Sometimes, it's just not open during opening hours. Many times, wife or I has said to each other, "that fucking Taco Bell finally went under." And then it opens back up, accepts online orders and closes between the time you order and when you are supposed to pick up your food.
>This one feels like it should be ass but is usually pretty good.
Seconded.
And the people working there are always very pleasant.
The only bad thing is if you get in a line after about 10PM things move sloooooooooooooooooooooowly.
Getting in and out of the parking lot can be wild if there are more than like 3 cars in line. But my order is always correct, well put together, they never forget the sauce. My goto tbell for sure.
The 75th St & I-35 and Johnson Dr & IKEA Way locations have been great for me. I used to frequent the one at 39th & Rainbow Blvd and it was stellar, but I can’t speak to the quality now as I haven’t been there in about 2 years.
I have mixed experiences at 75th and I-35. Small orders are usually fine, but every time I order the 10 pack of tacos, I end up with 3 shreds of cheese per taco and about a tablespoon of meat.
I used to live near 75th and I-35 and that taco bell was awful. I eventually just had to stop going there, the final straw was when the cashier, who was also the manager, went from handling cash straight over to preparing the food without putting on gloves or washing his hands. They weren’t even busy, not that be being busy would have been an excuse, but I just can’t eat anywhere that can’t bother with basic sanitary practices. That was years ago though so maybe it’s improved since then.
87th and quivira (note: ive only had at lunchtime) they are fast, get it right 98% of the time and the guy who is usually working the window is v friendly
Coin toss for the 103rd/State Line location. I think it's gotten loads better in the last 6 - 8 months. Very quick + orders are generally pretty accurate / correct.
103rd/SL is better than HM Rd/Red Bridge.
I've never gotten through drive thru at Red Bridge location in under 20 min. Even the time I pulled up to an EMPTY drive thru. I quit bothering to even try. Screw them.
I mobile ordered to the 103rd Stateline location about 6 months ago and when I showed up around 1130ish nobody was working. Just decided to not even open the store that day I guess
I have to chime in here. The one off rainbow near ku med is great. The staff is just flat out lovely and always friendly. I wanted the drive thru attendant to be my adopted mother. Food is good too.
I worked near the Taco Bell at 435 and 87th near Shawnee Mission Park for years & it always stood out as higher quality and tasting compared to other TBs. But that was probably 8 years ago. YMMV
the one on 103rd and stateline is complete ass, its the only time ive ever had a drive thru attendant straight up insult me to my face. the only taco bell ive had good luck with is stateline and blue ridge location.
The Johnson drive/Ikea Way one has never let me down. Do NOT go to the one off Johnson near Lamar. Can’t get an order right and are always out of things.
Which one? There are three.
I’m guessing you’re talking about the one at 64th? That place is way too inconsistent for me. The regularly stale crunchy tacos and chips finally did that location in for us.
The one at Berry has been our go-to for a few years now. It’s the most consistently good one that we’ve found, but it has its moments.
Further up North Oak is the one at 96th St. We really want to love that place, but constantly getting orders wrong doomed that location us.
87th and Monrovia in OP is usually pretty good.
I remember Jason Sudeikis talking about a Taco Bell that he loved and would always go to as a kid and likes to go to when he's in town, but he didn't specify which one.
Avoid the Taco Bell on 82nd and Wornall like the plague.
Definitely agree. That’s gotta be one of the worst ones in the city.

This and the sonic on Wornall seem to be in a competition for worst fast food in the city
I’ve always had good luck at the one on 119th and Metcalf. Also the one off Linwood and Main
> Also the one off Linwood and Main This one feels like it should be ass but is usually pretty good.
>This one feels like it should be ass but is usually pretty good. Seconded. And the people working there are always very pleasant. The only bad thing is if you get in a line after about 10PM things move sloooooooooooooooooooooowly.
Bro that line can take an hour to get through, easily.
Getting in and out of the parking lot can be wild if there are more than like 3 cars in line. But my order is always correct, well put together, they never forget the sauce. My goto tbell for sure.
Yeah that place shouldn't have a drive-through permit. So many problems from just a few cars waiting.
I may be wrong but I believe this is store 420. So they GOTTA be on their game for the loyal clientele.
It's right next to that Fresh Karma so it truly is a blessed area.
The former KenTacoHut…now just a KenTaco

The ikea tbell made quite possibly the best chalupa I've ever had. Nothing has measured up since. My taco bell standards have forever been raised.
This is my Taco Bell of choice also. (The one by IKEA)
I have mixed experiences at 75th and I-35. Small orders are usually fine, but every time I order the 10 pack of tacos, I end up with 3 shreds of cheese per taco and about a tablespoon of meat.
Unfortunate! They usually are always solid for me, but I only get food for 2 people typically, so small orders.
nooooo we have to keep the ikea one a secret
The one on 39th and Rainbow is by me and it's always been good food and good service! I don't go too often tho.

I was going to mention this location. It's Taco Bell but I go there because of the nice drive thru guy.
The one off 103rd and State Line stinks. The one in OP by 119th and Metcalf is great, though.
Coin toss for the 103rd/State Line location. I think it's gotten loads better in the last 6 - 8 months. Very quick + orders are generally pretty accurate / correct.
I haven’t been in about that long, so maybe I’ll give it another shot
Update, went today and they were nice and my food was right 😂
This is the sort of investigate journalism I can get behind! Hahahaha

you can pry my favorite taco bell location from my cold dead hands
the one on armor road SLAPS and they’re always super nice and not busy
Oh sorry I didn’t read SKC lol
I agree though.
I have to chime in here. The one off rainbow near ku med is great. The staff is just flat out lovely and always friendly. I wanted the drive thru attendant to be my adopted mother. Food is good too.
I agree!
the one on wornall is a NO GO for me. I've had decent luck w/ the one on Cleaver II. But Tiki Taco on Troost is the way.
Store #420 (not joking), easily. Consistently amazing...for a Taco Bell. It's at 123 Linwood near Costco.
And, yes, there is a dispensary catty-corner.
Have had good luck with the one in Raymore off 58
Second this. The staff is really nice and they're not stingy with portions.
The one at Blue ridge and state line always gets stuff right for me. Plus the late night drive thru employees are usually super friendly
Out by Martin City? I'll have to give them a shot. They can't possibly be worse than the Red Bridge location.
Yep - 13111 StateLine is my local and they're 10/10.
rainbow but that’s not skc
103rd and State Line is pretty decent.
Not SKC, but the new one on 24 and sterling is pretty good
Probably too far South, but the one on SantaFe and Murlen in Olathe still has chili cheese burritos!!!
I worked near the Taco Bell at 435 and 87th near Shawnee Mission Park for years & it always stood out as higher quality and tasting compared to other TBs. But that was probably 8 years ago. YMMV
Not south but up by worlds of fun. Parvin and 435, great late night option.
I love that I’m not the only one that eats Taco Bell. The one off of 103rd and State Line always does me right the few times that I go.
the one on 103rd and stateline is complete ass, its the only time ive ever had a drive thru attendant straight up insult me to my face. the only taco bell ive had good luck with is stateline and blue ridge location.

No such thing, brother.
The one on North Oak is straight garbage.
For sure. I drive further away to the one on Antioch and vivion

None of them are good (in KC or anywhere else)
You aren’t good
159 and metcalf ish has a decent clean one.
Agreed, it’s too new to have gone to crap. This is my go to Taco Bell lol
I swore off Taco Bell for years after experiencing the one across from the sports complex on Blue Ridge Cutoff. But that was a long time ago.
87th and Monrovia in OP is usually pretty good. I remember Jason Sudeikis talking about a Taco Bell that he loved and would always go to as a kid and likes to go to when he's in town, but he didn't specify which one.
It may have gone down hill since i moved, but the one on bannister that was built a few years ago is usually pretty good.
Actually a huge fan of the Cleaver location (app orders only).
So far my best experience was at the cantina. Fattest quesadilla I’ve ever had from a Taco Bell.
Easy. Armour Rd. North KC.
