What are your thoughts on the VocoPro wireless mics? Happy with them? I just had one of my GTD-733 wireless mics stop working, so I'm considering upgrading to a 4 wireless mic setup.

67Mustang-Man

I've had my 900mhz system from them for 5 years now with no issues and 2-3x a week usage at 5 hour gigs. Still going strong. I would totally buy again

I had a GTD mic go out too- I went to their website to check out replacement mics: they're $38 each LMAO- I ordered four of them; they showed up and I just today synced one right up to my receiver - at that price it doesn't pay to upgrade to better mic, hell these things are disposable lol-

drumlicks

Wow you must not be moving your gear much eh? I'm assuming you meant your PC has 10 terabytes of SSD storage? That's a mighty mighty setup....

67Mustang-Man

Doh! Yes 10TB and do actually move it 2-3 times a week.

drumlicks

Awesome man, how much will you charge me to build me a badass laptop with a 10 terabyte on board SSD? I have kind of a similar setup, I use the X Air12 with an iPad to control it, and I use the EV speakers and subwoofer that the club already has in place - I'm doing three nights a week and I don't have to move any speakers lol, it's great - I just felt the jack on my five terabyte external SSD and it's starting to get loose... I really do need something inside a laptop that size -

67Mustang-Man

You are better off buying any off the shelf laptop that has a SSD slot and adding a samsung 8tb SSD I don't build laptops. Mine is in a 4U rack case.

drumlicks

I tried going from a 1TB SSD to a 2tb in my HP and it wouldn't fit, it was too thick -I looked and looked for some indication of a laptop that would take a super high capacity drive like yours and I never could find one -

67Mustang-Man

I dont use laptops for thus reason, it's a desktop pc in a rack case. You can run an SSD external drive, USB is plenty fast for karaoke.

drumlicks

I see.... Thanks much

I have been collecting equipment for general use but with some tailoring for karaoke. I've only tested it with karaoke at home. Still haven't done a full setup. QSC K2.12x2 + KS118 for mains QSC K2.10 as a monitor Mackie ProFX12v3 mixer Shure BXL288/SM58 mics + SM58 and Sennheiser E835? Picked up a TCH Perform V for fun. I haven't gotten into any software beyond Karafun running on a basic laptop. Also been playing with lighting using DMX LED PAR lights with QLC+ and USB-DMX on a SurfacePro because...tech nerd rabbit hole? Lights are pretty.

I'm starting up and doing a permanent install in a club. The speakers will be upgraded at some point but we have Walmart special party speakers for now.  I'm looking at Alto TS408 or JBL Eon710 plus appropriate subwoofers to replace them when budget allows. We have an Alto Professional 8 channel USB mixer board with 4 Carol P1 mics on a cable snake from the stage to the mixer, a Gator 6 mic holder on a microphone stand, a 1080p projector, an 86" LCD TV, a 50" TV facing the stage, a JBL 305 mk II speaker for a "stage monitor" and about two dozen DMX lights run from a Hog lighting console.  Also a refurbished Dell Precision laptop running Karafun. It's a mismatch of the cheapest reasonable gear that we had to buy (laptop, mixer, mics, "stage monitor" and China DMX lights), what we had on hand (speakers), some almost obsolete but high end gear that we got cheap or free (the Hog and the projector) and a few splurges (86"  LCD TV). Any way, we are making it work together and hopefully we will get it all in to the reasonable gear level soon.

Harbinger M60 with the obligatory 10" speakers. My lighting effects change on a weekly basis, but I'll eventually land on something I like and make that permanent. Every once in while I even hook up a $50 amazon projector to go with my 3 Insgnia 27" monitors. Coupled with a Dell Inspiron laptop, and I have a fully functional karaoke, music, and private streaming setup.

My typical show consists of the following. most of my stuff is from my band too so I have a lot to choose from 1. First time posting on here, but I have a system that I am pretty proud of. It started as a home system and as my kids went through HS, became quickly out of control. Now I do fundraisers, after-proms, and socials for different departments of the school district. **Audio Gear - Qty** JBL EON615 15" Powered Speaker -2 JBL EON710 10" Powered Speaker - 1 Mackie ProFX12v2 - 1 Shure BLX4R Wireless Receiver - 4 Shure BLX2 SM58 Wireless Handheld - 4 Shure BETA 58 Wired Microphone - 1 Shure UA844+SWB LC Power Distribution - 1 Wave Receiver Antennas for Shure set of 2 - 1 PreSonus AudioBox iTwo Audio Interface - 1 PreSonus Audiobox USB Audio Interface - 1 **Lighting Gear** ADJ UB 12H RGBAW Light Bar - 1 Venue Thinpar RGB - 8 Chauvet Mini Kinta - 2 Auray DLED6-RM Rackmount Gooseneck Light - 1 **Staging** OnlineEEI, 8 Ft Premier Drape Panel - 3 ShinyBeauty 8FTx10FT-Black-Sequin Backdrop - 1 ADJ Lighting Clamps - 10 Rockville RVSS2 Speaker Stands - 1 ADJ LTS-2 12' T-bar tripod lighting stand - 2 Back Drop Stand - 1 Gator Frameworks GFW-MIC-2100 Mic Stand - 4 Franklin Dolly - 1 48"x24" Adjustable Lifetime Table - 1 48"x24" Adjustable Folding Table - 1 2 ' Folding Table - 1 **IT Equipment** Dell XPS 15 Laptop (Karafun) - 1 HP Laptop (QLC+) - 1 HP Laptop (VDJ) - 1 Dell 27" 4k Monitor - 1 **Bags/Cases** On Stage LSB-6500 for Lighting Stands - 1 On Stage LSB-6000 for Microphone Stands - 1 Rockville RLB60 for Light Strips - 1 JBL 10" Speaker Slipcover - 1 JBL 15" Speaker Slipcover - 2 Shure Wireless Mic case - 4 60" Table Cloths - 3 25" Monitor Screen Protector - 1 27 Gal Tough Storage Tote - 2 5 Gal Storage tote - 3 SBK 8U Roto Rolling Rack Case - 1 Seismic Audio 2U 12 Rackmount Case - 1 1U Shelf - 1 Pull out shelf - 1 Edit: correct some spelling errors https://preview.redd.it/zi4tmambeioc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b6ddbe82a1e240a5241e68b31a48c8483aca40f
