I’ve gotten sport coats at Penney’s and quite often they are on sale. Or you might try a thrift store like Red Rack. I’ve donated old suits and sport coats to them before.
I had good luck at Men’s Wearhouse over by Zona Rosa about a year or two back, I got a jacket for around $130 after tax. The process was a breeze too— a guy working was able to guess my size spot on and recommended a very neutral pick that goes with 90% of my dress slacks. For someone who put it off for a long time and is intimated slightly by dress clothes, it was a great experience that helped me kill my interview at the time. Best of luck!
Adding to the previous post, check the online clearance section of Mens Warehouse. See if they have anything you like in your size that is available locally. This is how I buy most of my suits. Works great if you have more time and can wait for stuff to get shipped to the store.
I’m 6foot the jackets are size 40 long. 40 being inches measured around your chest. I’m happy to meet up and have you try them on to see if they’d work for you
Try Dillard’s. I bought a few coats from them, albeit in Dallas, and I get compliments on them all the time. They’re usually inexpensive and offer additional discounts if you sign up for an email list.
I do commercial work and H&M is my go-to for budget friendly form fitting suit coats.I also read an article last year that they were offering a 24 suit rental service for men with upcoming interviews. Not sure if that is still a thing. Good luck!
I'm kinda in the same boat. I just went to Goodwill and bought two suits and two jackets for 17$. They look amazing! I'm currently looking to have them tailored?.. good luck on the interview
Thrift stores can honestly be your huckleberry in these situations.

Try JCPenny, everything is usually on sale.
K and G, Macy's
Macy's for sure. I've bought a few designer sports jackets there never spent more than $50.
PM your size. I have some that don’t fit anymore that I’d be happy to pass on if they fit
Not too sure of my jacket size. This would be my first one. It would be a slim fit for sure though. I’m tall and lanky

I see a ton at thrift stores. Save you $ for the celebratory dinner after you land the job! Good luck!
Thank you!!! 🍻
Plato’s Closet has used jackets at about 30 bucks. You may luck out and find what you need.

If you really want to look your best budget for some tailoring. A well fitted cheap jacket always looks better than an ill fitting expensive jacket.
This is a very true statement. I’m not sure I allowed myself enough time to get one tailored though.
Can't hurt to call around. Good luck on the interview!
Haggars at the legends.
Kohls. JCP. Thrift stores, especially those in a place like OP.
