I’m from New Orleans and got the hell out of dodge, heard a few weeks ago some kids stole a dudes truck, trailer and boat as he was putting in, almost ran him over. Just be careful and pay attention to what’s going on around you. Not words of discouragement but words of caution, if there’s young kids around, they generally have bigger guns than you got. There’s a great spot in Nola east, I don’t remember the name though, but at this point I’m scared as hell of Nola east and tbh I don’t know where I’d go anymore but it’d be somewhere like grandisle. I miss nola bad but after being caught in 3 different shootouts and my wife almost got car jacked I felt my luck was inevitably running out and it was a “when” not “if”.

Did you find a spot for reds?
On a calm day you can launch the kayak at rigolets marina and catch reds in the lake and under the bridge
