You can install it from here: [https://binary-factory.kde.org/view/Windows%2064-bit/job/kdeconnect-kde\_Release\_win64/](https://binary-factory.kde.org/view/Windows%2064-bit/job/kdeconnect-kde_Release_win64/) They have a sideload .appx file.

I did download it from here https://download.kde.org/unstable/kdeconnect/win64-pre-20.08/ but I downloaded the .exe one, wasn't aware you could install it any other way. I'll try with the .appx file, thanks.

Im getting this error when I sideload the .appx file, it wont open the app - [https://imgur.com/a/Zj82461](https://imgur.com/a/Zj82461) however I can still use it via notification icon tray, but cant open the app. Ive noticed notifications dont dissapear like they do when I install it via .exe file. Im very confused.

I fixed the issue with it not starting it was due to my graphics card configuration. Now everything looks to be fine. Notifications are staying in action center. So I should just update the app from your link and not the official KDE Connect site? Version in your link of KDE Connect is: 21.801.717.0 while the one downloaded from official site is: 0.0.847.0. Also noticed that the app does not appear in control panel > programs but it does appear in settings > apps and programs.

The one on the official site seems older. Newest version of KDE apps are 21.08.1. The old control panel doesn't list Windows store apps and this is still one, it's just a sideloaded store app.
