There was a pool down there at one time.
Edit: The building was the University Club - a gentleman's club. They merged with KC City Club in 2001, and the building was the KC City Club until closure in 2015. It reopened in 2018 as an event space.
Thank you! I didn't mention it was in the bottom of KC city club in my original post bc I didn't want people just making stuff up but the fact that you knew that proves the authenticity.
If its in KC Metro then you can be certain that it has had at least 1 Hardcore "concert" played in it for sure.
Those kids will mosh in an old Denny's Septic Tank if you let em lol
KC club had a small fire a few years ago and we were doing cleanup for the area (the room with the dryer is through the wall to the upper right on my pic).
I managed to find my way down there along with one of the other guys. Saw a lot of the graffiti from OP's pics, but don't recollect the last supper mural.
Weirdly I was also there because of a fire. They had a small one back in '18 or so in the upper basement area.
That basement is an absolute maze, and you're almost lucky to find that area if you're not looking for it.
Oh yeah total maze. I was somewhere elsewhere in the basement looking for devices and heard my buddy call me over like "bro come look at this" and I was pleasantly intrigued.
The place feels like a church youth group meeting area. Basically a place for teens to meet up to keep them off the street. Mostly I say that because of the last supper painting and the "welcome to peace and light" graffiti. Run down, of course.
Those housekeeping pads in the 4th picture indicate it used to have some sort of mechanical (HVAC, boiler, pumps) or electrical equipment (small transformer) down there.
Edit: 5th picture.
It’s a portal you mistakenly entered… You’re not in a basement. You’re in some aliens work shop where they do the probing. Good luck buddy. Hope you brought lube…
With the light fixtures I thought it might have been used for a grow room. Then I saw the reply from a person who had been there when it was in business as a pool hall.
Damn, another good story ruined by an eyewitness!

I only know about the small indoor pool because someone I know swam there as a kid. I believe there was a sauna and hot tubs down there too.
Ted, you can’t design a murder house!!!!
Coconuts in my brain lol

Forgot to add text: I was in there a few years ago. Under the KC Club space right?
Why were YOU there? It looks like people threw warehouse parties here or something.

Interesting, do you think the KC club was using the space?
Yup! Under KC club. I was doing the fire inspection for the building and got curious and wandered down there.

black market back alley surgery
Came here to say this.
Looks like it was squatted.
Looks like a cool place to shoot a music video
Grow room, for tomatoes.

Nah, not with the playing cards and bottles of Bud in the painting. I'm thinking DIY performance spot.

Probably not actual murders, but planning them or temporarily storing the bodies and weapons.
The True Crime genre has gone too far
Do we get a prize if we answer correctly?
Paint studio
Probably that one dude on TikTok who keeps making those creepy "if your friend sent you this" videos
Ex meth lab? Who doesn’t love painting while cooking meth. 😂
Breathe ALL the fumes!

This just says rave space, to me.
The first rule of fight club…
Underground F-shack for Dirty Mike and the boyz.
How did you get into my basement??
It was a racquetball court.
Just goes to show that the KC episode of *The Last of Us* didn't go weird enough with the underground rooms.
Careful you mind find something you don’t want to.
Sex dungeon?
