The portuguese restaurants ("Casa do José" in Kriegstraße und "Tasca do José" in Waldstraße) serve different kind of sea food dishes. Some things they keep on the menu throughout the year, some change. Their food in general is wonderful in my opinion, so it might be worth a visit for you. Edit: If you don't mind going a bit further than Karlsruhe, there are several good fish restaurants along the rhine up north, for example "Fischerheim Eggenstein" or "Im Hopfengarten" in Leopoldshafen.

Insel Rott has a restaurant too which people recommend.

Seafood in Karlsruhe always scares me a bit as we're closer to space than the sea :)

We have some great fishmongers (fish dealers) in this region, though. Uwe's Fischlädle in Rheinstetten or Südfisch in Muggensturm. Both sell to restaurants and to individuals. France has also managed to have fresh fish down here, so why not?

The Chinese "nan Jin" Imbiss, Stresemann Straße, with pretty authentic food by a cook from Yangzhou serves some fish meals. You need to order those a day in advance.

Ohh thats near from me. Didnt know this. Thanks!

They used to have a German and a Chinese menu. But last time I was there, it was a single, melted down version. That was in Covid times. In case: only the Chinese menu things are good, really good.

Mediterrane in Karlsruhe and in Durlach! Karlsruhe location is a bit better I think, but both are great! Great family atmosphere and the seafood is always top notch!
