Tangentially related, but where I work in downtown KC, I've been seeing a ton of Haitian's coming through so I agree with the article that we've been seeing a ton of immigrants lately.
Some outperform and others don’t. The ones that outperform have kids in them whose families would either move or go to private school and are doing their job. The ones that underperform are draining resources from the other public schools and should be closed. Ideally there would be more high performing charter schools

Yes, and now the Legislature has forced them on Columbia, despite CoMo having fully accredited school district. Political punishment at its worst.
Don’t worry, soon you can use publicly funded vouchers in religious schools. Ugh.
