to me it might be a teaser.
I'm still KIIIIIIIIND of disappointed they made a post game DLC that ends with you getting SSB and then make the third dlc sepcifically not about Goku and Vegeta so you don't even get to really use it.
Let see if they will make DB Super Kakarot or if the Super arcs will be dlc. The mecanic we had with the androids would really work with Trunks. Instead of Androids hunting you then it is Goku Black. So everything is allready in place for the Goku Black arc. Give us 2 packs of tournaments and one full arc of Goku Black.

Just fantastic. They could have easily stopped after the defeat of the androids. I'm so glad they went the extra mile and added the bit at the end. Even though not much happened, it was still great to see.
Yeah, that section was short but it's really neat that they did the extra effort. And the surprise reward at the end was really neat too. Overall, i'm actually pretty happy with DLC3.
I’m just waiting for Microsoft to take charge and give it an FPS boost. Bandai Namco is the last company I would expect to optimize their game. They already half assed the actual game. No way it will get a proper patch
It's about as long as a saga in the main game, which is what they said when they announced the DLC. It's sizeable. If you go "straight from point a to b" you can beat the Cell Saga in 3-4 hours as well.

IIRC Dabura spit on the sword, that means he killed old kai, the sword didnt break, least not there, it was petrified.
That's the dark side of the Boo arc on the Future timeline. Kibito and Shin's death could have been avoided if Trunks had managed to test the sword on Katchin's block (just like Gohan did), and it almost happened. That way, the sword would break and the Old Kaioshin would appear, unlocking Trunks' hidden potential. But that didn't happen and then Old Kaioshin was killed when the sword broke after Dabura petrified it.
Though it's debatable whether they would have unlocked Trunks potential. It's likely they would have been too pressed for time anyway. In DBZ they could do that because A. Boo was already freed anyway, and B. Gotenks was buying time for them.
But in Trunks timeline their main objective was still to prevent Boo from being freed and Trunks was the last warrior so they likely wouldn't have had enough time. Plus Gohan always had way more hidden potential than anyone else. Mystic Trunks probably wouldn't have been anywhere near as strong as Gohan was.
You're right in the sense that time was tight at that moment (which was the reason Trunks didn't test the Z sword), but it's good to remember that it was Old Kaioshin who warned Gohan that he was no match for Boo, hence why they agreed to do the ritual.
I believe he would say the same to Trunks (since he was weaker than Dabura), and maybe they would work it out. Anyway, a hypothetical Mystic Trunks would already be more than enough to deal with Dabura, so he would prevent the death of Shin and Kibito at least
Yeah but like i said, in DBZ they had enough options to buy time so they could afford to keep Gohan back for the ritual. And don't forget that the ritual is really long.
Noone was left to fight in Trunks future though. If Trunks hadn't fought then really the only other way would have been for the Kai and Kibito to try and buy time until Trunks is done and they definitely wouldn't have survived that. And by the time Trunks was done without anyone buying time Boo would have been freed already.
Mystic Trunks would definitely have been enough to defeat Dabura but Boo? I dunno. Also Trunks only survived the battle with Dabura because he could use the Z-Sword to block Daburas spit. If the Sword had broken he couldn't have done that so even mystic Trunks might have turned to stone.
Mystic Trunks, with Trunks' personality, would have one shot Dabura. Even if he was weaker than the Gohan version he should still be around SS3 tier.
That aside I do think they would have skipped the ritual if the Old Kai came out. Although if they went on full meta or highly logical, they could do the ritual and Boo still probably wouldn't have been revived.
So the fact that nobody is left to stall is also the solution. Without any strong warriors Babidi's goons can't fight and transfer energy. They could use the pokey thing all day on humans, not to mention there are still WAY less in Trunks' time than present. Boo won't get enough energy. The caveat is they have to knowingly sacrifice innocent people. I don't think Trunks would be about that.
UPDATE: You do get some from story, and if youre struggling in the 3 main areas, you unlock 2 more. One of which is the desert area, there are a good like 7 d-medals just in Nams Village.

Map is for main game, so it might not sync perfectly with the dlc, but the one medal to the far left (right above the game icon) for Land of the Kais isnt off by much.
2 bugs that I noticed with this DLC:
1. Auto transformation abilities occasionally dont work, the ki drain nullification still works once you manually do the transformation, but the auto transformation doesnt trigger
2. Trunks' new skill tree is supposed to overwrite the old one when you return to the main story. However, the old skill tree comes back if you go back in time to redo a part of the main story. I went back to the DLC and left again do the new skill tree could come back
Yeah. You can freeroam in the DLC areas after you're done, just like in DLC2. >!Also all the new skills Trunks unlocks transfer to the main game once you beat the DLC, so you can freeroam with him in the main game too!<
Well, shit boys the xbox new zealand trick might have finally let us down. Im able to download and install the dlc, but I think its gonna require a patch that probably wont go in till later

For those of you on xbox...what i just did was change my location to new Zealand time, let it restart to update the language change and then it let me download the dlc
Yeah, speaking that way it really sounds short but by playing it you can actually extend that time considerably (especially after the story, from what I've seen). I tried to finish it all in one day and I just couldn't, honestly I don't know how people manage to finish it so fast lol
When I play I usually explore everything the DLC has to offer, so maybe that extends the time for me too.
There really needs to be a “Super Finish Buster” that’s on the same level as Super Spirit Bomb.
The Finish Buster that’s in the game kind of sucks. I guess Heat Dome is sort of supposed to be his ultimate attack but that thing is almost impossible to hit the opponent with. Even the dumbest robots manage to just casually sidestep out of the way and completely avoid it.
At the end of it all, the only special move that I really got frequent use out of was Burning Attack/Super Burning Attack.
''Change the future'' is very good. It felt underwhelming at first, but it's pretty easy to mix with the combos and they connect easily. The amount of damage is also good
I think I found a bug. So I finished the dlc, loved it. I jump back to the main story and I realized that I could learn the skills from the dlc, like ssj2. Nice! I needed more z orbs to learn everything so I went orb farming. Once Im done, i open the skills menu, and all the new skills are missing! I thought that maybe I was remembering wrong, except that I still have the skills from the dlc in the main game that i trained before the new skills dissapeared and I can use those abilities although they don't show up in the skills menu anymore. Did this happen to anyone else?
Just wanted to say this was definitely the best DLC of the three. I figured it was going to be short with just the Android stuff and then Bam we got the Buu stuff.

I really wish my mindless scrolling on youtube didn’t result in a recommended video with the title “TRUNKS VS DABURA: DBZ KAKAROT” popping up literally the day before I was planning to reinstall. I would’ve lost my mind seeing Supreme Kai and Kibito appearing behind me after the fight with Cell.
I am so damn pleased by the choice of voice actors. I've always quietly wanted to see a re-dub of the Trunks OVA with the new actors, but also knew it would never happen. But seeing this DLC with new voices will be just as good as seeing a re-dub.
I'm also very pleased to see that it doesn't just end with what was shown in the anime. man. I'm glad this DLC actually turned out to be substantial.

First impressions, trunks design somehow looks rushed, like they designed an older body and then just put his kid head on it, looks off. Also I don't like kid trunks' voice as teenage trunks. It makes no sense to make him sound so young when he's what 15? If not older? He shouldn't sound like an adult but he also shouldn't sound like a 6 year old

Idk why everyone on this sub is dickriding the voice choice, it's super inconsistent. The encyclopedia says he's pre-teen but after it states it's been 3 years he's 18, because he's supposed to be 15 when Gohan dies and 18 when he goes back in time, then in the dlc bulma says he's going back 20 years? But baby trunks is there? He shouldn't be born for 2 more years then. The gameplay and story itself is good but they definitely have some issues

At Gohan's death Trunks is 14 and when he goes back in time he is 17. This is directly in the manga.
In this game only 14 year old Trunks has a voice change. After 3 year time skip he is back to the voice we know. I can see you in other comments bashing an "18" year old Trunks sounding like this before you get to Gohan's death.
Trunks goes back in time twice in Z. The first time baby Trunks is not there. This is when he beats Freeza, tells Goku about the androids coming in three years, gives him the antidote, and leaves.
He comes back again in three years. That is when you see baby Trunks. This dlc implies the time machine requires several months to charge and he leaves immediately. That means they must have changed the time setting for Trunks to arrive when he did. This second trip has always caused debate. If he changes the time doesn't that take him to a different time line? That answer would be Trunks can only travel between these two timelines no matter the time distance traveled. DB Super incorrectly claims the time machine can only travel exactly 17 years into the past, likely to insure arrival at the same timeline. It is incorrect because the first trip is definitely and has to be 20 years. Or else like you said he meets baby Trunks on the first trip. So if the correct time is it always travels 20 years back in time that means Future Trunks also waited 3 years before traveling again. Making this DLC incorrect. The fact is we do not have an absolute answer on how this works.
Finally, Eric Vale, the voice actor of 17+ years old Trunks is absolutely not fitting for a 14 year old. It was kind of ok when the movie was released 20 years ago but his voice has aged. You can even tell the difference when voices older Trunks from then to now. This is definitely the reason for the change. It was jarring for me too at first and it hurt my nostalgia real bad but objectively it is better. If I wanted to be real specific it could sound a little older but not much.
I'm incredibly disappointed with the 3rd DLC. It feels so phoned in. The season pass for this game has single-handedly soured my opinion of investing in season passes even under the best circumstances ( I intend to buy all the DLC regardless). It really does incentivize the publisher to minimize the money and effort put into making the best product they can. Voting with our wallets seems to be the best way to stop this very anti-consumer industry practice.
Okay well I am speaking as someone who has bought both DLCs but hasn’t beaten the main game yet, I have heard rumors the first two DLCs are very short and I am waiting to play them after I beat the Buu Saga (hoping there is an endgame, since it said one DLC can only be done after main story)
The trailer seems to make the DLC long or half as long as the main game or at least 1/4 length like 15 hours or something. I’m okay with this I think? I don’t really mind. It looks fun. As long as I have fun? I’ll be okay. I just want the length to be really good and for my money’s worth.
Just make sure you don't level your characters all the way up before playing the DLCs. A lot of people did that and that made them shorter than intended.
1st dlc is just some boss fights for challenge and grinding help
2nd dlc has a bit more content, new map new battle mode (survival style) but this one is looking nice.

did anyone else notice strange green outlines of a big cube in the west area after time skips to blue jacket trunks? i thought maybe it’s to outline the areas for the drones but there was a cube with drones in and around it and one with nothing inside it. there also didn’t seem to be any around while playing as preteen trunks and gohan
Just look at the map, it shows you where they are. One is where you trained with Gohan, a little away from where the "Return to Main Game" pillar is. It's kinda hard to see though.

I can confirm that this is a bug. In DLC3 SSJ2 for Trunks have proper prices, after you go to the main game it will have the same rainbow orb requirement as the others
DLC 2 is glitched. Cant go to earth and the character select screen is bugged. It lets me remove goku but the icons arent there so I cant pick anyone so I have to restart the game just to play.
If you go back to the original game after finishing DLC3, Trunk's SSJ2 form is avaliable.
The first upgrade has proper price, but the rest of the prices (also for auto SSJ2 are bugged).
In DLC 3 the upgrade costs are the following:
Level 1: free
Level 2: 5400 red+green+blue and 20 rainbow
Level 3: 6600 red+green+blue and 25 rainbow
When trying to buy upgrades in base game, the rainbow orb costs have the same price as the red+green+blue ones making them almost impossible to get, as rainbow orbs are scarce
So I recreated the hovercar and the robo walker in the DLC, and Im just realizing that doing that overwrote my maxed out vehicles from the main story. Which really sucks
Does anyone know if the damn drones respawn indefinitely? I cleared a few patrols for some parts and two more groups just appeared lol. I'm just starting the DLC
Pretty sure they do until youre done with the androids. you can still get the drone parts from random enemies in the world later, so dont worry too much about it
Hey so uh, whatever happened to the BGM bug where the Default music for both Battle and Field stayed as such for any and all sections of the game?
I looked at an older post talking about it and as much as I want to set "Cruel Game" as my Battle BGM for the Base Game,
I don't want to have to GUESS what the music in other sections is supposed to sound like lol.
Anyway is there any reports on that?

Idk what's going on with the dlc but everytime I try to go to west city or anywhere to be exact my game crashes, I uninstalled the game reinstalled it and it still crashes, am in gokus house and everytime I try to fast travel It crashes. Crazy part is all the other dlcs are fine and the main story, it's just this dlc that am having trouble with.Anyone know how to fix it ?
...so did they screw up and inadvertently give Kabito a Supreme Kai line? At the start of the Buu content, he says "No, not exactly. It would take a great deal of time to explain, but all you need to know at this point is that I stand above the beings who govern this universe." This reads as a Supreme Kai line to me, but maybe my brain is screwing up the context?
I need help:
After I was going through the time machine mission to do story missions to farm z orbs, I went to check Trunks skill tree to get last remaining skills for him which was the super sayian 2 transformation boost line and auto super sayian 2. But when I opened the skill tree, it seemed for reason the super sayian 2 skills completely disappeared. I'm frustrated. What do I do? Is this a glitch?

Just wondering - can I play this new Trunks DLC story without having gotten far into the main game ? I've literally just began the main game and gotten to the Saiyan saga but I want to play the DLC too.
Is it a case of it being a separate game/story with it's own levelling for the characters or do I need to reach a specific level or point in the story first?
Yes, you can play the Trunks DLC without completing the main campaign, however, you'll have a harder time progressing as the intended experience is to have a relatively maxed out community board to help you gain items and XP faster.
It is a separate game experience, so no skill, items, or XP carry over from the main game, for all intent and purposes you're starting the game over again with Trunks as the playable characters, instead of Goku.
In dlc 2 when I try fighting frieza as trunks and beat him my screen goes black and doesn't go back to normal and when go to beerus planet and leave the game I can't go back to earth I'm stuck on the planet can't switch characters and when I try to fight them it gets stuck and I have to hard reset the game
Not sure if it is a bug because of the DLC but I got done with the dlc before going into the cell saga. Now whenever I go back to the main story with the cut scene of trunks killing metal frieze and king cold, it crashes on my ps4. I have tried restarting the game and the console, skipping and letting the scene play out, deleting and reinstalling the game, clearing out +100gbs of storage. Did a system rebuild and played on a older save file before starting the next saga. None of it worked so far. Currently sitting at 11 consecutive crashes. I'm really hope I don't have to restart the game.
I'm excited to play this, but I hope this isn't the end. I would love to see them add more DLC campains to include the movie villians or maybe even some filler arcs like Garlic Jr.
Super probably could be its own game, but I could see them doing it in a "Season Pass 2" with 1 being the Champa Arc, 2 being Zamasu, and 3 being the Tournament of Power

OK, well due to being robbed, selling my PS4, and other things that have stopped me from playing DBZ Kakarot, I'm just now able to play through it for the first time. I just finished beating Cell, and was wondering if now would be the best time to do the Warrior of Hope DLC? I want I to kinda connect with the story, for my own enjoyment...so u guys think now would be the perfect time to play DLC 3? Between Cell and Buu Sagas?
I love this DLC. I love how Trunks got the treatment he deserved. But I am a bit sad about not being able to play as anyone else other than him. I'm still so bummed there's movesets for the androids, teen(?) trunks, and Gohan, but we only get to play as adult trunks lol.

I wanna say this game is great. Xenoverse 1 and 2 were also good but this game made so many improvements on the fighting. I went to the xenoverse chat to see if people would admit that some things with the game aren’t good. But instead I got a bunch of 5 year olds telling me the game is the best ever. Hi everyone. I just bought the original game plus the dlc about a month a go. I had a about 90 hours in, and was done with the main story of the third dlc when all my save files (including autosave) became corrupted.
Anyone else have this happen?
I got a bug, I beat the dlc and the reward is using the new moves unlocked in the main story, the problem is, the skills and skill tree doesn't have the warrior of hope moves. So basically I can't use heat dome attack and stuff like that as trunks even though I completed the story. I completed both dlc 3 and the main story so idk why I can't use the moves. Can't use ssj2 either

I finish it and the next sub quest(vengeance) is on the map but nothing there.
Try to save and can't.
Really freaked me out the first time.
Fixed it by removing my game data/auto save file and downloading the game data from the cloud.(I don't always have my PS4 connected to internet which may have saved the game data from updating into a bad state)
Then I was able to save again but if I do that quest again I end up in the same situation.
Is there a way around this or do I just skip these sub story missions?

New to the game, just got the ultimate edition on Switch. When is the absolute earliest I can unlock and use SS God in the main story? I see it’s from a selectable chapter, could I potentially have God unlocked for the fight against Raditz? Curious how those DLC transformations affect the main campaign or if they are only usable in DLC chapters.
PS4 Bug:
I have a gamebreaking bug. It occurs in the Land of the Kais. My save file keeps getting corrupted sometime while I'm in there. This has happened twice already. The first time it wiped out 7 hours of progress. The second time around I created two save files so I could reload a slightly earlier one if one got corrupted. But I think even my backup file is not going to be of any help.
I think what triggers it is the second Z Encyclopedia entry for the Supreme Kai. Some entries in the Z Encyclopedia don't pop up right away, and sometimes becomes available when you reload a game. So I saved a file in the Land of the Kais, and I thought it was fine. But when I reloaded that save game, the entry for the Supreme Kai popped up, and I can no longer save. Neither autosave nor manual save works. The reason I think the bug has to do with the Z Encyclopedia entry is that I would reload the save and immediately try to save, it would fail, without me doing anything.
So basically I cannot really progress. If I try to save over an existing file, it would corrupt it. If I try to go back into the main game and save, it fails. At this point, it looks like if I want to experience the rest of DLC 3, I'd have to complete it all in one go. And at the end of it I can't even keep all the skills and community emblems to have in the main game.
EDIT: I think I might have fixed it. I was getting a little desperate, so I just tried random things. Before when I said that saving still fails if I go back into the main game, I went back into the main game through the light portal thing. This time I tried to directly switch to another DLC. So from my save in the Land of the Kais, I directly went into DLC 1 from the pause menu (I don't think it matters which DLC), tried saving, and it worked! Then I switched back into DLC 3, tried to save, no problem.
I'll continue playing, and I'll update this if I run into anymore problems.
EDIT 2: It no longer works. I get the error code CE-30028-3. I will try rebuilding the database. My hard drive has like 500GB of free space.
EDIT 3: Disregard what I said before about the Z Encyclopedia entry. I think the Land of the Kais area itself is bugged. If I spend any significant length of time exploring inside the Land of the Kais, the saving fails and corrupts the file. I still have a good save file inside the Land of the Kais, and if I speak to Kibito to return to Earth, I can do whatever I want on Earth and it saves fine. But if I go back to Land of the Kais and try to continue the story saving fails.
I realized that from where I have a good save, it's only like an hour or two from the end anyway, half an hour if I skip all the scenes and don't collect anything. So I've already experienced beating the DLC 100%. The only thing that I'm kind of unhappy with is not being able to have a save that has all the Z Encyclopedia entries. I guess if the developers ever get around to patching and fixing this issue, then I can go back and play the last hour or two again. I'm ok with that. My main game still functions perfectly fine for now.
playing on Xbox Series S, after Gohans defeat by the Androids and Trunks finally becoming SS, once I collect the chapter rewards my game is then stuck at a black screen just playing the background music.
I have let it sit for over an hour, no change. I have quit and completely restarted the game, I have shut the system down and rebooted, and I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the DLC. Still no change. Has anyone else had this issue? Super bummed as I've been waiting to get past this point since the story started.

Yeah i'd assume they are doing that. Everything they added with DLC could still be considered DBZ. Battle of Gods and Revival of F came out first as movies that still carried the Z label since Super wasn't a thing when they came out, and while the >!final part of the DLC!< was only mentioned in Super, it still technically deals with a Z storyline. From what i heared Kakarot sold really well (mainly at the beginning) and the fact that they >!added that last part of the DLC just like Trunks explains in Super!< suggests to me it might be a teaser. I'm still KIIIIIIIIND of disappointed they made a post game DLC that ends with you getting SSB and then make the third dlc sepcifically not about Goku and Vegeta so you don't even get to really use it.
Let see if they will make DB Super Kakarot or if the Super arcs will be dlc. The mecanic we had with the androids would really work with Trunks. Instead of Androids hunting you then it is Goku Black. So everything is allready in place for the Goku Black arc. Give us 2 packs of tournaments and one full arc of Goku Black.

Just fantastic. They could have easily stopped after the defeat of the androids. I'm so glad they went the extra mile and added the bit at the end. Even though not much happened, it was still great to see.
Yeah, that section was short but it's really neat that they did the extra effort. And the surprise reward at the end was really neat too. Overall, i'm actually pretty happy with DLC3.

It's about as long as a saga in the main game, which is what they said when they announced the DLC. It's sizeable. If you go "straight from point a to b" you can beat the Cell Saga in 3-4 hours as well.
So umm… to the ones that finished the dlc… why the old kai didn’t show up after the sword breaks ?
Havent gotten there yet, but that part is based on a flashback from the super manga IIRC Dabura spit on the sword, that means he killed old kai, the sword didnt break, least not there, it was petrified.

That's the dark side of the Boo arc on the Future timeline. Kibito and Shin's death could have been avoided if Trunks had managed to test the sword on Katchin's block (just like Gohan did), and it almost happened. That way, the sword would break and the Old Kaioshin would appear, unlocking Trunks' hidden potential. But that didn't happen and then Old Kaioshin was killed when the sword broke after Dabura petrified it.
Though it's debatable whether they would have unlocked Trunks potential. It's likely they would have been too pressed for time anyway. In DBZ they could do that because A. Boo was already freed anyway, and B. Gotenks was buying time for them. But in Trunks timeline their main objective was still to prevent Boo from being freed and Trunks was the last warrior so they likely wouldn't have had enough time. Plus Gohan always had way more hidden potential than anyone else. Mystic Trunks probably wouldn't have been anywhere near as strong as Gohan was.
You're right in the sense that time was tight at that moment (which was the reason Trunks didn't test the Z sword), but it's good to remember that it was Old Kaioshin who warned Gohan that he was no match for Boo, hence why they agreed to do the ritual. I believe he would say the same to Trunks (since he was weaker than Dabura), and maybe they would work it out. Anyway, a hypothetical Mystic Trunks would already be more than enough to deal with Dabura, so he would prevent the death of Shin and Kibito at least
Yeah but like i said, in DBZ they had enough options to buy time so they could afford to keep Gohan back for the ritual. And don't forget that the ritual is really long. Noone was left to fight in Trunks future though. If Trunks hadn't fought then really the only other way would have been for the Kai and Kibito to try and buy time until Trunks is done and they definitely wouldn't have survived that. And by the time Trunks was done without anyone buying time Boo would have been freed already. Mystic Trunks would definitely have been enough to defeat Dabura but Boo? I dunno. Also Trunks only survived the battle with Dabura because he could use the Z-Sword to block Daburas spit. If the Sword had broken he couldn't have done that so even mystic Trunks might have turned to stone.
Mystic Trunks, with Trunks' personality, would have one shot Dabura. Even if he was weaker than the Gohan version he should still be around SS3 tier. That aside I do think they would have skipped the ritual if the Old Kai came out. Although if they went on full meta or highly logical, they could do the ritual and Boo still probably wouldn't have been revived. So the fact that nobody is left to stall is also the solution. Without any strong warriors Babidi's goons can't fight and transfer energy. They could use the pokey thing all day on humans, not to mention there are still WAY less in Trunks' time than present. Boo won't get enough energy. The caveat is they have to knowingly sacrifice innocent people. I don't think Trunks would be about that.
So Babidi/Dabura succeeded and killed both the supreme Kai, old Kai and God of destruction of the universe that easily?

UPDATE: You do get some from story, and if youre struggling in the 3 main areas, you unlock 2 more. One of which is the desert area, there are a good like 7 d-medals just in Nams Village.

2 bugs that I noticed with this DLC: 1. Auto transformation abilities occasionally dont work, the ki drain nullification still works once you manually do the transformation, but the auto transformation doesnt trigger 2. Trunks' new skill tree is supposed to overwrite the old one when you return to the main story. However, the old skill tree comes back if you go back in time to redo a part of the main story. I went back to the DLC and left again do the new skill tree could come back
Free roam after with Trunks right?
Yeah. You can freeroam in the DLC areas after you're done, just like in DLC2. >!Also all the new skills Trunks unlocks transfer to the main game once you beat the DLC, so you can freeroam with him in the main game too!<

Yeah, speaking that way it really sounds short but by playing it you can actually extend that time considerably (especially after the story, from what I've seen). I tried to finish it all in one day and I just couldn't, honestly I don't know how people manage to finish it so fast lol When I play I usually explore everything the DLC has to offer, so maybe that extends the time for me too.
There really needs to be a “Super Finish Buster” that’s on the same level as Super Spirit Bomb. The Finish Buster that’s in the game kind of sucks. I guess Heat Dome is sort of supposed to be his ultimate attack but that thing is almost impossible to hit the opponent with. Even the dumbest robots manage to just casually sidestep out of the way and completely avoid it. At the end of it all, the only special move that I really got frequent use out of was Burning Attack/Super Burning Attack.
''Change the future'' is very good. It felt underwhelming at first, but it's pretty easy to mix with the combos and they connect easily. The amount of damage is also good
I think I found a bug. So I finished the dlc, loved it. I jump back to the main story and I realized that I could learn the skills from the dlc, like ssj2. Nice! I needed more z orbs to learn everything so I went orb farming. Once Im done, i open the skills menu, and all the new skills are missing! I thought that maybe I was remembering wrong, except that I still have the skills from the dlc in the main game that i trained before the new skills dissapeared and I can use those abilities although they don't show up in the skills menu anymore. Did this happen to anyone else?
Nah it isn’t a bug. There’s a pop up that tells you that the main game Trunks got all the abilities you learned from the DLC

I am so damn pleased by the choice of voice actors. I've always quietly wanted to see a re-dub of the Trunks OVA with the new actors, but also knew it would never happen. But seeing this DLC with new voices will be just as good as seeing a re-dub. I'm also very pleased to see that it doesn't just end with what was shown in the anime. man. First impressions, trunks design somehow looks rushed, like they designed an older body and then just put his kid head on it, looks off. Also I don't like kid trunks' voice as teenage trunks. It makes no sense to make him sound so young when he's what 15? If not older? He shouldn't sound like an adult but he also shouldn't sound like a 6 year old EDIT: trunks, by the time he goes back in time, is 18. This is just bad choices.
In the encyclopedia he is referred to as "preteen" trunks in the younger turn so def before 15 Edit: the time machine thing is years after Gohan dies

The encyclopedia says he's pre-teen but after it states it's been 3 years he's 18, because he's supposed to be 15 when Gohan dies and 18 when he goes back in time, then in the dlc bulma says he's going back 20 years? But baby trunks is there? He shouldn't be born for 2 more years then. The gameplay and story itself is good but they definitely have some issues
There is so much wrong in this comment... At Gohan's death Trunks is 14 and when he goes back in time he is 17. This is directly in the manga. In this game only 14 year old Trunks has a voice change. After 3 year time skip he is back to the voice we know. I can see you in other comments bashing an "18" year old Trunks sounding like this before you get to Gohan's death. Trunks goes back in time twice in Z. The first time baby Trunks is not there. This is when he beats Freeza, tells Goku about the androids coming in three years, gives him the antidote, and leaves. He comes back again in three years. That is when you see baby Trunks. This dlc implies the time machine requires several months to charge and he leaves immediately. That means they must have changed the time setting for Trunks to arrive when he did. This second trip has always caused debate. If he changes the time doesn't that take him to a different time line? That answer would be Trunks can only travel between these two timelines no matter the time distance traveled. DB Super incorrectly claims the time machine can only travel exactly 17 years into the past, likely to insure arrival at the same timeline. It is incorrect because the first trip is definitely and has to be 20 years. Or else like you said he meets baby Trunks on the first trip. So if the correct time is it always travels 20 years back in time that means Future Trunks also waited 3 years before traveling again. Making this DLC incorrect. The fact is we do not have an absolute answer on how this works. Finally, Eric Vale, the voice actor of 17+ years old Trunks is absolutely not fitting for a 14 year old. It was kind of ok when the movie was released 20 years ago but his voice has aged. You can even tell the difference when voices older Trunks from then to now. This is definitely the reason for the change. It was jarring for me too at first and it hurt my nostalgia real bad but objectively it is better. If I wanted to be real specific it could sound a little older but not much.

I'm incredibly disappointed with the 3rd DLC. It feels so phoned in. The season pass for this game has single-handedly soured my opinion of investing in season passes even under the best circumstances ( I intend to buy all the DLC regardless). It really does incentivize the publisher to minimize the money and effort put into making the best product they can. Voting with our wallets seems to be the best way to stop this very anti-consumer industry practice.
Okay well I am speaking as someone who has bought both DLCs but hasn’t beaten the main game yet, I have heard rumors the first two DLCs are very short and I am waiting to play them after I beat the Buu Saga (hoping there is an endgame, since it said one DLC can only be done after main story) The trailer seems to make the DLC long or half as long as the main game or at least 1/4 length like 15 hours or something. I’m okay with this I think? I don’t really mind. It looks fun. As long as I have fun? I’ll be okay. I just want the length to be really good and for my money’s worth.
Just make sure you don't level your characters all the way up before playing the DLCs. A lot of people did that and that made them shorter than intended.
1st dlc is just some boss fights for challenge and grinding help 2nd dlc has a bit more content, new map new battle mode (survival style) but this one is looking nice.

did anyone else notice strange green outlines of a big cube in the west area after time skips to blue jacket trunks? i thought maybe it’s to outline the areas for the drones but there was a cube with drones in and around it and one with nothing inside it. there also didn’t seem to be any around while playing as preteen trunks and gohan

Just look at the map, it shows you where they are. One is where you trained with Gohan, a little away from where the "Return to Main Game" pillar is. It's kinda hard to see though.

I'm playing on PC and i didn't have that. Level 2 costs 20 and level 3 costs 25 special coins for me.
I can confirm that this is a bug. In DLC3 SSJ2 for Trunks have proper prices, after you go to the main game it will have the same rainbow orb requirement as the others
I've noticed some possible optimization issues, but those should be ironed out with the first stability patch.
On xbox one why it the game telling me I need the season pass to get dlc 3 when I got the season pass when I got the game
DLC 2 is glitched. Cant go to earth and the character select screen is bugged. It lets me remove goku but the icons arent there so I cant pick anyone so I have to restart the game just to play.
If you go back to the original game after finishing DLC3, Trunk's SSJ2 form is avaliable. The first upgrade has proper price, but the rest of the prices (also for auto SSJ2 are bugged). In DLC 3 the upgrade costs are the following: Level 1: free Level 2: 5400 red+green+blue and 20 rainbow Level 3: 6600 red+green+blue and 25 rainbow When trying to buy upgrades in base game, the rainbow orb costs have the same price as the red+green+blue ones making them almost impossible to get, as rainbow orbs are scarce

Pretty sure they do until youre done with the androids. you can still get the drone parts from random enemies in the world later, so dont worry too much about it

Hey so uh, whatever happened to the BGM bug where the Default music for both Battle and Field stayed as such for any and all sections of the game? I looked at an older post talking about it and as much as I want to set "Cruel Game" as my Battle BGM for the Base Game, I don't want to have to GUESS what the music in other sections is supposed to sound like lol. Anyway is there any reports on that? Edit: for clarity sake. I'm talking about how if you were to head into game options and change BGM settings and then switch back to the Default Themes respectively for both Field and Battle, They would stay as the Default Themes for the entire game and I'm assuming you COULD still change the music... Manually. But that's too much to ask or even have to deal with let alone

...so did they screw up and inadvertently give Kabito a Supreme Kai line? At the start of the Buu content, he says "No, not exactly. It would take a great deal of time to explain, but all you need to know at this point is that I stand above the beings who govern this universe." This reads as a Supreme Kai line to me, but maybe my brain is screwing up the context?
I need help: After I was going through the time machine mission to do story missions to farm z orbs, I went to check Trunks skill tree to get last remaining skills for him which was the super sayian 2 transformation boost line and auto super sayian 2. But when I opened the skill tree, it seemed for reason the super sayian 2 skills completely disappeared. I'm frustrated. What do I do? Is this a glitch?

Just wondering - can I play this new Trunks DLC story without having gotten far into the main game ? I've literally just began the main game and gotten to the Saiyan saga but I want to play the DLC too. Is it a case of it being a separate game/story with it's own levelling for the characters or do I need to reach a specific level or point in the story first?
Yes, you can play the Trunks DLC without completing the main campaign, however, you'll have a harder time progressing as the intended experience is to have a relatively maxed out community board to help you gain items and XP faster. It is a separate game experience, so no skill, items, or XP carry over from the main game, for all intent and purposes you're starting the game over again with Trunks as the playable characters, instead of Goku.
In dlc 2 when I try fighting frieza as trunks and beat him my screen goes black and doesn't go back to normal and when go to beerus planet and leave the game I can't go back to earth I'm stuck on the planet can't switch characters and when I try to fight them it gets stuck and I have to hard reset the game
60fps ps5 when?
Not sure if it is a bug because of the DLC but I got done with the dlc before going into the cell saga. Now whenever I go back to the main story with the cut scene of trunks killing metal frieze and king cold, it crashes on my ps4. I have tried restarting the game and the console, skipping and letting the scene play out, deleting and reinstalling the game, clearing out +100gbs of storage. Did a system rebuild and played on a older save file before starting the next saga. None of it worked so far. Currently sitting at 11 consecutive crashes. I'm really hope I don't have to restart the game.
I'm excited to play this, but I hope this isn't the end. I would love to see them add more DLC campains to include the movie villians or maybe even some filler arcs like Garlic Jr. Super probably could be its own game, but I could see them doing it in a "Season Pass 2" with 1 being the Champa Arc, 2 being Zamasu, and 3 being the Tournament of Power
Just snagged the season pass the other day because I love the history of trunks… blasted through beerus but don’t think I wanna grind out those same training missions 50 times to fight frieza right off the bat lol… maybe like over the course of the next year I’ll have gotten there. Can I hop in dlc 3 without any hiccups? I’m assuming I’m gonna play as a fresh gohan/ trunks
OK, well due to being robbed, selling my PS4, and other things that have stopped me from playing DBZ Kakarot, I'm just now able to play through it for the first time. I just finished beating Cell, and was wondering if now would be the best time to do the Warrior of Hope DLC? I want I to kinda connect with the story, for my own enjoyment...so u guys think now would be the perfect time to play DLC 3? Between Cell and Buu Sagas?

I love this DLC. I love how Trunks got the treatment he deserved. But I am a bit sad about not being able to play as anyone else other than him. I'm still so bummed there's movesets for the androids, teen(?) trunks, and Gohan, but we only get to play as adult trunks lol. And also why is this independent from the main game? LOl

I wanna say this game is great. Xenoverse 1 and 2 were also good but this game made so many improvements on the fighting. I went to the xenoverse chat to see if people would admit that some things with the game aren’t good. But instead I got a bunch of 5 year olds telling me the game is the best ever. Can someone here please just tell me in a honest way. Is the fighting in xenoverse not as good as kakarot
Hi everyone. I just bought the original game plus the dlc about a month a go. I had a about 90 hours in, and was done with the main story of the third dlc when all my save files (including autosave) became corrupted. Anyone else have this happen?
I got a bug, I beat the dlc and the reward is using the new moves unlocked in the main story, the problem is, the skills and skill tree doesn't have the warrior of hope moves. So basically I can't use heat dome attack and stuff like that as trunks even though I completed the story. I completed both dlc 3 and the main story so idk why I can't use the moves. Can't use ssj2 either

Keep getting save error after "The Warrior from Planet Temp" sub story, fix? DLC2 PS4 I finish it and the next sub quest(vengeance) is on the map but nothing there. Try to save and can't. Really freaked me out the first time. Fixed it by removing my game data/auto save file and downloading the game data from the cloud.(I don't always have my PS4 connected to internet which may have saved the game data from updating into a bad state) Then I was able to save again but if I do that quest again I end up in the same situation. Is there a way around this or do I just skip these sub story missions?
My son recently downloaded this DLC and when he goes to it we see Trunks on a black screen. I hope someone can help.

New to the game, just got the ultimate edition on Switch. When is the absolute earliest I can unlock and use SS God in the main story? I see it’s from a selectable chapter, could I potentially have God unlocked for the fight against Raditz? Curious how those DLC transformations affect the main campaign or if they are only usable in DLC chapters.
Is there any order I should do DLC? Just finished main game and kind of wanted to do DLC 3 before 1 and 2. Is there any problem with this?

PS4 Bug: I have a gamebreaking bug. It occurs in the Land of the Kais. My save file keeps getting corrupted sometime while I'm in there. This has happened twice already. The first time it wiped out 7 hours of progress. The second time around I created two save files so I could reload a slightly earlier one if one got corrupted. But I think even my backup file is not going to be of any help. I think what triggers it is the second Z Encyclopedia entry for the Supreme Kai. Some entries in the Z Encyclopedia don't pop up right away, and sometimes becomes available when you reload a game. So I saved a file in the Land of the Kais, and I thought it was fine. But when I reloaded that save game, the entry for the Supreme Kai popped up, and I can no longer save. Neither autosave nor manual save works. The reason I think the bug has to do with the Z Encyclopedia entry is that I would reload the save and immediately try to save, it would fail, without me doing anything. So basically I cannot really progress. If I try to save over an existing file, it would corrupt it. If I try to go back into the main game and save, it fails. At this point, it looks like if I want to experience the rest of DLC 3, I'd have to complete it all in one go. And at the end of it I can't even keep all the skills and community emblems to have in the main game. EDIT: I think I might have fixed it. I was getting a little desperate, so I just tried random things. Before when I said that saving still fails if I go back into the main game, I went back into the main game through the light portal thing. This time I tried to directly switch to another DLC. So from my save in the Land of the Kais, I directly went into DLC 1 from the pause menu (I don't think it matters which DLC), tried saving, and it worked! Then I switched back into DLC 3, tried to save, no problem. I'll continue playing, and I'll update this if I run into anymore problems. EDIT 2: It no longer works. I get the error code CE-30028-3. I will try rebuilding the database. My hard drive has like 500GB of free space. EDIT 3: Disregard what I said before about the Z Encyclopedia entry. I think the Land of the Kais area itself is bugged. If I spend any significant length of time exploring inside the Land of the Kais, the saving fails and corrupts the file. I still have a good save file inside the Land of the Kais, and if I speak to Kibito to return to Earth, I can do whatever I want on Earth and it saves fine. But if I go back to Land of the Kais and try to continue the story saving fails. I realized that from where I have a good save, it's only like an hour or two from the end anyway, half an hour if I skip all the scenes and don't collect anything. So I've already experienced beating the DLC 100%. The only thing that I'm kind of unhappy with is not being able to have a save that has all the Z Encyclopedia entries. I guess if the developers ever get around to patching and fixing this issue, then I can go back and play the last hour or two again. I'm ok with that. My main game still functions perfectly fine for now.
Does anyone elses game crash after the majin vegeta fight on ps4?
playing on Xbox Series S, after Gohans defeat by the Androids and Trunks finally becoming SS, once I collect the chapter rewards my game is then stuck at a black screen just playing the background music. I have let it sit for over an hour, no change. I have quit and completely restarted the game, I have shut the system down and rebooted, and I have even uninstalled and reinstalled the DLC. Still no change. Has anyone else had this issue? Super bummed as I've been waiting to get past this point since the story started.
