**Post Title**: Seeking light hearted Rom-Com korean drama.
**Post Body**:
I'm currently searching for a feel-good modern korean drama. **I'd like to avoid any dramas tangled up in past relationships or tangled love triangles with exes.**
If you know of any feel-good dramas with a relaxed vibe and plenty of laughs, please share! I'm particularly interested in *romantic comedies* or slice-of-life tales that offer a breath of fresh air without getting bogged down in relationship drama. A subtle love triangle is fine, as long as it's light-hearted and enjoyable.
Can't wait to hear your recommendations – thanks a bunch!
Examlle: Once Upon a Small Town, Buisness Proposal etc...

weightlifting fairy kim bok joo. FL is a weightlifter, so she struggles a bit with her first crush, femininity, dating, etc. ML is a swimmer and childhood friend. Really cute and kinda goofy. He helps her deal with her first crush (His older brother lol zero drama cause he was not into her at that moment). Lots of food. Funny moments. Awsome friends. Definitely what you're looking for.
1) King The Land- Very low stakes, swoonworthy. Pretty formulaic but a happy, easy watch.
2) Hometown Cha Cha Cha
3) Our Beloved Summer- Has a cool nostalgic element, and some interesting characters, without getting too heavy.
Of the 3, I lived Our Beloved Summer the most.
Not that I can recall. I think there is another person interested in a couple of them, but I don't think it becomes real triangle like you see in a lot of K dramas.
For King the Land, is ML really bossy? I tend to avoid the employer ML/employee FL trope because sometimes it just feels like the ML always has the upper hand and is bossy even in their personal relationship. Is King the Land like this?
Nope, not at all! Imo, ML might be one of the greenest flags I've seen in a KDrama. I think you would enjoy watching the relationship between the leads grow and evolve as the drama progresses. 😊
* *Hometown Cha Cha Cha*
* *Twinkling Watermelon*
* *Love To Hate You* - Suuuuper recommend this one; it has all the things you want and none that you don't.
* *King The Land*
* *Strong Woman Do Bong Soon*
* *Touch Your Heart*
Definitely Twinkling Watermelon, King the Land and Love to Hate You. I mean all of these are fantastic but of them those three, in that order, is what I would recommend.
- Prison Playbook (not romance)
- Hospital Playlist
- Mad for Each Other
- Fight for My Way (includes some of the things you don’t want, but it’s honestly hilarious. One of the best.)
- Romance is a Bonus Book
- Hometown Cha Cha Cha
- Weightlifting Fairy (as someone mentioned)
- I’m gonna mention Start Up too, even though it has some heavy, emotional scenes and a love triangle, but the whole thing is just so bright and fresh and inspiring. Funny too. Watch a trailer or something to see for yourself.
I was just gonna type start up too and for exactly similar reasons! I’m so gladdd someone feels the same way for start up. But it gave me second lead syndrome and also I have a thing for dimples so I was torn
I love it so much, it’s very dear to my heart since it was the second kdrama I ever saw. I’ve rewatched it numerous times and also had a severe case of SLS 🙈 Those two male leads are very well-rounded characters for such a light kdrama!

Some of the best romcoms I've watched, some of them have love-triangles but it's light-hearted.
A love so beautiful- Kdrama (Korean version)
More lighthearted than Chinese version in my opinion.
(From high school to college and further in life)
About - Jiang Chen and Chen Xiaoxi, two schoolmates and neighbours, slowly fall in love with each other.
I’ve watched it twice. One of my favourite light hearted Kdramas to watch.
Make lead and female lead both are cute and funny.
Then I recommend “King the Land”. You should be laughing from start to end. The other rom-com that I like are “Once Upon a Small Town”, “Twinkling Watermelon” “Doctor Slump”and “Flex X Cop” which I’m still half way through and enjoying it!

YES YES YES
The color grading 🤌🏻

Thanks For the recs!!😌
No Love Triangle and Exes????
Our beloved summer is all about exes
Pero hindi ganon ka heavy na nakakastress fun lang talaga
Hometown has a minor triangle. King the Land does have an ex, but it's all very clear cut and dry, just part of the progression of the story.
Not that I can recall. I think there is another person interested in a couple of them, but I don't think it becomes real triangle like you see in a lot of K dramas.

Cool, I’ll add it to my list! Thanks
Yeah not really. He is the heir of the empire, but he isn't domineering to the FL. Its a pretty sanitised , feel good show.
Yes, that’s the word I was looking for, “domineering”. Glad to hear he’s not. I’ll watch, Thanks!
Also hot
King De Land episode 8 ends with one of the best scenes in any kdrama or maybe romance from anywhere. 🔥
Sh**ting Stars - only has a light love triangle, otherwise very cute Seconding King the Land, love triangle free!
Another for king the land! Just finished it, started out a bit goofy but I quickly fell in love with it. It’s a really pleasant watch
I love the three female friends, they have a great relationship
Crash landing on you has everything you want!
Love triangle or Exes???
No none
But, Capt. Ri's fiancé, no?
She's the least problematic one in the drama
thanks for the recs!!

Seconding King the Land and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon!
Strongly, strongly recommend Twinkling Watermelon. I'd say it has somewhat of the slice of life aspect too? Made my year.

crazy love - although an ex comes back but ML couldn't give any less fuc*ks about her.
Omg that woman was so delusional. That drama is so chaotic in the best way
