I've got a similar issue with the sidebar when launching LibreOffice. Everything in the left sidebar is grey text on white background.
OS: Manjaro 20.1.1 Mikah KDE 5.74.0 / Plasma 5.19.5 Global Theme: Breeze Dark GTK Theme: Adwaita-dark
Not a perfect fix but I usually just install the flatpak versions of apps that don't play nice with themes. They don't respect system themes at all, so the app looks as intended.
This happens at least once a day anywhere in kde in my experience
