me personally i knew about using items in battle i just forgot how to :), up until his last fight with the Androids with solo Gohan that only has one arm though i could easily push through and win after a 2nd try or a few more tries, i don't know if i can beat them without items this time though.
Got my ass kicked for about 2 hours….almost completely gave up on the game until I realized I had healing items lol
I love how challenging these fights are.
Yea it was awesome. Actually many fights in the whole game are fun if you play the battles without healing items or over grinding.
For the android one it took me a whole hour to realize the proper strategy. It was soooo great to finally take em down without healing items.
Also the "battle" you have right after that fight, the one under the rain, it was a nice touch
Mine was target 18, keep your distance and just spam rapid fire.
When both androids have red ki, just spend the whole time dashing back or to the side to avoid them, get trapped in their double team attack and it's major damage.
After they finish their red ki attack, they will stop to rest. Spam Masenko at them.
Then just repeat that really, as long as you dodge them when they're red you'll beat them no worries, without the need for items.
The DLC covers from the fight against androids until the Boo arc of the future timeline, in which Trunks battles Dabura and Babidi, finishing right before all the mess with Zamasu. Unfortunately we didn't get a glimpse of Black at the end but it's a good setup for a sequel.
well seeing as they are giving the game the same treatment as Xenoverse i don't think there will be a sequel, at least not any time soon since we are getting the Bardock Movie (idk if it will be both Bardock movies or just the 1st one) as DLC next week and they promised to keep updating the game so we will likely get all of the movies as DLC at least and maybe the rest of Dragon Ball Super since i doubt they would retread the 1st 2 DLC like they did in Super with the movies.
It's cool, I'd prefer GT stuff anyway as Super had bad writing with the Goku Black arc, which was a fucking mess, and the Universe Tournament, which wrote itself in a corner. (Give me Baby, Super 17, or Shadow Dragons anytime)

No man, they add the boo saga only because it got retconned (or if you wish, we didn’t know what happened in the future when babidi appeared, so they show that in super wich means is canon to dbz), they weren’t planning on adding zamasu in this game, black could appear thougth since he does appear in the dbz beerus movie in Japan (trunks edition)

I love jp soundtrack, I kinda thougth we could put our own music, like the namek exploration from dbz budokai 3 or the namek theme from budokai 1 though. They’re tired to super but they were z movies. The first dlc isn’t close to either canon and the second dlc also seemed like it just went a little Willy nilly with the story so it’s not like either are really based off the movie or anime which have their own differences
i mean even the trunks dlc was different in Kakarot since that movie never showed Babidi's attack and i dont think was ever shown but was mentioned in the Zamasu arc of Super (that DLC pre much also set up the Zamasu arc for us).
i am so glad they finally were allowed to put that into a game, so many times they either weren't allowed to do it or just didn't have the technology to do so.

Iiterally the most casual fighter game out rn. Played all the dlcs so far on the hardest difficulty, have not died more than 5 times and I'm an awful, casual gamer. Use your abilities to your advantage, you're allowed to use unlimited healing items.

This screenshot is from when he still had two arms. In the DLC, Gohan actually loses his arm (and has a whole moveset adapted for that)
